you will find we all have our preferences on set up, its one of the best parts of vaping....tons of choices. You will probably have to try a few things to find out what works best for you. the stardust/vision clearomizers have worked very well for me, great vapor and throat hit and good flavor. I also use the 3ml DCT (dual coil tanks)...a little more trouble to fill, and best to add an extra hole in the carto. For the best flavor is still dripping. Using VG liquids will clog up the atomizer much faster with dripping. It will also burn out pretty fast if you are chain vaping....the atomizer gets too hot.

The worst part of quitting smoking the old fashioned way is the constant nagging cravings.....even years later. PG liquids are a bit better for throat hit. When I use 0 nic I have a few things I add to my liquids. A couple drops of menthol flavoring can kick things up a bit, without tasting like menthol. I found another additive (flavoring) called flash...just a drop or 2 goes a long way, more can be a bit harsh. But for many, Like Mcquinn, nicotine is off limits (or at least mostly)

You will be just fine. Good advice above. Just relax and enjoy. smoke if you need to smoke, you will find soon enough, you will vape more than you smoke. Finding the right flavors helps and nicotine strength helps. What strength are you using? Hang in there....It really does get easier.

I agree with Mcquin. Ego batteries are very reliable. about the size of a standard sharpie. Lasts much longer between charges than the thin ecigs. The clearomizers are so easy to use, I have had very little trouble with leaking. The second choice is dual coil tanks (DCT)--They are a bit harder to fill, but work great. Sorry, no help with tobacco flavors. Congrats on helping your son !!!! Not sure if it was just a typo.....VG = vapor and sweet, PG= better throat hit, not as sweet. Finding the right flavors is always a challenge !! Tell him to hang in and not give up.

Ya, this really does seem to be a common problem with no absolute answer. Switching flavors doe help....I usually have 4-5 flavors I rotate through. For me the devices seem to make a difference too.... With My Clearomizer....the flavor lasts a bit longer, but by the end of the day it seems to fade quite a bit. I empty the last bit out, give a good few shakes to get our any remaining liquid and refill. My DCT (Dual coil Tank) 3ml....really good for about the first 3 days then the flavors get pretty muted, Throat hit and vapor remain great so keep using it until it dies. Just change the flavor with refills. For the best flavor all the time....Dripping. Still change out the flavors frequently, but it really does work for best flavor.

The higher the Mah the longer the batter will last between charges. That being said, back ups are always good...batterys, atomizer/caromizer/clearomizers, chargers, liquid.

Hey laurel. Very glad you have quit smoking. finding the right set up is really a challenge. Unfortunately the slim pen style batteries will not stand up to heavy vaping. The ego and ego type batteries (like the ones in Brians post) with the clearomizers (again Brians post) are a great setup, cost effective, great colors. The clearomizers are so easy to use and refill. The Ego and ego type batteries are sold at most vaping vendors (lots and lots of selection). The battery (900mah) is about the same size as a standard sharpie. I swear, You get used to the size in no time and it can hold up to heavy vaping.

More than enough to last me awhile. bit more expensive than the tractor supply, but, I really don't need a gallon. Mix some flavors with both the PG and VG, worked great !!

Overall I think of attys as disposable. If they work well for me for at least a week, I'm good with that. sometimes they last longer, sometimes not. I do find if attys stay too hot (chain vaping), their life expectancy is shortened. I figure Its still cheaper than smoking

When I first started DIY, I just add flavoring to premixed liquids to 'fix' Them. It grows from there. as far as adding VG, It really is to taste (or vapor). The best way to experiment is to use some small 3ml bottles and experiment with it until you find what you like best.

No clue what watts I use, just know that I have my setups that work best for me. and certain flavors work better with certain devices. not all in your head.
