I never in the last 30 years would figure I could say this: I quit smoking 1 year ago today !!!! I was one of the fortunates that was able to stop smoking the day after I figured out how to make my 510 work. I actually looked into e-cigs as a way to cut back a little, and ended up quitting. I really was a die hard smoker and had no intention to quit--I had for all intents and purposes quit quitting. I started with the 510 (still use the 510). when I started the selection was a bit more limited than it is now. I had the choice of black or white--and the trusted suppliers list was not very long. Since then I have found several great suppliers and products. I love my 510's, Little Gem (UK), VP-PT, Nomad, 510 passthroughs. Thanks to Totally Wicked, Liberty flights, Rocky Mountain Vapor, Vapor Talk, Strictly e-juice and AZsmokefree--Listed in the order of discovery. The Most amazing part of my journey has been the Forums. Vapor talk really is its own addiction. The Members are all amazing!!! This forum has managed to remain friendly, funny and informative and above all else--An incredible vaping community spirit. Thanks to all new and old vapers that have kept me going and never fail to provide a good laugh or useful information. Anybody that is considering vaping---If I can do this, anybody can. My thought is--have you checked the edges of your carts. I notice that when I get the harsh throat burn--the edges of my carts are melting.....it seems to be fairly random for me, but tastes really nasty.

Very well could be that the batteries are dying--how long ago did you get them?? The best thing I invested in and learned to use a multimeter to check the battery voltage (works great for atomizers to)--I know other things can affect voltage reading--but for me it has help me determine dead, dying or some other problem. Using multimeter for 510: here we go..first set your meter to 200 OHM the touch the red probe to the black probe and you should get a reading of 00.0 if you dont and you get something like 00.2 just subtract the # from the reading you will get from the atty. Ok put the RED probe into the small hole on the battery side and the Black probe into the small hole on the SIDE of the atty or on the thread you should get a reading of 2.2 - 2.9 thats a good strong atty if you get anything above 3.2 send it back..lol the lower the # the better Now the battery is done the same way EXCEPT set the meter 20v in the DCV section RED to the metal (Dent) on the battery or if you have a Mega just put it on the end that connects with the atty and the Black try and put it on the little gold band You will need to have someone hold down the batt switch while testing ..A half charged battery should read 3.6 - 4.2 I got a multimeter like this one: http://www.amazon.com/Mastech-DT830B-Palm-Size-Digital-Multimeter/dp/B00066ZZO4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1274551185&sr=8-1 sorry long response !!!

I got my 510 passthrough from AZ and really love it. I just traveled from colorado to arizona using it. the convenience of having a passthrough and being able to disconnect and just use as a 510 was soooo great !!! The service was great and the prices are amazing. Not sure about the battery--essentially the standard passthrough is the same principle, but not detachable. My other 510 passthrough I have had for 4 months without issue. Mostly use my VP-PT at home and the AZ passthrough in my car. I really like this products and company so far !! Happy vaping

Thanks Craig--going on the list to try. When you find the flavour art flavorings, they too add no or little coloring. have always been willing to disclose any information regarding their products. Bickford has some great flavor choices. Merry Mixing !!!

combined some flavors (can't stand just a little in the bottle)--cherry, watermelon, coconut, lemon and a bit of menthol PS--thanks for the review--may have to give that a try

What a novel concept--using candy flavoring for candy. Any flavoring I run across anymore--my first thought is, ' what would that tasted live for vaping?'

I really don't need another PV (and am not posting for it)--I just wanted to say what a great thread !!!! I have been paying forward for a while--Things That I don't use, for friends etc. I love this. I am currently in the process of cleaning out supplies for my niece (currently in college and broke) Happy vaping !!!!

may have to take a look at it. I have used a combination of foam and dripping for months that seems to work for me. with the blue foam--the cart holds so much more liquid and requires very little topping off. If I am vaping more frequently--I drip. still haven't tried the cartos--one of the next things on my list.... (long list)

If her son would be will to learn how to set things up for her, she would be in business no matter which unit she got. if she could afford to have the extra batteries/supplies charging shouldn't be too bad--would just have to base things on time--if I charge the 510 battery it should be done in 1hr....etc. if she could have many extra cartos or prefilled carts for use in between her sons visits... people that ate visually limited, do learn how to do things that work for them !! What a wonderful thing you are doing to help.... I really love the vaping community. If the son has trouble--I would be willing to send her prefilled carts....

I find I alternate between 4-5 flavors. If I use the same one too long, the flavor seems to disappear. currently using a USA mix(marlboro), apple pie (flavourart), coffee and a couple drops of menthol. good vape with my coffee this morning.

The Fluval you got was usable and not too bad--it is fluffier than the fluval 2plus. When I went camping, over all my PCC being charged in the car worked great. I would just charge it while were out driving aroung, usually will recharge about 4 510's before I need to recharge the case. I also have a car adapter that you can plug standard plug equipment into, has a surge protector. works great--I'm pretty sure I got that one a walmart. In a week, with intermittent charging the PCC didn't let me down. happy vaping while camping

Hey Dave, not tried the decadent vapors tiramisu--but knowing Nicks work, it will be very strong. with flavour art I use about 1 ml tiramisu to 5mls of flavor--I like lots and lots of flavor. Most people can get away with about .5ml flavoring and with Decadent Vapors maybe less. adding a bit of coffee and chocolate flavoring to the mix is really great. Happy hunting BTW--Its really hot in Arizona !!!!

I can never leave well enough alone--always have to mix something !!! I do keep a bit of dulcis (unchanged) off to the side.... Currently USA mix, apple pie (flavourart), expresso (flavourart) and just a bit of menthol--very tasty.

I am currently vaping VT Dulcis mixed with a couple drops of FlavourArt Coffee/expresso and a couple drops of FlavourArt Irish cream--very Yummy. It actually has a great rich, creamy taste. A keeper. Happy vaping

The coffee flavors are pretty good, a bit more like coffee flavored candies, but very yummy--especially when mixed with other flavors. I love mixing and matching flavors.... The best part is trying new flavors--the 5-or 10ml sizes are great for trying new stuff. Happy vaping
