  1. I have finally got around to trying the 306 atomizers. (took me long enough...I have a hard time with change). I am(was) a die hard 510LR dripper..... Initially, the packaging of the atomizer had me a bit perplexed. (I have used 510 atomizers exclusively for the last 2 1/2+ years.). I was thinking of it in terms of a 510 atomizer. When it arrived, I thought I had ordered a cartomizer by mistake - not realizing it is just a cover for the heating element. once I figured out the plastic cartridge can easily by removed to expose the heating element and the plastic drip tip(included separately) is then slipped over the heating element and is ready to vape. I know, I know....noob moment. But then again, My experience beyond the 510's is pretty limited. And I did figure it out (finally). Been using the 306 for dripping the last couple days and it really is pretty great. Nice warm vapor, excellent throat hit and vapor. I find I actually take a shorter draw with the 306 as compared to the 510 LR's. Excellent flavor...even better than the 510's. No wick to burn or trap juice. I still only drip 2 drops at a time, same as with the 510. Tried 3, but had a bit of leaking. Even with the 510's I only use 2 drops at a time. Very consistent hit each time. does get a dry hit when time to re drip (no drip shield yet)...however, the dry hit, isn't near as nasty as with the 510's. Over all, I really like the 306's for dripping. I may have finally found a replacement for 510LR's. Actually had to order a few more from the forever vapor store (while I was stocking up on a few more VT liquids.)
  2. I love your new (old) Avatar !!! now I know its you.
  3. I am glad you got there to comfort her...what a horrible ordeal !!! And please Bob...for all our sakes....DO NOT BIKE AND DRIVE!!!
  4. I am glad you are still loving your KGO. Vaping really is that amazing !!!
  5. I am so glad she is OK...and so sorry she was in the middle of the shooting.
  6. God, That is awful !!! Please let us know when you get a hold of her. I am sure it is chaos there right now. Hang in there !!!
  7. You have good taste Mike !!! I mostly use the coffee flavors with the apple pie and tiramisu. I have really fallen in love with FW butterscotch.....
  8. I do occasionally have an atty that gets pretty hot when I vape/drip heavily....usually its an old atty. Not sure why you have a new atty that is getting that hot. I do make sure I let them cool down when I feel them getting hot. I don't even have the new LR attys at 5v get too hot. warm yes, but not that hot. How many drops you adding?
  9. That is a great testament to generosity. very nice Dayvape, you deserve the recognition !! I love pay it forward.....
  10. I think one of the best parts of vaping is the variety. There is a vaping setup for everybody. We may not all agree on the ideal setup, but we do agree that vaping is an amazing journey.
  11. I don't have the star dust..but I do have the ego elegance....same type, different maker. I have been using mine for a couple weeks and so far so good. and yes, when its done the whole thing goes. Unlike tanks with internal replaceable cartomizers.
  12. Very glad you have you KGO !!! Sounds like you are off to a very great start. with the drip tip, you can go either way....don't have to pull it off, but the liquid does have a tendency to run down the center of the carto....best to top off on the sides onto the filler. happy Vaping !!
  13. Dripping Rocks !!!!! Just takes a certain skill......
  14. You will do great !!! I love the challenge, plus, I only do it for me. I do love sharing...but ultimately I do it to my taste. Once you get the hang of things it really does get easier. When I get new flavors...I will mix just the flavor and some PG and/or VG, can use unflavored nicotine liquid if you want. I just mix about .3mls PG and .2ml flavor...gives me an idea of how strong the flavor is and its actual flavor. I do keep the flavors I love separate from the flavors I like....Then I begin mixing and matching flavors, and the fun begins !!
  15. VG just has a bit less throat hit than PG. So long as it has Nicotine in it, you will still get the throat hit. I love a bit of menthol in just about all liquids....ok, I haven't found a flavor yet, that I couldn't add a bit of menthol.
  16. With a debridged atty...2 drops is all it will hold...and good for 4-6 draws. I usually begin with dewicking...saves that yucky burning nylon flavor when the liquid runs low. I usually on debridge when it begins showing signs of wear...less vapor, less flavor. Im really glad its still working. getting the mesh off is the hardest part. for me, I push it off the the side and just work at it a bit at a time. The heating element can actually shift up ward a bit without compromising the atty. Just like everything else in vaping, dripping has its own learning curve. once you get the hang of it, the dripping lessens quite a bit. I just keep a kleenex or shirt corner on hand. If you disconnect the atty and wipe it down once in a while and wipe the battery end...helps with overall leakage.
  17. I don't really have anything to add....Just glad you are giving vaping a try. It really is a great way to get away from smoking. so many options available. Congrats Jeddy...glad vaping is helping you cut down on smoking. It really does feel good to smoke less and less.
  18. so now it has a name, I like it !!! the 'flavor monkey' has been taunting me since the day I first began vaping....follows me everywhere. It is the reason I DIY...I can never leave a flavor alone....just need a little of this or maybe a little more of that. Welcome to DIY !!!
  19. Some great collections !!! Dang Bob...you've really got a nice collection growing. Someday I'll get my stuff together and get some pics. Not near that many mods however. Mega....Great wood
  20. I get alot of my stuff here. http://www.ecigexpress.com/ . good prices. flavour art...tons of choices. like I said above...I love the tiramisu, apple pie and coffee espresso. Flavor west: caramel, butterscotch, sugar cookie, and mint chocolate Lorann: watermelon, butter rum and english toffee. Another Great site is http://www.onestopdiyshop.com/products/The-Flavor-Apprentice-Professional-Flavors.html They have perfumer apprentice: I like the caramel, marshmallow (great sweetener), english toffee....those are the only ones I have used....tons of different flavors. Both are great for supplies. The 3ml bottles are great for testing mixes.
  21. Does that particular skull design have a particular meaning for you? Just wondering if it needs to be that specific design?
  22. We are sitting at 4.25 ish....varies day to day. glad I don't live in frisco !!!!
  23. My list is long of failures..why I mix in small amounts. My favorites are tiramisu, Apple Pie, Coffee espresso--all from Flavour Art. Those I mix and match and play with. add a bit of menthol to all my mixes for a little extra throat hit. a bit of cinnamon works too. My recipes have a tendency to change on a daily basis...always adding a bit of this then a bit of that. Its amazing what combinations work well together....who would have thought rootbeer and peach....well, apparently you did.... Mixing is always an adventure !!!
  24. I am pretty sure I will always have a love for dripping. Nothing beats it for flavor, vapor and throat hit. Ya, its a pain to always need to add more, but honestly I do it without even thinking about it. There are times when dripping is difficutly...driving, shopping, movies etc...then its great to have my tanks. I have been using my tank and ego cleaomizer more, but, I still drip when I can. Most of my atomizers last a couple weeks to a month...about the same as the tank cartos.
