  2. I've had this happen a couple times, unknown cause. For me, I clean out the threads at the battery end and clean out the battery end of the clearomizer. usually after a few draws its seems to be back on track. what voltage are you using on your twist? I have found as the batteries get close to needing charging the clearomizer seems to act 'funny'...stiff draw, or gurgling.
  3. Vaping comes with a pretty big learning curve....half the fun is discovering new stuff to buy !!!
  4. ya, not much changes for me. Ego or Ego type battery with clearomizer, DCT or dripping. still rotate them around. I think clearomizers are the newest thing......
  5. We can use the good publicity. We all know we feel better, buts its good to see some validation. Thanks for the share.
  6. I've always used trustfire and ultrafire and not had any problems. I guess its like brand name vs generic. somethings I prefer brand name.
  7. Welcome !!! sounds like you will fit in very nicely around here. any questions, just ask and somebody will be around with some sort of answer. Lots of animal people around here too.
  8. Hey Blu, Welcome Back !!! Glad your giving things another go. Congrats on getting married and good luck with up coming basic. really glad you came back.
  9. We have a whole DIY section with tons of great info. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/131-diy-%26-e-liquid-forum/ I get mine from these 2 places. I know there are plenty of places that sell unflavored liquids, but these 2 I trust. http://www.ecigexpress.com/ http://www.wordupecig.com/ We keep any posts about higher nicotine liquids to the DIY section. Handling Higher nicotine strengths are more dangerous. It all depends on what you want to do with DIY. Mix from scratch or just play with some existing flavors.
  10. Usually when I am going through that much I have found some small cracks in the plastic at the battery end of the clearo and leaks some (small bits at a time) of the liquid. Other than that, they do use alot of liquid. ....I DIY, so liquid at least is pretty cheap.
  11. For me, I just make sure to snug it down tight and turn the needle tip slowly, I readjust if I notice it slipping and tighten a bit more. seems to work well for me.
  12. you don't need to cover the cartomizer (filter) while the battery is charging. it looks like you have a 2 piece unit-battery + cartomizer (atomizer and cartridge combined). are you only using their prefilled cartomizers or are you using eliquid to refill them? learning to refill them will save you tons of money, plus you can try different strengths and flavors. When you are ready to try something new....Highly recommend the ego batteries 650(smallest)- 1000+ Mah. The higher the Mah the longer the battery will last between charges. I also recommend trying the ego vision clearomizers, very easy to use and refill. http://www.ecigbestsave.com/Joye-eGo-Kit-p/j.htm This site has ego starter kits and the clearomizers. The advantage to making the switch is versatility...the ego batteries are compatible with any 510 products...atomizer, cartomizer, clearomizer and tanks. makes it easier to shop around, most vendors carry these products.
  13. I alternate between the joye or Riva 510 LR and the 306. The 306 does tend to leak more but burns hotter for a better throat hit. with or without the bridge work great for me. after awhile liquid builds up on the bridge, so I remove it after about a week or so. I usually stick to the places I know best. VTs forever vapor shop. stock is sometimes low, but I like to support VT when I can. http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp click the american flag in the corner prior to adding to cart for 20% off. Ego and Riva products. They have been around for a couple years and have been reliable. http://www.ecigexpress.com/ I haven't had any trouble with their products, plus a great place to shop DIY.
  14. The more we tell ourselves we can't have something, the more we want it...... you will quit when the time is right. currently you smoke less than you did before...thats an acheivement in itself.
  15. Thats why I love my clearomizers and dripping, along with the DCT's. each one offers something different, plus the ability to rotate flavors.
  16. glad you gave them a try, They really do work well. I still alternate between my vision clearo, tank and dripping. I just use my tank cartomizer until the draw gets too stiff and then change out. I even learned how to punch my own cartos too....If I can do it, anybody can. I've really had very little problems the the DCT's
  17. Welcome !! Lots of different changes come from quitting smoking and beginning vaping. both symptoms are pretty normal. LIke mike said, drink or sip more water, juice, whatever. The loose stools can be from the PG or VG in the e-liquid or a side affect of not smoking. I think most of us vape all day long. When you go out to smoke you smoke the whole cigarette--how ever many drags that may be. with vaping you take a drag intermittently all day. How much did you smoke?
  18. Sorry you have been having so much trouble quitting. I wish I could tell you there is some magic answer. What nicotine strength do you use? Cigarettes have so many chemicals in them that keep us addicted and vaping liquid is devoid of all those chemicals. For me, I would just vape until the craving subsided...eventually the cravings just went away.
  19. hang in there. Honestly, if you need a smoke....smoke. Let things take a natural course. If you fight the urge to smoke too hard, the craving just gets stronger. Let vaping gradually take over smoking if thats what you need.
  20. Canker sores run in our family. Colgate and orajel make a mouthwash for mouth sores, contains hydrogen peroxide. Great for helping get rid of those sores.
  21. Welcome. All are welcome. Glad to have you with us.
  22. Welcome to the wonderful, confusing world of vaping. It really is a great alternative to smoking....You won't be sorry. Like Jeff Said!! Thats a great starter kit and a great price. The clearomizers are so easy to use. I promise, being overwhelmed has nothing to do with age....Its just way too much for the brain to handle. Backups are always good....extra charger, batteries, clearomizers (or cartomizer, atomizers, tanks), plenty of liquid. For my supplies I use: http://www.forevervapor.com/ http://www.ecigexpress.com/ http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp (click the flag in the left corner prior to adding things to basket for 20%off) Once you get started, things start to make more sense(eventually)
  23. Very Nice !!! Might have to put that one on my wish list. Nice Review. I love vaping toys......I can't believe I smoke one brand of cigarettes for 30 years.....smoking was not only bad for my health, it was really boring !!!
  24. Nice Share. Cisco has some good products. Nice to have somebody to share with....even when they are waving it in your face.
