I find I have to change flavors often....The flavors changes or disappears by the end of the day for me. I find too, If I alternate between a fruit flavor and coffeeish flavor it keeps my taste buds active.

I am not at all sure what type of atomizer will fit the threads on the device you got....but the best way to be able to test flavors is by using an atomizer and dripping. easy to change flavors frequently.

Hey Brian, If you break out the black cherry again, let me know if you can make it work....I really love black cherry. If you have an good fruit type flavors, maybe just adding a small amount to a premixed solution will give flavor without the perfumey/robitussion flavor....

LOL....I am certain they are debating weather or not to alert security !!! There are a few vendors that sell a blunt tip needle or the needle caps. I can see the whole needle and syringe thing feeling like a drug addict. I look at it differently, I look at as drawing up my medication. Then again, being a nurse makes it easier. Using a needle and syringe really does make filling a tank so much easier..... Jeff...you could probably handle a needle cap...

Hi, Welcome to the world of DIY !! It really doesn't have to be too hard. I love DIY. Bryan posted the link to my how to on DIY basics. I usually prefer Flavour Art (FA) or Perfumers Apprentince (PA).. PA has a great Caramel and Marshmallow (Great for using as a sweetener), vanilla. FA- I love their Apple Pie, Tiramisu, and cafe esspresso, Vanilla, menthol Loranns- Watermelon, English Toffee, Butterscotch and Butter Rum All that being said...flavor is very subjective. Mix small amounts to start so you can play with the flavors until you find the right combination. For now, You can mix any existing premixed flavors you have together...multiple flavors make a great new flavor. i.e: You can use the caramel you don't like and mix with the cinnacide....I actually like caramel and cinnamon together. again, start small...mix only about a ml or so to begin. I also love adding a bit of menthol to all my flavors...for me, I just add a few drop...but you make like it a bit stronger. They great part of DIY is mixing to your taste. Merry Mixing

The cutoff seems to vary on all of mine, I have found the cut off doesn't really affect my vaping and I take fairly long draws.

I have used 510 lr atty's with a 510, don't see why the lr boge cartos wouldn't work....basically if it works on an ego it will work on the 510...they are both the same voltage. The 510 just has a much shorter battery life.

ya, most do have some kind of cut off...which for me is good...helps keep from burning up my attys.

caseace79....sorry we are hijacking your thread. We all try to offer information and advice to the best of our knowledge....because a product fails doesn't make it the fault of the person that is passing along information. I'm with Jeff, your anger is very much displaced. Welcome !!! Like you, I always go back to atty's, I always go back to dripping. I haven't been able to make cartos work for me either. For the last week I have been using the Tube Tank from Volcano ecigs....works great with my ego, holds about 3mls, internal component is a cartomizer and I am still loving it. the only draw back has been some flavor loss over the last week, but the vapor and throat hit is great. Posted some pics of it on my ego.... I hear good things about the Map tank also. Honestly, Its all about what works best for you. You would think, after 2 1/2 years of vaping, and I always go back to dripping, I would quite looking for new things....I must admit, so far the Tube Tank has been great for driving or other times I can't drip. Much, Much better than the Ego tank or the 510 Tank.

Many medications have opposite reactions in certain people...nicotine is one of these. can be a stimulant, a depressant or both. Benadryl is another one....for most people it makes sleepy, some it makes hyper. Ritalin or other ADD meds are an amphetamine or the equivalent to speed...in those with ADD its a depressant, in the rest of the world its a stimulant...... It all depends on the individual and the individual reaction

that really is a nice looking device !!! I personally seem to like the 4.5-5.0 range. I assume its not a VV....? You will never know if you like 6 v unless you try it. Like Dayvape pointed out...right parts make all the difference.

Welcome Back !!!!! and Congrats on 6 mos. It really is amazing how fast the times goes. I had the same problem there for a bit...life got in the way of my forum time..now I make it a point to check in alot more often. Glad you made it back home.

one of the great things about the ego is the versatility....can also use the 510 tanks with it if you choose. atomizers, dripping, cartomizers...so long as they are 510 compatible you are good to go. the only way to find out what works best for you is to try different methods....unlike smoking, we have way more choices.

Ok, sounds like possibly flooded the atty...it happens. My fix, hold the button down for a couple seconds, suck in and blow out quickly(4-5 times) to dislodge some of the excess liquid, repeat until the atty seems like its producing more vapor, and do this a few more times. May need to let the atty cool a bit in between. if it starts to taste a bit burnt...add a couple drops of liquid and it should be vapeable. I promise it gets easier...the learning curve can be a bit frustrating, but I swear its worth it

You've already received some good responses about cartos, which is good, because I am no help there. Its always good to understand whats going on. 3. How do I do the math as to how much nicotine I'm getting? I heard someone say that 18 mg is the strength that most closely mimicks real smokes, but how is that possible, when 1 cigarette carries about 1 - 2 mg of nicotine? e-liquid is measured in mg per ml. so there is 18mg of nicotine in 1 ml of liquid. Once you figure out how man mls of liquid you are using, its easy enough to figure out how many mgs. For me I was a 30 cigarette/day smoker...currently I am about a 1.5ml-2ml per day vaper...Nicotine intake is about 27-36mg/day....which is about the same as when I was smoking. you also have to take into account...cigarettes contain additional chemical s to improve the absorption of nicotine. vaping does not contain these added chemicals. Clear as mud.... 4. How many drops are in a ml, and how many drags do you get from one drop and/or ml? I mean I know it will vary depending on drag length, liquid viscosity, etc. But are there estimates/averages?On average there are 30 drops / ml if using PG and 20 drops/ml if using VG....so depending on the PG/VG mix, the drips/ml can change. The drops per ml can also vary depending on the dropper bottle. If you really want to know....you can get a 1 or 3ml syringe (can get from pharmacy for liquid medication dispensing) and test it out. Since I mostly drip....2 drops directly to the atomizer gives me about 5-6 draws. At 6mg/ml I don't think its possible for you to overdue the nicotine. The nicotine strength will also influence the throat hit....The higher the nicotine strength the stronger the throat hit. happy Vaping !! ask away

Hey Bistik... I with you on this one...I have tried several different types of cartos and the flavor does die off after a couple days, still get good vapor and throat hit, just less flavor. I mostly drip when I am looking for better flavor. Cartos are great for on the go. I have recently switched to the Tube Tank (there are several models out there) from volcano. holds lots of liquid and great vapor and throat hit....but same problem, flavor dies out after a couple days. Still great for when I am out and about.

Just like Jeff said.....The cone is really an optional item for appearance...if its too snug, you can always leave the cone off. personal preference,I never use the cones anymore.
