  1. Since I am mostly computer challenged and can't seem to post the you tube media, you will have to settel for the link.... When De-wicking my atty still isn't enough, not enough vapor or just not preforming right. I will test the atty with a multimeter...should read any where from 1.8ish to 2.4 ish depending on the atty type. If the reading is good, I will debridge the atty. Mind you, I am figuring the atty is headed for the trash....so why not try debridging. Most of the time, I am able to salvage the atty and get good vapor and flavor again. This is only an option if you drip......
  2. For me, I use them for a couple weeks...the only cleaning I do, is every couple days, I twist the corner of a kleenex or paper towel, gently push into the open end of the atty and let sit over night. drip about 4-5 drops to the atty to reprime. When I start getting the burnt/metal taste...its time to de-wick it and use until it dies. even after de-wicking i use the papertowel method to clean every couple days to keep it from getting clogged up. most of my attys last about a month.
  3. I am not going to much help with V2 products, Not used them before. I am not sure what components will be compatible with it. The ecig world is very overwhelming initially, but once you get the hang of things you will love vaping !!! and in the end, it really is cheaper than smoking. I do however, suggest you look at the 510 products and the ego products. These products have the best interchangeability and greatest accessibility from most vendors. It really is tough being on a tight budget, just build your supplies one step at a time. /The 510 and ego are interchangeable. The VT Store has great liquid flavors, Forever Vapor has great selection--links to these shops are at the top of the page. You can check out our supporting suppliers section on the main forum page. Each of them offers great products and service. I also use Liberty flights http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp. They carry 510, ego and riva (ego type product). The riva is a bit cheaper, its a knock off of the joye ego...that being said, I have used the riva products without and problems. If you click the flag in the upper left corner before shopping you will get 20%off. Hang in there....I promise it will get easier.
  4. Congrats on getting a handle on things so quickly. Vaping really is an amazing thing. My go to vendors (other than VT)...speaking of which I think I need some more liquid.... Wordup ecig liberty-flights freedom smoke usa Rocky Mountain vapor They all care something a bit different. I haven't had trouble with any of them. All have good liquids to choose from. They have all been around for a bit.
  5. You really should give it a try...I am always reluctant to try new things...I'm a die hard dripper, but the tank really is great for driving or other non dripping times. I love the fact that the throat hit and vapor remains so consistent. I will still be dripping when I am changing flavors more frequently...I get bored easily. But I am still loving this tank, usually by now what ever product I am trying is already starting to lose its luster.
  6. Sorry to hear you are having trouble. Not much help as far as the Ego C goes. Sometimes parts just fail...bad batch possibly. Hopefully the supplier will be able to help. Its frustrating when parts fail for no apparent reason, Those of us that have been vaping for a while have run into failed parts now and again. Seems to be part of a rapidly growing technology...growing pains. Hope you are able to get things resolved.
  7. I am pretty sure my husband isn't going to like having one this close...I am already plotting my next trip. I may not have tried the Tube Tank if I hadn't been able to see and touch and vape. At least now I don't have to panic about running low (mind you low is a relative term) on supplies.
  8. Things that make you go hmmmm..... yet another questionable ecig, with a pretty price no doubt. Love the FDA part....I am sure they aren't done with us yet...gearing up for another attack is my guess. On the plus side....it does get information out there and gets people to thinking and hopefully they do some research before being suckered into purchasing a crappy device.
  9. Sorry this is a long one: I decided to stop into Volcanos Cafe/shop in Honolulu. They have come a long way with their products. They sell the 'Inferno' which is an ego type battery. Not to mention the ' Lava Tube'--very sleek looking device, For me however, a bit to big. Then again, I already have a couple VV mods that work well for me. But, what caught my attention was the 'Tube Tank'. I know, Tank mods have been around for a while, but I am slow to change. plus, I am very visual and tactile. Seeing the Tube Tank hooked up to their inferno model and the ability to put it on my ego batteries without looking too weird and cumbersome....I was sold. I have never been able to make cartomizers work well for me and I always go back to dripping. (The center portion of the Tube tank is a cartomizer). Tried the Ego tank and 510 tank systems-worked well for about a week(or less), Then lost too much flavor and vapor. again, went back to dripping. (dripping into the 510 tank atomizers works great), Then There is The Tube Tank...been using it for about 4 days and I am still in love. hold 3-4mls of liquid. Tube Tank does require priming the center cartomizer before first use and then filling the Tank portion with flavor of choice. When needed, just change out the center cartomizer piece..The outer Tank piece can be used indefinitely. Great Flavor and Great Vapor--very consistent over the last 4 days. Equivalent to dripping...and for me that is huge. No leakage (unlike dripping) and no liquid in my mouth (dripping side effect). When using my vv-My sweet spot is 4.7-5V. The Tube Tank + My ego battery = similar to vaping at 4.7-5V. Perfect for driving. I have actually found I vape a bit less when using the Tube Tank....feel more satisfied. When using the Tube Tank on their Inferno or the Ego, There is an optional component...'Tube Sock'-a metal insert that fits between the battery and the Tube Tank to give a more flush look. The Tube Sock fits a bit loose on the ego--fixed with a small o ring (which is already in place on the inferno). Overall, I am pretty impressed with the Tube Tank and the ability to use on my existing batteries without looking awkward. Yes, I am appearance driven. (at least in public) The Cafe/Shop was great, the staff very helpful. able to tryout the equipment and flavors. Plus, have really good coffee !!! I may have found a new vaping sweet spot device setup. The only draw back at this point (vs dripping) is inability to easily change flavors--guess I will have to buy a couple more.... They also have shops/cafe in Washington and North Carolina. plus have some mall kiosks- West Virginal, South Carolina and Tracy-California. *Pic1- Inferno with the Tube tank attached. Below is my 900mah ego battery. *Pic 2- Inferno + Tube Sock + Tank + Drip Tip *Pic 3- Ego 900Mah + Tank (Without Tube Sock) *Pic4 Ego 900Mah + Tube Sock + Tank *Pic5 Internal cartomizer + Tank Casing + Drip Tip. Thanks for letting me Ramble !! Happy Vaping
  10. For my new job, I am an ex-smoker that uses nicotine replacement. Was tested for nicotine, naturally-positive, just explained I was using a nicotine replacement.....haven't been unhired yet anyway. If I would have been thinking, I would have gone 0 nic for a few days to avoid any potential hassle. Nicotine stays in the system for 2-4 days.
  11. Nice way to start my day ....Everyone of them is true !!!
  12. Welcome !! You will find this is a great place to hang out.
  13. Congrats on the upgrade...VV is an amazing thing. Hoping to try one out soon....I'm currently in Oahu and Volcano has a vaping lounge and hoping they will let my try one....saw one at the mall and it looked pretty solid. might be a bit big for me, but until I give it a try I won't know. Really looks nice !!
  14. We all go through this at one point or another....honestly, I am satisfied with the ego for everyday type of use...but then again, I adore my Mark mod (a usable piece of art), I really like my VV--sometimes, I just need a bit more kick and my turbo vv works great when I need a bit more hit. sometimes, its just nice to have an option.
  15. I change my mind....I want the speed racer car !!!!
  16. voltage does make a difference !!!
  17. I am very glad you stuff has arrived and now you can just relax and vape. You will have some ups and downs with vaping (and your cancer), keep at it and it will be worth the effort. If you have any trouble or questions, there is always somebody around to help. even if you just need moral support.
  18. I am sooooo glad you are a happy vaper again...nothing beats that feeling !!
