  1. Welcome !!! glad you found us. Ya, vaping really is an amazing adventure.
  2. Ya, I agree with mike....when I am mixing apple pie, I add a bit of graham cracker to the mix....not perfect but close.
  3. I was thinking graham cracker and marshmallow....
  4. I'm not at all sure about that Tam !! Mostly trial and error. The flavorings used are really just food flavoring and are designed to be used in foods, candies, cakes etc. Most flavorings you can buy directly from the source for much cheaper....flavorwest, perfumers apprentice, Loranne and flavourart are the ones I use the most. Flavourart is in italy...shipping is hugely expensive. I do try to avoid the darker colors (just a thing for me), don't know that they are bad....I just like to be able to see through my flavoring. The original liquids were pretty clear...then people like me came along and wanted more flavor......
  5. An atomizer is just the heating element. Atomizers are primarily used (these days) for dripping, the atomizer and cartridge system never worked very well. Battery + atomizer + cartridge = 3 piece design cartomizers (cartos) ...you fill with your liquid, attach to battery and vape. personally, cartomizers are more work than the vivi nova or other tank systems. The cartomizers are the heating element + filler combined into one piece....Battery+cartomizer = 2 piece design The vivi nova and other tank systems come in various sizes. I prefer the 2ml designs, they fit very nicely on the ego and ego style batteries. The Ego cc (changeable coil) 2.4ml, EVOD BCC(Bottom coil changeable) 1.6ml.........These also go very well with Ego battery.
  6. Great article and some amazing mods !!! Ya, gotta say, the steam punk look is very intriguing. Yes, we really are a great new sub culture
  7. It is so incredibly hard to believe it has been 4 years since I found ecigs and stopped smoking. I was one of the lucky ones, I got my first 510 on May 21st 2009 and had my last cigarette on May 22nd 2009. When I found vaping, I had 100% quit quitting. I tried ecigs to get my mother off my back....that was that. So much has changed in the last 4 years. When I started, we only had a couple choices...510 or 901....black or white. we only had traditional cartridges. we only had a few vendors to choose from in the US, everything else was in china. I also discovered the world of forums (I had never even read a forum). Vapor talks and all the amazing people here are a big part of my journey. Thank you Chris for providing such an amazing place for information, support and friendship And a huge thanks to all the veteran Vaper Talk friends that have been such an incredible support and source of laughter
  8. Welcome !!! very glad you found us
  9. Like all things in like, there may or may not be unknown risks. Inhaling anything or putting any type of chemicals into your body is never 100% safe. With vaping, it is still new enough to not know all the possiblities. Personally, its significantly safer than smoking. when you consider all the chemicals in cigarettes as compared to those found in vaping....hands down vaping wins. I know for a fact, that I feel better than I ever did when I was smoking.
  10. Welcome !!! very glad you found us. Tons of info.
  11. Lifetime vaper....I have no doubt without vaping I would still be smoking.
  12. Congrats !!! you will find tons of info and support here. unfortunately, you will also see tons of new toys and gadgets that make vaping even better.
  13. Great post !!! Thanks for the share
  14. Welcome and Congrats !!!! Very glad you found us
  15. LOL, sorry about that Tam....should have warned you. I had the exact same problem, can't believe I didn't think to let you in on the secret. How are you liking it now that you have figured out its secret?
  16. any cool dry place will work. I keep some of mine in the refrigerator but I don't have any young children or others that may get into it. Nicotine is dangerous if accidentally ingested (yes it has happened-not to me however). heat is hard on batteries and liquid, if you do have to keep it in your car, a cooler might help.
  17. We all have a few typos....at least it was legible.
  18. Congrats Tam !!!!! It is so amazing to be a non-smoker. vaping really is its own little world
  19. LOL !!! 306 (which is 510 threaded) with an XL drip tip. veteran vaper of course!
  20. If I absolutely had to pick, I would go with the vivi Nova, but its almost too close to call. I've cracked a couple of the tanks at the threads on the vivi nova. The ego cc is great for my fruit flavors...was getting burnt taste with my coffee flavors, but the mouth piece has a tendency to come loose (super glue fixes that). Intermittent burnt hits with the evod, but over all I like it too. I can never just settle on one...I tend to rotate through them.
  21. Not familiar with the elea or exactly what type of tank system they use. It does sound like its the system if the liquid work well with a different unit. Not much help, except to say, maybe a different tank system would be better, but I'm not at all sure what is compatible with that type of e-cig.
  22. I bounce back and forth between dual coil tanks and clearomizers (vivi nova, evod, ego cc). I vape at 3.7v - 4.8v. Some liquids are stronger or weaker in various devices at different voltage. Lots of trial and error.
  23. I've only ordered from them once, great service, prices and fast. very impressed. Thanks for sharing
  24. You will find a variety of opinions, for me I like them all. each one is slightly different, couldn't tell you exactly what is different. All of mine give me excellent vapor, flavor and throat hit. I use: Vivi nova tank (1.8 resistance is my preference), DCT-Dual coil tank, cartomoizer and tank system(more complicated, but still use it), Evod BCC, ego CC clearomizer (works best with my fruit flavors) But my all time sweet spot, even 4 years and may gadgets later.....is dripping.
