  1. oooooh...those are pretty slick looking. Ya, I have the same trouble with all the new stuff. I can't keep up. I like having a place to look at new or newer items !! Thanks to both you and chris !
  2. You can use any brand of liquid, thats one of the best parts....so many great choices. sweet vapes has some great flavors to choose from. PG liquids...thinner, better throat hit, better flavor VG liquids...thicker, more vapor, bit sweeter Most people go for some combination of PG and VG. For me personally, I like PG 80% and VG 20%....best of both worlds. bombard away, your questions can help others getting started. We are here to help !!
  3. I hate those days !!! currently I have 5 different set ups. so far...when one or more decides to give me trouble I have been able to get at least one to work right. On the good days, all 5 work perfectly. ego + vision (long wick) clearomizer ego + DCT (3ml) Lava tube + DCT (3ml) ego + 2.4ml Changable coil clearomizer ego + 306 or 510 + drip tip If all that fails, I have my 5V passthrough in my truck No failed days for a long time. Hang in there !!! keep vaping !!! Happy Halloween
  4. Glad the generator came in handy !!! How you guys doing???
  5. Welcome !!! sounds like you are off to a good start. You have a good setup to get you started with vaping. as you have already found out....there are tons of toys and flavors just waiting to be bought. 20mls probably wont last more than a couple of weeks. backups are always good....batteries, charger, atomizer/cartomizer/clearomizers, liquid. Check out Clearomizers.....the vision line of clearomizers are so easy to use and work great. http://www.ecigexpress.com/atomizer-cartomizer-cartridges-cartomizers-c-111_113/vision-2-0-ego-clearomizer-1-6ml-ce4-p-1747 http://www.sweet-vapes.com/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=vmj_color_plus.tpl&product_id=1156&category_id=39&vmcchk=1&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=84
  6. Congrats Jeff !!! a few of us are getting up there...can't believe we get to measure not smoking in years, not just the days or weeks. Nana, I'm glad you are still around. I've really missed you !!!!!
  7. A "Mod" was any alteration to the vaping set up (back in the day when we only had the 510 and 901) or make your own (i.e. box mod). so, I guess if you look at the original definition of a 'Mod'......never mind....its making my head hurt. By the original definition, everything I own is a 'Mod'.....
  8. Welcome !! Ya, Colorado is nice, but Hawaii is nicer... (except for the whole Tsunami thing....)
  9. Glad you got that part straightened out. We all have our fair share of those moments !!! Welcome to vaping.....lots of learning curves. Lots of toys out there to buy too !
  10. Hey Tam !! if you go 306 and drip shield, don't forget the XL drip tip. Standard 306 drip tips (or 510 drip tips) won't work with the shield. Personally, When My atties start to leak......I just take the atty off, wipe down the battery and atty threads with a kleenex or towel, use a corner of the kleenex, push into the open end of the atty (gently)..just a few seconds will absorb excess liquid. all told only takes about 30 seconds. dripping is generally a leaky business, its why I only drip while I am sitting around. Good luck on your quest.....if you find the right set up, let me know !!!!
  11. Thanks for the Share DarkAngel !!! Butterscotch espresso 24mg (inspired by tagsanstuff) 5ml PG 48mg/ml nicotine base 1ml VG 3ml butterscotch (flavor west) .5ml coffee espresso (Flavour Art) 1ml Caramel (Flavor West) .2ml Hazelnut(Flavour Art)
  12. mine is the same one you linked to , just the 3ml size.
  13. Welcome back !!! Glad you are giving things another try. Life does have a way of derailing things now and again. sorry, Haven't tried Velvet vapers.
  14. I have had a couple of duds. you can run it by the vendor you bought them from....sounds like they are out of warranty however. For the most part they really do work great, unfortunately occasionally a dud falls through. The knock offs seem to have more duds than the Vision clearomizers. Sorry they both failed you. usually I get at least a couple of weeks before they clog up and don't work as well.
  15. Welcome and congrats on 3 weeks.!!!!
  16. Congrats !!!! Its hard to believe how fast time flies. vaping really is an adventure.
  17. Welcome back !!! I haven't had any trouble with my tanks, even with cinnamon flavors. but apparently cinnamon and menthols can cause cracking, but I think thats mostly with the clearomizers.
  18. Welcome and Congrats!!! I was one of the lucky ones that made the switch and never looked back and was 3.5 years ago. looks like you got some good answers to your questions. as for work....I stealth vape at work. take a smaller draw and hold breath for a few seconds and exhale slowly. Theres always the bathroom. Its not like smoking...theres not much odor, and what odor there is usually confuses people. Soon enough you will be shopping for more toys and more part....backups are always good. and yes, direct dripping is my favorite for flavor.
  19. Oh, you'll be trying the 306 soon enough.....the seed has been planted.....
  20. Ya, Normal. your lungs are going to be busy for a bit. Lots of crud to get rid of !!!! Congrats on quitting
  21. Its amazing how hard it is to be away for a week. Welcome back !
  22. That is well worth a rant !!!! That really sucks.
  23. oops....didn't read the date. Lots of older posts showing up.... should never post before coffee !!!
  24. no help with the 510-510 adapter.....the 306's work on any 510 threaded battery. but to use the drip shield you need the XL (longer) 306 drip tip.
  25. The 306 burns a bit hotter giving a better throat hit and vapor. I still alternate between 306 and 510LR. The difference between the 306 and the 510LR is small. the 306's are also easier to clean as 306 drip tips slide over the entire atty. some places sell the 306 with the drip tip included and some you have to buy it separate. For the 306 drip tips, I prefer the XL(longer) drip tips. with the shorter drip tip, the vapor is almost too warm/hot.
