were you able to try on more than one battery? I have had a couple that after I screwed them on, I had to unscrew them about a 1/4 turn.... But it does sound like you got some duds....it does happen occasionally. I would contact the supplier and let them know, I am certain they would replace them....I know its a pain, but duds sneak through now and again.

You got it !!! Mostly I use the calculator to figure out my nicotine amounts...I use 100mg/ml. The calculator is also more useful for calculating larger amounts (10 or more ml's). When I'm mixing or playing with 3mls or less I just add a few drops at a time to taste. Don't forget to write it down !!!! Trust me...it sucks when you can't remember how much you've added. I then use that to approximate the percentage to put into the calculator for my 30 ml mixes. always experiment with small amounts then calculate to larger. some flavors only take a couple drops (1-2%) some take alot more. When I am playing with multiple flavors I can end up with 20-30%. Welcome to your new addiciton BTW...Thanks for the screenshot instructions...going to give it a try.

Here my personal experience: Vivi nova....soooo easy to use. flavor does die out over time (about 3days-week) for me. changing flavor sometimes helps. next step, take it apart, rinse, refill. last step just replace the head. I tend to replace the head after about a week. Heating over time tends to thicken the liquid and it doesn't wick quite as well as fresh liquid. That is a problem with all except the dual coil tank and dripping. Its just the nature of the liquid. Kanger....sooo easy to use. after a couple of days I end up getting the burnt wick taste....more than likely it doesn't like my stronger flavors...seems to do well with my lighter fruit flavors. Dual Coil Tank....A bit more fuss to fill, but the flavor seems to last longer and more consistent vape...usually end up changing the cartomizer every couple weeks (draw gets tight, filler clogs). The eGo 2.4 ml CC long wick is another clearomizer I like...the only problem I have had it the past is the tip can break away causing it to leak (super glue fixed that). But it is a bit more work and a bit of a learning curve. the 4 I always have on hand are the vivi nova, dual coil tank, eGo CC and dripping. I have a tendency to rotate through them....each one is just a bit different, and each one usually has a different flavor. (except dripping....that is alot different). I still mess with the kanger, because I like variety I guess..... sorry, Long answer.

I have found some of my stronger flavored liquids seem to cause some burnt flavoring after using for a week or so. I've had a few tanks crack or leak....not sure what flavors (if any) caused the problem. crack and leaks seem to be the biggest problem, won't blow up on you or anything dramatic. I still use all my various flavors in my acrylic tanks and take my changes. some flavorings seem to cause the heating element to heat the liquid too much...causing cracks. I have found by rotating between vaping devices (usually have 3 with different flavors) helps prevent over heating.

In addition to math handicapped, I'm phone handicapped.....how about step by step.... with and 18mg base, you will end up with a 12mg liquid....unless you have a stronger base. nicotine base = 18 target nicotine amount = 12 amount to create = 3 amount of flavoring 1 = 10 amount of flavoring 2 = 3 amount of flavoring 3 = 3 amount of flavoring 4 = 3 scroll down to calculate recipe This app bases 1 ml = 20 drops you can use this to mix PG and VG percentages too. usually when I am playing with a new mix or new flavors....I taste test them in pg or vg no nicotine. about 1ml (20 drops), then add 3 drops of flavoring (about 10%) and decide if its too strong or too weak...add if needed. It gives me an idea of what my flavor percentage should be for the calculator.....for future receipes. I used to keep track of these in a small notebook. Not sure if any of this is making any sense.

I agree with Uma....don't know the vendor, but to date the eGo and ego type batteries are very reliable and much better bang.

Welcome !!! looks like you are off to a good start. We've all had our fair share of stripped threads, flooded tanks etc. (still do)...but so much more fun than smoking ever was !!

Mixing is fun !!! its kinda like baking or cooking. I usually have to be in the mood, not have any plans so I can sit and mix, usually while watching a movie. I'm glad your going to give it a go. Lots of trial and error...but along the way you will some great flavors combinations. My staples in my arsenal are: Flavourart Tiramisu, Flavourart Coffee espresso, Flavor west caramel, flavor west candy corn, flavor west mint chocolate, flavor west butterscotch, flavor west sugar cookie, flavourart menthol (flavor kick), flavourart forest fruit, Lorann watermelon, Lorann champagne (goes with almost everything), Lorann Mango(new addition), flavour art cinnamon. Mind you I have many more flavors, but the ones listed above are the ones I use the most often. You will find your favorites. shout if you get stuck. BTW....do you have an android phone? if so the eliquid recipe manager is great !! @Mike...Yum !!! going to try that one.

Yup....good to go. I mix various flavors and various PG/VG ratios without difficulty.

Some get dry mouth (from the PG), initial canker sores...combination dry mouth, quitting smoking. to the best of my knowledge most people tolerate vaping very well. some do cough with PG based liquids or certain flavors. Many of the side effects are related to quitting smoking, it takes a while for your body to adjust. Inhaling anything into your lungs is not good for you....but its certainly better than cigarettes I have been vaping for almost 4 years, so far, so good. I feel soooooo much better than I did when I was smoking !!

With what you have listed....Grape + Marshmallow. If you go shopping , I like Lorann champagne flavor with grape and the flavourart forest fruit..... Banana cream and liquid amber sounds intriguing...you will have to post what you mix, let us know what works. You know me, I love mixing !!!!

I am glad you have found your way to vaping. I personally feel so much better after 30 years of smoking and making the change to vaping almost 4 years ago. Like you, I loved smoking....not the stink. currently, I could never imagine going back to smoking.

trust me, we all have them. I use a saddlevalve hole punch. can buy at any hardware store. I punch the hole opposite of the one that is placed by the manufacturer. It does help the liquid wick a bit better.
