  1. had a cart filler epiphany: in cleaning out my closets today I came across a pack of vent filters. These are thin sheets of poly type material. some vapers prefer the cart filler that is fan folded--this stuff can be fan folded about 4 folds. I'm trying it in a couple carts--working great so far. http://www.webproducts.com/Detail.bok?no=31 the material and consistency is much like Fluval-- here's my second thought--the sheets of fluval 2 plus can be pulled apart into thinner sheets that can be folded...haven't tried it yet. If the Fluval 2 plus can't be found--I got the vent filters at our local wal-mart. I would imagine any place that sold heater filters would also have vent filters... Just a thought. Happy Vaping Lisa
  2. OOOOOOH---very, very nice !!!! that is some serious battery life...
  3. The flavor combinations are endless. I'm working on a tropical blend using Flavour Art--pineapple, coconut, banana and cherry--still need to tweak it a bit, but turning out very, very tasty.
  4. LOL !!!! I really, really love this forum...
  5. Congratulations !!!!! That is enough money for a decent vacation.... One of these days I will have to sit down and figure out how much I have saved--those first few months were a bit brutal on the budge.
  6. LOL--gotta love vaping !!! I always keep spare parts handy...Just in case
  7. No longer putting new burn holes in the seats of my Jeep, couch, carpet, counter tops, clothes.... Never actually caught anything on fire....some nice burn holes in things however(with cigs not e-cigs).
  8. Hey Angel--I think the headaches can come in two part. for me anyway--I always get raging headaches for a couple weeks when I quit smoking--this time was no different. I also felt really, really tired. I should own stock in excedrine--not sure if you know the difference between them but--the 'tension'headache (red)-only has tylenol and caffeine, the green bottle-has asprin, tylenol, caffeine--works best for headaches if you can tolerate asprin. the second part is over vaping which can also cause headaches--I find the over vaping headache was not as bad as the withdrawl headache... I do find my mouth/throat dries out more frequently--been chewing alot more gum...
  9. Now your getting the hang of it !!! if you use a toothpick or tweezers you can 'fluff' up the cart filler. once you get your liquids--I find I don't even bother changing the filler when changing flavors--so long as the flavors are mostly compatible--tobacco flavors go with everything. Just 'fluff' the cart filler and add a few drops to the top of the filler. dripping really gives you the most consistent vapor/flavor.
  10. sorry no help here--I'm sure one of the techno people will have an answer. glad you have your spade--have you contacted Janty??
  11. More than happy to help. Just noticed you are from colorado--what part?? Just being nosey...
  12. You'll get the hang of it. If you run across a word or abbrev you don't know--just ask--we really do have our own language.
  13. Unfortunately I don't have a good answer for you. I do know that since I started vaping the atty's have improved, technology is starting to catch up. not sure it's worth that much though. All my 510 atty's have a gold band, and some do get hotter than others....
  14. The Learning curve has begun... with my 510--I add 1-2 drops to the atty and 1-2 drops to a filled cart--You will know it is time when the vapor begins to drop off or you begin to get a bit of metallic taste. It really does vary from person to person--depending on the length of draw and how frequent you draw. Practice will make perfect !!! filling an empty cart should take about 10-12 drops. Just make sure to allow time to absorb. if you move the filler to the side and add to the bottom of the cart first, you will get a better fill. Questions?? Just ask--everybody loves to help. We all want you to succeed.
  15. I remember when I was young--my dad bending over the gas stove top to light a smoke and whoooosh--no eyebrows.
  16. LOL--Thank God for the PCC back up, and the back ups for my back ups. The only thing I never lose is my VP-PT--always plugged in right where I left it and always have an extra liquid stashed.
  17. I can't believe I have already forgotten about the lighter hunt !!!! have gone so far as to use the toaster coils.
  18. Warning !!!! This Post may Ramble--feeling a bit nostalgic... In 3 days I will have been vaping for 8 months (and not smoking). I have been thinking about the time spent on vaping vs when I smoked. (Forum time not included) When I smoked: average time to smoke a cigarette 5 minutes (or so) times 30 = 150 minutes/day spent just smoking. When at work-- going out to smoke every 3-4 times/shift, 2 cigarettes, 15 minutes--12 hour shift = 45 minutes - 1hr, smoking and travel/walking time. plus time spent trying to keep out of the smoke so as not to smell too strongly. Then add an extra 5 minutes each smoke before and after work-another 20 minutes or so--at home--another 60 or so minutes. When I am working--I am looking at about 180 minutes/day. Thats an awful lot of minutes per day Just smoking. Thats not including the time spent waiting and thinking about having a cigarette. Then getting to a smoking area etc, etc. Vaping: Mind you this will be a little harder to break down as the routine is significantly different and more fragmented. *Research, shopping and ordering--lets say if I were to give it a daily number--10 min/day. *Getting supplies--batteries, atts, PCC, liquid for when I am going to be out for the day or working-- 10 minutes/day *charging batts and organizing things at the end of the day--15 minutes/day *Vaping is a more continuous day long thing-and since I can essentially vape as I go its very hard to give the actually vaping a time. * Dripping, Topping, cart maintenance, switching batteries--20 minutes/day * So lets go with 60-80 min/day for basic vaping Just between basic vaping and not smoking I figure I am saving about 90 - 100 minutes/day I realize this does not include my time playing with new toys, trouble shooting, mixing and playing with new flavors. If I were to include those items--Lets say an hour/day--I am still saving 30-40 minutes/day. (sorry if any of my math is off--I blame sleep deprivation) I often hear people commenting on the amount of time or the hassle that are involved with vaping, dripping, topping, filling, stuffing, finding, buying.... However, I figure it is still less hassle and time than when I was smoking. There are definitely more steps involved in vaping--but at almost 8 months in, I have developed a routine and pattern that works for me. None of this includes the savings on future DR. visit for smoking related problem. Dripping/topping through out the day can be a bit of a hassle, but not near the hassle and time wasted looking for and getting to a 'smoking area'. Any way Just a thought...... Anybody thinking about vaping--I would strongly recommend giving it a try. Nothing else has even come close to keeping me away from cigarettes for 8(pain free) months--I can't even imagine going back to smoking for any reason---I really, really like being a non-smoker !!!! Happy Vaping to All Lisa
  19. congratulations!!!!! I think we all have our favorite places I have had good luck with vaprlife and Liberty-Flights...I usually stick to just a couple--I will pay a bit more for knowing the company I am dealing has my back. cheaper is not always better. Liberty-flights has good products and good prices. vaprlife/vapor talk store have the amazing VP-PT--not cheap, but so worth every penny.
  20. I have to agree--I alway go back to fluval--I have tried so many other fillers--and the fluval for me works best. Fluval 2 plus--if you just wander through the aquarium section until you see the fluval boxes--it is possible not all carry it. When you open the box you will know it the right stuff You can just ask where the aquarium filters are... I know--I would rather not order on line when I can buy it locally. keep looking--its out there!!!
  21. I love that story !!!! Thanks for sharing it
  22. OH NO--IT geeks everywhere !!!!! Congrats on your job as well---work/money is good.
  23. The Moral of the story---always make sure your soup is sealed tightly in the container and wrapped in its very own plastic bag !!! not sure I want to try vaping soup of any kind--especially if it tastes like old wet socks !!!!! New wet socks--Maybe...
  24. I am so glad you finally got the call !!!!! takes a bit of anxiety out of life with the prospects of a paycheck. sounds like a good gig--and you will be plenty busy !!
