Honestly, I prefer 'fiddle free' devices. I don't even like having to mess with cartos. I can deal with the Tube tank, because I only have to fill the carto once...when I change it out in the tanks. last change was about 2 weeks ago. Personally, the ego clearomizer has been very 'fiddle free'. I don't have to tip it for the device to wick. It does help to lay it on its side or mouth piece down when not in your hands. When in my hands...between draws..I just let it rest mouth piece down. no leaking, no fuss, no muss. filling is even incredibly easy. Flavor does die off after a bit...but I have determined this to be my taste buds. If I use the same flavor for more than a day or so, I start losing flavor. Its why I always love dripping, I can easily change flavors several times a day. Today, I just rinsed out my clearomizer, shook out the excess water, refilled with a new flavor and vaped. no waiting for it to dry. Mind you, this is just my personal experience. as we all know, we all have different perspectives and tastes. Currently I am using the clearomizers most of the day and dripping with my VV when I want a flavor change. working well for me so far. @Jeff....It doesn't completely eliminate dripping...I have found, I will always love dripping.

I have diluted the 0 nic solution (with the flash) a bit more and It really does seem to work pretty well. I have been using it most of today and enjoying it. The apple pie flavor is really good at 0mg. A little of this stuff goes a very long way.

Breal....glad you are liking your clearomizer. I am still happy with mine. which for me is amazing...I usually find after a couple days, my interest dies out and I go back to dripping. I did have mine clog up a bit today, not sure if it was the flavor or the VG..... however, I was able to rinse out, refill and use. no leaving overnight to dry. I am really liking how easy these are to use. It does use a fair amount of liquid, but so does my other tank. Sounds like a decent mix....key lime sounds pretty good.

I plan trying both of them !! I love new recipes.

The DV line is a premixed liquid....contains nicotine, but is really strong in flavor and can be used for mixing....especially the menthol. Glad things went well with your brother...he will do just fine. Personally, I like PG. better throat hit.

I'm glad you are liking the clearomizer. It really is pretty amazing. I love how simple it is to use. so far the flavor is holding up. jury is still out as far as dripping vs the ego elegance. I have never tried Bobas so I can't comment.

Glad you found a mix for that nasty sore throat !!! PG or VG?? VG would be better for a sore throat....

Mind you....I have no intention to change my nicotine level. have used 18mg for the last 2+ years and am happy there. I play with 0 nic just in case the impossible happens and the world runs out of nicotine.....My way, way, way backup plan. I know for a fact I can never go back to smoking (smoked for 30 years) and I can never(possibly never) give up vaping. my second reason, is occasionally I have a liquid that needs a bit more something and usually its throat hit...sometimes I just add more nicotine or add a bit of flavoring. adding menthol though is a must for me....I love the coolish throat hit it gives. Dayvape knows what I mean.

Ego came out, then the Riva followed and now we have the KGO. I love having all the versatility available these days. plus they are compatible with all the 510 accessories. @ Bob...Lol, sorry, no help with Bobas yet.

You'll do fine with mixing....we can help with that as needed. I started mixing 2 weeks after I started vaping...needed the extra flavor. Alot of mixing depends on the person. I love cooking and mixing flavors with that...vaping mixing for me is the same thing. I am still liking my ego clearomizers(easiest) and will work with KGO and I do still like my Tube tank from volcano ecig. The tube tank is a 3ml tank and works great. it has cartomizers that go with it...when needed, just change the cartomizer. The tank portion is reusable indefinitely. requires priming the cartomizer before use. The KGO and the Riva are the same as the Ego(Joye product)....just made by a different manufacturer.

Always in search of more throat hit. Sorry, this is going to be a long post. OK, Been playing around with flavorings for adding throat hit to liquids without adding more nicotine. I will start with Menthol. I have been using menthol for the longest. I have found that adding a few drops of menthol flavoring to any liquid helps add a bit of cool throat hit without tasting like menthol. Currently I use Flavour Art menthol From Ecig express. Adds a bit of cool throat hit to any flavor. When I mix 0mg, to get more throat hit, I end up having to add too much menthol for my taste. I can live with it if I have too and if you like menthol this is certainly an option. I still add a bit of menthol to all my flavors, I like the additional throat hit. Its not a huge difference with throat hit, but it helps. Cinnamon Started playing with cinnamon flavoring for throat hit a few months back. Flavour Art cinnamon from Ecig express and schilling cinnamon (over the counter, baking isle) Prefer the flavour art cinnamon over the schilling(not as concentrated), but the schilling will do in a pinch. The cinnamon adds a bit of a warmer throat hit. Same thing....I don't add much. about 6-8 drops per 10ml. The more you add the more cinnamon flavor. I'm not a huge cinnamon fan, so I stick to just a bit for an extra bit of throat hit. Cinnamon does add a decent throat hit and would mix well with most flavors....especially if used in smaller amounts. Flash Now to the point of this Topic. When I am playing with new mixes and flavors I use a 510LR atomizer and dripping.... 18mg liquid (3mls) + Flash 10 drops (just under .5ml)---does help with the throat hit. Dripping 2 drops to the atomizer I get a nice addition to the throat hit, but as the liquid burns off (after about 3-4 hits) the throat hit becomes harsh and peppery. After adding another couple drops...good throat hit again. If I let the the liquid mostly burn from the atomizer...gets really harsh and actually makes me cough. have to keep the atomizer pretty wet to maintain the throat hit without getting the harsh hit. Same concoction + Ego Elegance clearomizer. Seems to work better in the clearomizer. The heating element stays wet enough to keep a balanced throat hit. Still get an occasional harsh/peppery throat hit...but doesn't make me cough. Now....Flash + 0mg mix Mix: 1ml PG, 1.5ml VG, 1.5ml Apple pie flavoring (Flavour Art) .5ml Flash (added a bit at a time until I hit .5ml) Stopped adding the Flash at .5 ml...starting to get a bit to strong/peppery and had to add a bit more flavoring and VG. Does add throat hit. again using a 510 LR atomizer and dripping. Very good flavor and good throat hit (not great, but good, especially for 0 nic) I really could vape this all day(I think..still playing). Same Problem, as the liquid burns off, the throat hit gets really harsh and makes me cough. kinda like inhaling pepper. Next step will be to add to my ego clearomizer (later today) and see how it holds up at 0mg. Flash does have some potential...I did try it straight up and never again...way to harsh for me to vape straight. _____________________________________ In the near future I want to play with using a mix of flash + cinnamon and flash + menthol for throat hit. Sorry the post is so long.....

If you go with the decadant vapors menthol it is already 50% crystals mixed with PG....really strong stuff. If you need to mix for him I would give him one 50/50 and one 25%menthol to 75%tobacco. The Decadent vapors line (under tobacco flavors) makes a Premier tobacco ice...that might be the ticket. The guy that created the decadent vapors line is really reputable and has good taste. They have 5ml sizes...you can have him pick a few flavors to try...... I am sure there are lots of other great menthol flavors out there...Just trying to keep you from having to order from different vendors. Not played with menthol crystals...I use the decadant vapors flavorings....the menthol flavoring from DV is killer strong. 1-2 drops for 10ml is all I can handle. Then again I only use it for background flavor, not really a menthol vapor.

Any Luck with the apple Mike? so far the only apple pie flavor I have found that works for me is flavour art...interest to see if you can come up with something similar. The flavour art Apple pie....really tastes like apple pie...buttery crust and all.

Not sure with Bobas.....but I think it should be ok. If it seems to clog up, give it 5 or 6 quick blow in and suck out (while depressing the button on the battery) you will see the vapor come out of the top of the clearomizer, then vape normal. usually works to unclog many devices. I added some more VG to my mix last night, Im at about 70/30...so far working fine. I'll add some more VG today and see how it goes.

They also carry a line of liquids called decadent vapors(made in the UK)...they have a really concentrated menthol flavor. If he also got a tobacco flavor...he could add the menthol to his own taste or just use the menthol....really does have a kick !!! For liberty flights, make sure to click on the 20% in the right upper corner of the site before shopping. They only go up to 24mg liquid, but honestly 24 mg should do it for him.. a few do use 36mg, but mostly it is used for mixing.

@ Breal- so far still pretty good. I've been using it pretty consistently for the last 3 days (despite its swim in the ocean) and I am still impressed. I really like the smaller size of this one. My tube tank holds about 3 mls, and fits nicely on my ego, but I like to change flavors more often and with the 1.6ml clearomizer, I can change more often. The flavor has remained consistent, good throat hit and vapor. I actually made it almost 48 hours without dripping...then needed a flavor change.... Dripping fruitty flavor and keeping my coffee(ish) flavor for the clearomizer. If I vape the same flavor for too long, I really lose the flavor. @ Mas...I vape pretty much PG. I occasionally add a bit of VG for vapor or sweetness, but not much. Maybe 90/10. I would think this would be able to handle a 50/50 mix. If you want, I can give it a try tomorrow, before you order. I can mix a batch of 50/50 and see how it wicks.....

Always good to have backups !!! The ego is a pretty reliable little unit. plus, if it doesn't work on the provari...you can still use your clearomizers.
