Need Help Choosing An E-Cig - Not Mixing My Own
kitsune replied to JQueen21's topic in New Vapers Forum
I gets much easier, I promise !!! having so many options available is a good thing and a bad thing. you've found a setup you like, thats 1/2 the battle. Granted you will find more devices you like, but so long as you have one....you can work on flavors. The clearomizers are really so easy to use and such a great place to start. -
Its good to cut the 100mg/ml liquids down for saftey. at 100mg/ml its lethal. Its easiest to cut it down to double the nic strength your normally vape. for me I cut mine to 36mg/ml....I vape at 18-24, makes mixing a bit easier in the long run and a bit less lethal. if you get the 100mg/ml you can get plain VG to dilute with and some 30ml or larger bottles. ecig express has a decent price on VG and PG in liter bottles (17.99)... you can buy it by the gallon for cheaper on other sites, but it would go bad before it could be use. http://www.amazon.com/Glycerin-Vegetable-Kosher-USP-Quart/dp/B004C7MTLA This is a quart of VG for 11 and change. you want to stick with USP (pharmaceutical grade) if you can. Do you have access to android....found a great app eliquid recipe manager. Great for calculating strength and multiple flavorings.

Need Help Choosing An E-Cig - Not Mixing My Own
kitsune replied to JQueen21's topic in New Vapers Forum
first....it took a least a month after I quit smoking to be able to properly smell and taste things again. second....you may be one of the flavor challenged. There are many of us that have trouble tasting the flavors. I taste food, etc without any problem. I just can't taste standard liquids very well....this is how I ended up mixing my own or adding flavors to premixed liquids. The best for flavor is still dripping. Then the clearomizers take second place for me. The changeable coil clearomizer is quickly moving up the chain to second place (too soon to tell). http://www.mstsbakery.com/ This site has some great, strong flavors. they are mixed when ordered, so shipping time may take a bit longer. I am glad you are liking the clearomizers....hang in there, finding the right flavors is the second challenge...the first was learning to vape !! -
Welcome Tameiki gave good advice !!! As you continue vaping you will try many variations. The ego batteries are very reliable. The passthroughs can be charged with a mini usb or with a standard ego charger...gives a couple options. with a pass through you don't have to worry about a dead battery....work great in the car too. My preferences are clearomizers, tank with cartomizer, eGo 2.4 ml CC (changable coil) clearomizers (newest love)...I got mine from Veteran vapers http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ego-2-4ml-cc-changeable-coil-clearomizer-clear/ and then of course there is dripping. The best for just starting out is the ego + Clearomizer. The kits offer good prices and give the basics for getting started. Resistance....the lower the number (resistence) the warmer the vapor. For me I prefer the lower Resistance for better throat hit and vapor production. You will want to experiment a bit to find what works best for you. Either way, its not a waste of money, each resistance is a bit different, but very usable. Clear as mud???? keep asking, we will do our best to answer.

Welcome !! Congrats on making the switch. you will find there are many, many options and variations available. VG based liquids can help with the burning. could also be nicotine level. Takes a bit of hit and miss to find what works best for you. Glad to have you with us.
-
I know this seems obvious...make sure mix them in a separate bottle before adding to cartomizer...otherwise wont mix well.

Ya, like they said !!! There is always a time and a place. stealth vaping works well for me at work, airplanes, airports or other areas that are strictly non smoking. Stealth vaping is taking a smaller draw, holding the vapor in for several seconds and exhaling very slowly...no vapor (or very minimal). stealth vaping in restrooms is even easier.
-
LOL.....necessity is the mother of invention. 7 hour flights and I do not get along very well, especially when we throw in a 2-3 hour layover. I was a very die hard smoker and vaping saved my life and the life of all those is my path when I needed a smoke fix..... I am a firm believer in not having clouds of vapor in areas that are strictly non smoking....I never had any desire to miss a flight.....however, I have always been a bit of a rebel and look for ways to break the rules (without getting caught that is..). so far, so good !!!

Stealth vaping (holding for a few seconds and slow exhale) works very well. No vapor at all. I've spent my fair share of time hanging around airports (and on planes) to get very good at it.

Most Disgusting Thing Ever...
kitsune replied to NorthernGirl's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
LOL !!! get my fair share of gross....going to have to pass on a horse butt pimple. But you can bet there will be a few that get curious. -
I go very stealth or restroom. looks like I am chewing on a pen...which is exactly what I used to do when I couldn't smoke. I have been in many airports and not had a single second glance. I agree that clouds of vapor would draw way too much attention in an airport. Most of my flavors are coffee based, I usually have coffee with me, so any residual scent can be blamed on the coffee.
-
as the vapor begins to die off, add 2 more drops...vape and repeat. I usually get 4-6 draws off of 2 drops. More than 2 for me usually results in leaking. There is a bit of a learning curve with dripping, but once you get the hang of it, the flavors are amazing. When changing flavors, I just let the vapor die down and when its time to redrip, I just add the new flavor. first couple hits will be a blend of flavors, but after that you will get the new flavor. You can rinse them out with water and let dry over night. Over time the liquid gunks up the atty a bit. rinsing in hot water and letting sit over night to dry or using the corner of a paper towel or kleenex, push into open end of atty, let sit for a bit....removes excess liquid. can also do this when changing flavors if you don't want the flavors to be mixed.

december or april???? Thats tragic !! -
The variety with vaping is so amazing. kinda hard to believe I smoked the same brand for 30 years. currently, I've lost count of my devices and variations....plus all of my flavors !! Now I will have a new cartomizer to add to my tank collection.

Shopping Spree !!! Thanks to Veteran Vaper Store . Octobers budget spent. eGo 2.4ml CC (changeable coil) Clearomizers eGo CC replacement coils Dual coil XL cartomizers for my Tank 306 extended drip tip empty dropper bottles (30ml and 10ml) dekang coffee liquid Thank You Brian !!! so far loving the eGo changeable coil clearomizer. Love the idea of being able to change the coil. Of course got several for using different flavors. Plus, I really, really, really love plenty of backups -
Very, very nice !!! I still have a soft spot for my tanks. I actually alternate them with my clearomizers. I love variety.
-
What an adventure !!! Overall the dekang flavors are pretty mild (for me anyway), but they really make a good base for mixing. If you need to spice up your vanilla....you can use vanilla extract (french vanilla is good too), add a few drops to your bottle, shake well and vape. There are better brands of flavoring out there (online), but for a quick fix, grocery store flavors can help.

Does The Nicotine Affect The Taste?
kitsune replied to Suzicube's topic in General Vaping Discussion
the nicotine doesn't really affect the flavor. The higher the nicotine the better the throat hit. The lack of throat hit can affect the perception of flavor and feel a bit 'light'. The other option is the liquid itself. different vendors....different flavors, not all flavors are as strong as others. I am fairly flavor challenged, I like stronger flavors....thats why I ended up doing alot of DIY. -
I love haunted houses !!!! Don't even want to know what faces I make........

Very glad you are giving all this a try, you really won't be sorry. The 'Guys' have given you excellent advice. As a fellow girl vaper, you will very soon be on the right track !!! Once you get started, don't stress about smoking. If you need to smoke....smoke. The worst thing we can do to our selves is add any undue stress and anxiety. Let things take their natural course. I was one of the fortunates that was able to quit as soon as I started vaping. Relax, Enjoy, Vape -
Removing the Bridge can lead to a dead atty.....thats why I wait...that way if I kill it, that way, its not a big loss. @Blu .....Thanks. I love this place.
-
For me, bridgeless doesn't really make much difference as far as flavor, vapor, throat hit....but is easier to clean out when trying new flavors. I usually pull the bridge out when the atty seems to be slowing down on performance...usually due to built up gunk on the bridge. Its always worth trying...you never know.... dripping really is its own addiction !!!
