I have some short wick, some long wick....I don't notice much difference between them. I also have the changeable coil clearomizers ...I've had a bit of leaking from the cap on these, but think I've fixed that problem. for me the flavor always dies out pretty quickly on any cartomizer or clearomizer....vaping any flavor for too long results in a lack of flavor for me. I change flavors often...usually have 3 devices in use with different flavors. direct dripping rules !!!

I also use the veteran vapor ones, and not had any flavor problems. Not sure if you are using the same kind...... Then again, maybe your taste buds can tell a difference.

The biggest problem you will have with the 'cigarette' style batteries will be battery life. The charge usually only holds for about 4 hours on a new battery and quickly dwindles to about 2 hours. any '510' battery should be the slim style. 510 used to be used for both the battery and the atomizer. could use cartomizers with it. http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=33 http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=7

They fit the eGo style batteries. Won't work well with the 510 batteries. Honestly, the ego batteries(900mah) are the same size as a standard sharpie, you get used to it quick. The battery life is all day.

like Mcquinn.....hate the smell of old smoke and reek, but I really do like the smell of a freshly lit cigarette. doen't make me want one, just like the smell....then again, I like the smell of gasoline fumes too.....might explain the brain damage !

The pin will occasionally get pushed out of place. also, I use a bit rubbing alcohol and a q-tip to clean the charger threads and the batter threads (inside and out). I keep a few extra chargers around just in case....backups, backups, backups.

VG liquids will also give you better vapor volume. Like Mcquinn said, keep it simple at first. we all have our own prsonal preferences when it comes to our favorite set ups. we all just ended up trying various combinations until we found what works best for us. Personally, I love the clearomizers. so eazy to use. 70%PG/30% VG would give you tons of vapor. keep in mind back ups are good....batteries, charger, atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizers, liquid.

We have all been there to one degree or another. I felt like my head was stuffed with clouds for about 2 weeks, week 3 still a bit tired, but getting better. For me, at least vaping took away the pacifier effect of smoking and curbed quite a bit of the craving....what was left was all the other crap leaving my system. Honestly, I never thought I would quit smoking pack and 1/2 for 30 years....If I can do it, anybody can do it....and I really, really have very little willpower !

Mixing is only as complicated as you want it to be. Yes, it really can be just as easy as adding flavoring to the premixed flavors you already have. adding flavoring will dilute the nicotine level, so depending on how much flavoring you use determines your end nicotine mg/ml. or as complicated as mixing from scratch. You can get a few flavors you really like, some 3ml bottles for mixing. add the e-liquid and then add some flavoring....vape, add a bit more flavoring if needed. this will give you some of the basics. I currently get most of my DIY supplies, flavors, nicotine etc from http://www.ecigexpress.com/. personally, mixing is what made vaping significantly more pleasant.

time to look into DIY...adding flavoring changed everything for me. Its really pretty east.

couple 3 ml bottles good for mixing small amounts until you find a mix you like enough to make in a larger batch. forgot to add Flavor west: sugar cookie and chocolate mint. chocolate mint mixes really well with the coffee espresso. sounds like you will have a good start. PM sent. Just remember to start mixing with small amounts...and add flavoring a little at a time, taste and add if you need more. also remember to keep track of your recipes......

I am mostly a PG base person. It really is personal preference. Poppa was the the VG base mixer. I only use a bit of VG in my mixes to add a little extra vapor. I like the throat hit of PG better. with VG the flavors get a bit muted (can always add more flavor), VG has the added advantage of being slightly sweet. For flavorings good to have on hand Marshmallow (very good sweetener). I love the caramel flavors too. These are my favorite flavors: caramel, Tiramisu (Flavour Art), Coffee espresso (Flavour Art), butterscotch (PA or flavor west), cinnamon, menthol (used very sparingly-1-2 drops) helps add a little kick to the flavor without tasting like menthol. I have both VG and PG on hand for mixing. I have a tendency to use more PG, but do use the VG now and Again. I use the earlier model of the lava tube and have been very happy with it. haven't heard of any safety issues.
