  1. never tried the turkish...I mostly used the Marlboro (or whatever its called these days). I don't use much tobacco flavors anymore, replaced by coffee flavors. I used to find the dekang liquids to be a cleaner taste. I hope the dekang works for you, can't beat the price either.
  2. ya, same thing. The wicks are added to the heating coil to allow liquid to wick to the heating element. mine usually last me a couple weeks give or take, sometimes 3. For 3.00....its about the 1/3 of the cost of a pack cigarettes, I figure for that price, I just change the coil when the vapor falls off or the flavor seems to get a bit of a burnt flavor. even if I changed them every week, its still sooooooo much cheaper than smoking.
  3. Dekang liquids have been around since I started 4 years ago. They are good liquids, just a bit light on the flavor. I used to use them all the time for mixing my own liquids. Their menthol is pretty good. I used to love the tobacco flavor and the coffee flavor, plus many others. Honestly other than light on flavor, There is nothing wrong with the dekang liquids. In many cases they are actually better for your heating elements and tanks because they lack all the additional flavorings added to liquids these days.
  4. The heating elements are the coils for the vivi nova or atomizers, cartomizers etc. Once you have been stuck with equipment that decides to stop working for what ever reason....backups are good !!
  5. sorry, don't know the brand. but if its working for you, then all is good. Glad you have found vaping !! little bit pricey....not horrendous. There are plenty of good products out there, you will soon enough have a collection of various devices and parts. !!
  6. Welcome and glad you have found us !!!
  7. Getting started is always Hard. The Ego Twist is a great unit and you can adjust the voltage on the battery which you can adjust to your own preference. (easy to use). http://www.vaportalkstore.com/adjustable-voltage/ Highly recommend the vivi nova http://www.vaportalkstore.com/vivi-nova/ also very easy to use. The combination makes for a great place to start. I am also a firm believer in back ups....batteries (standard ego batteries are cheaper and make great backups), liquid, chargers, tank + extra heating elements)
  8. personally I haven't found one that worked for me. But, if you are willing...... VT Macchiato + 5 drops of flavourart coffee espresso + 10 drops of caramel = Yummy. can adjust the flavoring for taste. the VT Macciato makes a very nice base. http://www.ecigexpress.com/coffee-espresso-by-flavourart-select-size-578.html http://www.ecigexpress.com/caramel-candy-by-flavor-west-1428.html Sorry, other than that, no help !!
  9. No Worries....thats why we are all here, to learn and help each other. I don't usually take them out to clean them, unless I feel like its getting clogged. (poor vapor). The replacement wicks are not very expensive, when they stop working the way I want them to...amount of vapor and flavor...I put in a new heating element. The long wicks are to help wick the liquid to the heating element which is located at the mouth piece end of the tank, as the liquid level drops in the tank, the longer wicks stay in contact with liquid. . Personally, I don't notice any difference between short or long. no matter which length its a matter of making sure the wicks are wet before vaping.
  10. Just water. I rinse the parts with warm water. set the heating element aside to dry. Its ok to shake off any excess water.
  11. Sounds like you are off to a very good start !!! I am sure there will be many more additions to your collection in the very near future.
  12. Welcome !! you can add VG to any of your liquids...just keep in mind that by adding VG you will decrease your nicotine level and possibly the flavor, depending on how much you add. The DIY subform has tons of mixing information.
  13. you won't notice much difference between the 2.8 and the 2.4. The lower the number the warmer the vapour
  14. Its one of the many advantages to the vivi nova. Happy Vaping
  15. An atomizer is a heating element that attaches to the battery. The cartridge is filled with filler, the liquid is added to the filler...attached to the atomizer, the atomizer then heats the liquid and produces vapour. Atomizer and cartridge system has never worked well. These days the atomizer is used best for dripping (a whole different process). The cone will fit over the atomizer/cartridge or a cartomizer. Personally I recommend the vivi nova on an ego battery. very easy to use and works very well....no cone needed. The vivi Nova--fill, screw onto ego battery and vape...its that easy. If you go this route, I suggest buying extra coils. http://www.vaportalkstore.com/viva-nova-starter-tank/ http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ this one is from the vapor talk store....great service and product, fast too. I also like http://www.theveteranvaper.com/ .
  16. LIke Jeff said.....Mixing similar flavors works well, However, Its easy enough to use a new coil for a new flavor if the flavors are not compatible. I just rinse the coil, set to dry and put aside until needed again.
  17. Congrats !!! Very glad you found a place to get you hooked up. Its very nice to have a shop close !! ego twist and vivi nova is a great combination.
  18. you tube is a wonderful tool !!
  19. @ mustangmom...no worries. lots of learning curves. It usually takes me a couple tries with new devices to get things right or figure out the quirks. I like my T3's, they usually taste strange when its time to change the coil. @Tam...I don't know that I have seen them in bridgeless, if you don't find them, give me a shout and I can walk you through removing the bridge, it really is easy. I haven't broken one yet.
  20. @ Tam....the 306 is 510 threaded...works on all my various devices....ego included. @ 00mustangmom....Like Tameiki said. sometimes I get a burnt taste just before its time to change, but basically when it stops working the way it should, its time for a change.
  21. Unless you are like me....I am flavor challenged. I have always had a very hard time with flavors being too weak. Mind you, I can taste food etc without any problem. I got into the world of mixing my own because I like strong flavors and they can be hard to come by out in the vaping world. cinnamon is a nice strong one. But I haven't noticed a big problem switching flavors after cinnamon...so long as its one of my mixes.
  22. Hey Tam For me, I almost always use the 306 atomizers. http://www.theveteranvaper.com/joye-lr-306-atomizer/ I know these aren't bridgeless, but the bridge is very, very easy to remove on the 306. I remove the bridge before I use. With out the casing of the 510 atomizers..the bridge is exposed and simple to remove. For the 306 you will also need the 306 drip tip http://www.theveteranvaper.com/306-extended-delrin-drip-tip/ ...I prefer the XL tip. (in case you didn't notice....I like Brians store) For me, I like the throat hit and vapor. The 306 isn't really much different than the 510 LR, I just like that its easy to pull off the drip tip to clean when I am testing flavors. as far as why they are more.....not a clue ,
  23. LOL...Thats one way to look at it. I figure If it works, I can live with that. Plus.....its a new gadget @ Tam.....Off topic I Got the Q2, 2nd from left. I usually get them from ecig express, but who doesn't need extra girly batteries.
