sounds pretty normal. Here is my current solution....with or without the wick. Blue Filler 4 days ago I finally got the hang of the blue cart filler from strictly e-juice. fill an empty cart with 10-12 drops of liquid. push the blue foam into the cart to saturate, add a couple more drop to fill the cart with liquid and then pull the blue foam up to the top of the cart (like regular filler). The blue foam acts to keep the liquid from draining out too fast, allows just enough liquid through to keep the atty moist and vapeable. since I started using this--top off less, drip less. e-cig stored LED up or LED down does not seem to make a difference. significant decrease in leakage and flooding. I still drip in between when I am vaping more frequently--but find with blue filler/liquid in the cart the atty doesn't dry out and I get a consistent vape.

Coming To My Forum Peeps For A Little Help.
kitsune replied to DAYVAPE's topic in General Vaping Discussion
You most definitely have my prayers !!! Sounds like you have the same relationship with your parents, that I have with mine. Both mine are also in their 60's. During the last 2 years My father has been battling lung disease and finally had a lung transplant last year. after 2 years of battling and not being sure if we would be able to keep him with us--he is finally returning to normal (for him anyway). Keep fighting and keep loving him. try to keep him involved with the family, small distractions go a very long way--for the both of you. Like you, I could never Imagine my life without both my parents (I'm 46--and still a mommy and daddy girl). Lots and lots of prayers !!!! keep us updated and if you just need to vent--we are always here. -
I have to agree. This fight belongs to us all. The only hope we have is unity. our community is growing daily, but still need every voice we can muster to fight in the UK and or the US.

I know it has been mentioned before, but vaprlife USB-wall and car adapters work perfect with the VP-PT (5 volt). I am thinking it would work with the 6 volt mods. I'm sure somebody will correct me if I am wrong. I have both adapters and both work great and are very durable. http://www.vaprlife.com/noname.html

Hey Nana--I know !!! This time I think I have finally found 'the' one I can stick with for a while. the best part is--it's sooo easy. let me know what you think. I am going to check petsmart tomorrow to see if they have a similar texture in the fluval line. the blue foam is cut 1cm x1cm and 1/2 cm thick. Then again--with the free shipping--strictly ejuice isn't a bad deal.

Once you survive the learning curve, everything gets easier. Questions? ask, ask, ask. We all want you to succeed. we had those before us to help us along the way. I love my 510. Liquids--my personal favorites are VT store (grape soda) http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp http://shop.rockymountainvapor.com/main.sc all three of these have great prices, 10ml bottles (great for figuring out what flavors you like) and great customer service. Happy Vaping

Hey Guys, I'm just going to throw this out there. leaking and flooding seems to be an ongoing problem for many of us. I drip and/or top carts depending on my mood. 4 days ago I finally got the hang of the blue cart filler from strictly e-juice. fill an empty cart with 10-12 drops of liquid. push the blue foam into the cart to saturate, add a couple more drop to fill the cart with liquid and then pull the blue foam up to the top of the cart (like regular filler). The blue foam acts to keep the liquid from draining out too fast, allows just enough liquid through to keep the atty moist and vapeable. since I started using this--top off less, drip less. e-cig stored LED up or LED down does not seem to make a difference. significant decrease in leakage and flooding. In the last 9+ months I have tried all the tips and tricks and cart most with limited success. this really has worked. Just a thought.... hope you get a solution that works. I hate leaking and flooding. Happy vaping Lisa

I have had very good results with the 510 atty on my VP-PT.--Not 6 volt, but 5 volts I think. so far the current atty I am using has lasted a month. not constant use, but moderate use. not tried any of the other atty's. Happy vaping

You will be very glad when its over. It will be worth it. I take care of lots of knee patients. you will do great!! and just think, you will be able to vape after surgery !!!! (at least once you are concious again)(and can reach your stuff). Just remember to ask for pain meds....and you vaping case.

I love my 510 passthrough(s)--not as much as my VP-PT, but a very close second. I highly recommend getting a USB to car adapter and wall adapter. http://www.walmart.com/ip/3-in-1-Charger-Kit-for-iPod-White/8245871 this one works great with the 510, but not quite strong enough for the VP-PT-- vaprlife carries the USB-car adapter that works with the VP-PT http://www.vaprlife.com/vecilitousbp.html Happy vaping

with the 510 atty's, I find 2-3 drops works well without leaking or flooding. I usually get about 10 or so draws from this. really depends on the length of your draw. I take about 5-8 second draws. Happy vaping

I agree with Dave--some are stronger than others, but overall I really like so many of the flavors. My current favorites from flavourart are forest fruit, tiramisu and apple pie. also really like the pineapple, coconut and grape. peach is good also. I have been very happy with the flavourart flavorings and they are good about disclosing information about their products. almost forgot the watermelon flavor. mmmmm.
-
My problem with mixing is I have a tendency to add a little of this and a little of that and then forget exactly what I added and how much. tried writting it down--many of my mixes change over the period of a few days. LOL--never have the same flavor. Really liking Coffee liquid with flavourart (liberty flights) tiramisu or apple pie flavoring, a bit of Loranne english toffee and a bit of menthol--very nice smooth flavor--sorry can't give measurements--just start with a few drops of flavoring and keep adding until I like the flavor.....

I find I have to order something at the very least, once/month. waiting on an order from the UK. got the Little Gem from Liberty Flights--don't have it at the US site yet. Like you--I am not happy unless I have something coming or have just received something....I need more stuff like I need another hole in my head !!!!

actually I prefer the fluval 2 plus http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2753129 The fluval 2 plus is closer to the consistency of the original cart filler. It is not as fluffy and has less fine hairs floating around. currently trying the blue filler--will probably end up going back to the fluval-- Just make sure you don't pack the filler into the cart too tightly--loose is good and wicks better.

very nice gadget !!! compressed air works as well. Just be careful with either--the pressure can cause the metal bits on the bridge to break off. Had that happen to 3 attys. Now, I just stick to using a papertowel or kleenex pushed into the open end of the atty and let sit for a few minutes or hours or over night (depending on where I am and how badly I need to use the atty).

I haven't solved the need to top off the carts or drip frequently. usually it depends on how frequently I am vaping. when I find I am vaping more often, I will use 2 510's and alternate between them. allows the carts to wick in between hits. It does get a bit easier and faster over time--and less flooding. I do find if i have flooded the atty (510)--instead of using a napkin or what not. If I inhale and exhale through the cart a few times with the manual switch depressed the atty burns off the excess quickly. (not sure if that made sense.)

I usually pull the threads out when they look ratty -- If I can't see them, they don't bother me, but if I can see them, they drive me nuts. I've not had any problems after I remove them. Didn't think about the burned taste--very good point Roor.

This site has some good information on it. http://nic-recipes.wikia.com/wiki/E_Liquid_Recipes_Wiki Loranns is fairly concentrated so start easy. Personally I recommend playing with only a ML at a time. add a couple drops of lorann to about a ML and then add a bit more if you need the flavor stronger. the flavorings are also very nice to add to the premixed liquids.
-
I haven't tried any of the extracts at the grocery store, but I don't see why they wouldn't work. I use either flavourart (Liberty flights) or Loranns. You can usually find Loranns at Walmart in the craft section. Just avoid anything that says oil--want water soluable flavorings.

I have to agree with chris. The VP line is pretty amazing. I love my VP-passthrough, not sure if you are looking at going the PT route or not, but if you do--the VP is perfect, came with 510 adapter, consistent throat hit and vapor. I have had mine since November and it has been perfect !!! Even use it in my Jeep, got the USB/car adapter from the VT store. Happy vaping

Very glad you have your 510 and that you are enjoying it !!! I don't have much to add--those before me about covered things.... as far as nicotine intake--I think we all over did it in the beginning. You will develop a new routine and things will settle down with how much you vape. You can cut the liquid you currently have to decrease the mg/ml if needed. Use PG or VG--can find pharma grade glycerin at most pharmacies. or in the baking areas of any craft store. Happy vaping

Sorry about the PC--I hate viruses. Congrats on making a mod. Personally, I couldn't mod my way out of a cardboard box, but I really appreciate people that can--keeps the vaping community on its toes. always new stuff.

Your Dr. is right--chest pain = ER !!!! no messing around. Avoid caffeine--not good for fast heart rate or palpitations (flutters). Good thing your engine is getting a check up. one thing I know for sure--it's treatable.

I'm sorry Daddo...not going to be much help. have no idea. Have you check the TW forum??? Unfortunately I have been banned over there, so I can't check. I know the topic has been brought up over there before, but for the life of me I can't remember the out come. What tobacco flavors have you tried?? I have use marlboro from several places and like the flavor with that. Might be a bit mild though.....
