DIY is Good !!! almost bedtime, work tomorrow....Yuck. at least its supposed to rain. -
ya, it must just be a taste thing. Mine seem to work great, can taste the flavors. Dripping is still slightly better for flavor, but the clearomizer is so much less hassle. Its like all things vaping....boils down to personal preference and taste. Its one of the great things about vaping....so many options.

ooooooh, Mail just arrived. My 510 LR attys have arrived from nicotine highway....couldn't resist the price. bought a few extra for the box. -
We all have to find our own path with vaping or not vaping. Even if he goes back to smoking....vaping will still be there when he comes back.

I am very glad you didn't get electrocuted Mike. Really enjoying my Ego vision clearomizer. Chores mostly done...just chillin and vapin...life is good -
510 + drip tip is about 1cm longer than the 306 +drip tip, just enough difference that the XL tip for the 306 would be necessary to make the drip shield work.
-
At this point...regardless of the claims.....I haven't seen any that will actually replace your caffeine habit. The amount of vapable caffeine you would receive would be minimal, plus caffeine is not readily absorbable by the lungs. No doz would work......not to vape however.

I love your enthusiasm !!! So many things to try. For Dripping: 510 LR atomizer (can use standard but LR is better) and/or 306 LR or standard + a drip tip + your KGO and you will be set on the dripping front. However, If you get the 306 you will need a 306 drip tip for it...some come with it and some don't, so make sure to check. and read this thread....

ROFL..... :wine: -
I have been dripping for the last couple years...took me a while to get the hang of not leaking all over, but due to the nature of the 306, it does leak a bit more and the drip shield is looking good...then again, I mostly drip at home, so not such a huge issue. I just like new stuff,...

Ya, when I cut my nic level to below 16...I really start to chain vape...for me its chasing the throat hit. I figure I'm good at 18mg. I can live with the extra chemicals in my system...I figure its better than upping my antidepressant dose. Don't plan on giving up coffee either. I know for a fact I would still be smoking, 18mg nic is a small price to pay from what I used to put into my body. Vaping makes me happy !! + = Happier husband -
That sounds like a lot of parts. The one from empire mods is the drip shield (510) and an extended drip tip for the 306

our systems are very adaptable...usually don't miss it much until you happen to taste test and then its AAAHHHHH.... -
Yup, I would go with Ego, KGO or Riva (all the same type, just different makers). Sold by many vendors. The Ego has been around a while and the battery life has been tested, good long battery life. The Ego Vision clearomizer are very easy to use and hold 1.6mls of liquid, very easy to refill. The advantage to the Ego, KGO or Riva is the 510 threading....many options for atomizers, cartomizers, clearomizers. Unfortunately so much of this is personal preference. If you really, really, really need something that looks like a cigarette...that would be the 510 pen style, however the battery life is pretty short. only a couple hours. The ego type batteries will give you any where from 6-8 hrs (650 mah) to 12+ hrs (1000+ mah)

exactly !!! Diy can be as easy as adding a bit of extra flavor to change up a premixed flavor. or change a flavor you don't really care for.
-
VT Apple Dapple is pretty close, definite apple jolly rancher taste to it....not quite as strong but close. I added a bit of Lorann Pear flavoring to it and it tasted even closer to apple jolly rancher.
-
dang...so sad. oh well, will probably buy anyway. The drip shield for the 306 will be very nice.
-
Then you are the right person for DIY !!! Not sure if you have looked at this thread....one I put together to help people get started with DIY. The last post has a couple new DIY vendors that are really good. I started getting into DIY because I am flavor challenged and just can't really taste the liquids....but, I can taste food fine. I do like strong flavors.

Update: Just want to add a couple newer vendors that have a very nice selection and great service. http://www.ecigexpress.com/ http://www.onestopdiyshop.com/products/The-Flavor-Apprentice-Professional-Flavors.html Merry Mixing

What coupon????? Now I want one..... I really, really need to quit buying stuff......but, coupons are good....Maybe just this last thing. I love my 306's, and a drip shield would be very good. does leak a bit, but I love the throat hit and flavor !!!!

Welcome !!! Sounds like you have received lots of excellent tips and advice. I agree...I think starting with the Ego, KGO or Riva models is a great place to start, you won't be sorry with any of these devices. I have to agree, VG can clog the atomizers quicker..Its just a thicker. some tank systems have a bit of trouble with VG, but a mix of VG/PG works well. Many people only vape VG and are very happy with it. Its all personal preference. You will find you will try different combinations until you find the right one for you. I use my Ego + LR atomizer or LR vision clearomizer 90% of the time and my higher voltage units .

Congrats on making it to 0mg. Personally, I haven't made it lower than 18mg....I just haven't been able to give up the throat hit. Glad you are helping your sister-in-law out ! Ya, the body remembers that rush -
Hey Dejavu. Like Mike said...getting into DIY has its own cost...supplies, flavors, nicotine, PG/VG. In the end it is a bit cheaper, But honestly, You have to like mixing and creating. I have been doing DIY for about 2 years and what I don't spend on premixed liquids, I spend on flavoring and supplies. One way to make you liquids stretch (double): I buy 36 mg premixed flavored liquid. using PG or VG I mix 50% liquid and 50% PG = 18mg. This dilutes the flavor of your premixed flavor, but now you have double the liquid to play with....I will usually add flavoring once I dilute it, or create a new flavor. Mixing from scratch (unflavored nicotine liquid) is a bit harder to create flavors you really like. but, if you like DIY, Its a fun challenge.

Very good point.... I just use mine until I kill it. be very, very careful with cleaning.....was just cleaning of some excess liquid, was leaking a bit...wasnt paying attention and smashed the bridge....killed the atty. Just got a new batch from the forever vapor store, so back in business. currently alternating between my 306 for dripping and my vision clearomizer.....best of both worlds.
