Personally the only thing I use is the corner of a papertowel or kleenex, twist and push into the open end of the atty. let sit for 10-15 min to drain any excess liquid on the heating element. no matter which way you clean--remember to reprime the atty with a couple drops before you use again.

I haven't tries the cartos yet, somewhere on my list of things on need to order. Glad things are working so well for you. vaping really is a great adventure. Happy vaping

I originally ordered from Italy, a ways back and the shipping cost was almost more than the product. Time to whisper in Abes ear that it is time to stock the US site. I know Flavour Art has been also experiencing some growing pains. if you remember the other site, let me know. Happy vaping

Ecig Ban Petition "to Sign"
kitsune replied to JamBone's topic in Vaping Legislation & Regulation News
Thanks for posting the petition. signed and forwarded to friends. -
Thanks for that one Dave--some good flavors. I really like the flavour Art from Liberty flights--but many flavors out of stock. Flavour Art flavors are fairly strong, but I will have to give PA a try. I love mixing.

you will love the 510. it has kept me free from cigarettes for 11 months. if you run into questions, just ask. there is a learning curve with e-cigs, but it really is an amazing experience. welcome to the world of vaping !!!

If the wallet allows and you go with one of the 510 kits always look at getting an extra battery and atomizer (total of 3) and of course extra liquid. don't rely on the carts. http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=31 I have had very good luck and prices with Liberty flights http://shop.rockymountainvapor.com/category.sc?categoryId=19 - Rocky Mountain vapor Good prices and service. and most recently added a Nomad to my collection: http://www.azsmokefree.com/home - very fast delivery, good prices and so far good service. There is sooooo much to learn initially. sometimes you just need to jump. There is a learning curve with all e cigs, but it is so worth the time, effort and start up cost. In the end it is much cheaper than smoking. keep asking--we all love to help.

Very glad you are enjoying you tornado. It's great when you find a piece of equipment that makes you want to shout to the world "VAPING IS WONDERFUL" have you tried diluting some of your liquids?? can use PG--I use glycerine from the cake isle at a local craft shop. or you can use VG--I got that at strictly ejuice(they also carry PG)-- https://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=65_57&zenid=vvj4rbi6larla4f23kue3qahd1 The PG and VG do not contain nicotine and are great for decreasing the nicotine strength of premixed. the draw back is it can also decrease the flavor. if you are feeling adventurous--you can add flavoring do boost the flavors or create your own. Personally, I love Flavour Art flavoring-- http://www.liberty-flights.com/product.asp?id=15 (unfortunately the stock is pretty low right now. ) You can also use Lorann flavoring--I found some at walmart, just want to avoid oils. Happy Vaping

Congrats on Day 3. Glad things are a bit better. My only 2 cents-- if the atty gets too hot, it can actually melt the edges of the cart. Check the carts now and again and see if they look melted or uneven. took me a very long time to figure this one out--the taste is horrendous, intermittent and causes my throat to burn. if the atty starts to dry out it also causes the burning sensation. Lots and lots of water (also helps flush all the tobacco chemicals out of your system) Happy Vaping !!!

with all of my 510 carts--I remove the outside bottom piece of the cart. using a paperclip or other small tool--pry open the paper clip, using the end of the paperclip, insert into the small hole on the bottom of the cart and pry off. liquid accumulates in this bottom chamber. I don't even bother putting the bottom cart piece back on--makes it much easier to remove any excess liquid that builds up. avoid over filling the carts and over dripping. Vaping comes with a learning curve !!! Happy vaping

You can take the filler out of the cart- wash- dry and refill the cart with the liquid you have. add a few drops to the empty cart-push the filler back in with tweezers, paper clip, saftey pin, add liquid to the filler one drop at a time until no more will absorb. with the 901-be careful when dripping not to add more than 1-2 drops at a time--floods easily. what are you doing up this late anyway?? definately need to look at getting some good liquid !!!

always good to see a fellow coloradan on here. Welcome !!! personally I prefer the 510 model. For me the throat hit is a bit weaker with the 901, but the 901 is a reliable model. I too was a marlboro smoker and the liquids that are named after tobacco--don't really taste like tobacco. Your best bet will be to get some 5 or 10 ml flavors and start experimenting. For liquids (and parts) I currently use: 1. VT store (click on link at top of page) 2. liberty flights- http://www.liberty-flights.com/products.asp 3. Rocky Mountain Vapor (no longer based in colorado)- http://shop.rockymountainvapor.com/main.sc what strength liquid are you using? possibly look at a higher nic level... I currently use 18mg and use 30-40 mls/month. smoked 1 1/2 packs marlboro lights for 30 years. glad you have found vaping !!!!

Full Body Scanners At Airports...
kitsune replied to Vacker1229's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
LOL--would definitely solves lots of problems. Then I wouldn't have to get undressed just to get through security screening. -
The newness does add to increased vaping. for the first couple weeks, my 510 didn't leave my hand. gradually I was able to put it down for short periods. I still vape more than I smoked--but when I smoked, I would smoke a whole cigarette. with vaping I just take one draw wait a bit and then another and so on. I figured I vape about 1 -1.5 ml of liquid which is 18-27 mg (still less than when I smoked).

Some People Really Love Vaping...
kitsune replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Done in true Mooby Ghost style !!!! -
The 510 batts to get a bit hot after a couple draws and need to cool down a bit in between. sometimes I run two and alternate, when I am vaping alot. What strength are you using?? may need to increase the strength. liquid strength and how much we smoked does not always go hand in hand. definitely need to try some new flavors--alternating really does seem to help. 5 ml sample bottles are great for trying strength and flavor.

The best blue foam I have found is from strictly ejuice. price is right and free shipping. I have been using it for a couple months and I love it. Fluval does make a simalar texture (can't remember which number right now). I have tried so many different mods and this foam works the best. I don't drip or top the carts near as often. I fill the cart with about 12 drops, push the foam into the liquid to saturate, add another drop or two, pull the foam back to the top of the cart and vape. I can usually vape for at least a couple hours on one cart. http://strictlyejuice.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67_49&products_id=222

before you declare it dead or dying, try draining it. use the corner of papertowel or kleenex, push into open end of the atty and let sit for 10-15 min. add a couple drops of liquid to the atty and see if it vapes any better--if not it may well be a dud. I now use a multimeter(if I can do it, anybody can) to double check the voltage if I am not sure. has really helped me determine the viability of some ify atty's. you can contact the company you got it from and see about returning it if it is a dud.
-
Definitely recommend extra batteries, atomizers and liquid. Nothing is worse than being stuck with a dead battery, dead atomizer or not enough liquid. I haven't tried the tornado, but it sounds like a great place to start. I love my 510's--the advantage to the 510 is the PCC (charging case)-that charges while you are out. No matter where you start--there will always be something else that comes along that you just must have. I am glad you and your husband have decided to take the plunge--you won't regret it !!! BTW-welcome
-
getting new flavors is always a treat. I really like the VT grape soda--lots of flavor (even on a 510)--the service is always wonderful !!!
-
I guess in the end, it's not much different than what we do....however, I am not certain it is something I really want my kids doing. Intriguing idea--then again, caffeine pills are so much cheaper. Jury is out on this one....
-
Very glad you have had work come your way, short term or not. I love the short bus--the wheels go 'round and 'round....
-
taste and smell took about a month to really return for me. Its varies widely on the amount of time it takes our bodies to recover. Is your atty working any better?? BTW--congrats on 9 days!!!!

Personally I gave up on all the cleaning of atty's about 6 months ago. every couple days I drain my attys-- using a papertowel or kleenex--just twist a corner and push into the open end of the atty and let drain for a couple hours (amazing how much old liquid is removed) when I am ready to use again--reprime with 3 drops of liquid and vape. This method works great for flooded attys too-just leave the kleenex/papertowel in place for about 5 minutes--reprime and vape. I have only lots 3 atty's in the last 6 months. I am a moderate to heavy vaper. If that fails and I am still not sure if the atty is dead or dying--I use my multimeter. (510 atty's) first set your meter to 200 OHM the touch the red probe to the black probe and you should get a reading of 00.0 if you dont and you get something like 00.2 just subtract the # from the reading you will get from the atty. Ok put the RED probe into the small hole on the battery side and the Black probe into the small hole on the SIDE of the atty or on the thread you should get a reading of 2.2 - 2.9 thats a good strong atty if you get anything above 3.2 send it back..lol the lower the # the better Now the battery is done the same way EXCEPT set the meter 20v in the DCV section RED to the metal (Dent) on the battery or if you have a Mega just put it on the end that connects with the atty and the Black try and put it on the little gold band You will need to have someone hold down the batt switch while testing ..A half charged battery should read 3.6 - 4.2. I know other things can affect voltage--but this at least gives me a baseline to work with. Atty's are considered a disposable item--I figure 1-2 months per atty is pretty good. Just my opinion though. Happy vaping to all
