  1. I hate 59 South!, it's just as bad as 290 always and forever. 59 is always screwed up from 45 to Crab River Road. And what is that all that lane ending crap just passed Hwy 6. It drops two or three lanes with in a few hundred yards and they are Left lanes. I always forget and never know how far to get over. But at least we don't have two I-35's like the Metroplex (Who's f'd up idea was that?)
  2. I ride The Beltway mostly, love that EZTag! But 45 from Conroe always chokes up around Shepherd and is slow to the Loop, when I have to go to the permit office downtown on Washington. Lately all the fires have been on the West side and that's a b itch getting back North on The Beltway and The Hardy between 4 and 6pm. But I must say that the traffic that I have encountered most of my life in Houston is nothing like the traffic I have encountered in Miami, Florida, Buffalo, New York, and various big cities in California that I have visited. And of course the Dallas/Ft.Worth Metroplex has to have been the worst, probably because I lived there for a number of years before returning home to Conroe.
  3. That kind of legislation will start popping up here eventually. Even worse than it is now. It will probably start in California and spread through the liberal states like wild fire until it becomes federal. Especially if we don't change our current political situation.
  4. I agree that this is a good thing for the time being. They will have the funds for R&D and also access to labs in order to prove the safety of eCigs. This will help pave the way for smaller operations to operate without the fear or threat that they are selling a dangerous product. But as Chris said, patent battles will follow as those big companies try to lock themselves into profits to cover the expense of the R&D and the labs. It's a double edged sword. I see that a lot of smaller operations will be bought up by the big companies, that will pay off for those who have hung in thus far but it will be bad for the consumer as customer service will go down the tubes and the choice of products will be scaled down to what can be efficiently mass produced and disposable. Most small operations cannot compete with the big money it takes to have a product patented. The last time I checked, back in 1997, it cost $10,000.00 to have a patent attorney just perform a patent search to see if you invention or idea hasn't already been submitted. We never went as far as having a product patented because the cost was just too far out of sight.
  5. That is just too cool. Inspiring story, glad to have you here.
  6. Man that pretty much just sucks! But on the other hand I hope it relieves you of your pain and keeps you functional.
  7. Back in 2009 seaspine started a thread here on the Vapor Talk Forum..."Caused A Ruckus" that had to have been the funniest story about vaping in public that I have heard yet, it went like this... So I pull up at the gas station and take one last puff before I get out of the car. While I'm pumping the gas this guy comes up and asks me about my e-cig.I give him one little demo puff and this old lady starts screaming about blowing up, she runs and gets this attendent and I get a lecture about the combustable nature of gasoline. I know I Probaly suldn't vape while pumping gas, bescaus it is a heat source and all,But the sight of this little old blue-haired lady running into the gas station screaming "he's going to blow us up" was pretty comical. After the lecture the gas station attendent did take and intrest in my 510. I told him to come to this site and check us out.
  8. I told you it would be a breeze. I can't believe it was only 19 minutes. When I had mine out they had a long waiting list and I laid in the hospital for 5 days before they took mine out. Total cost on mine was 29K after all was said and done.
  9. I had mine out three years ago, it was a breeze, nothing to it. I wish you the best with it.
  10. Re-reading this post nearly a year later makes me feel like a hypocrite or a liar. Life happens, mine seems to be in full swing lately, I find the time to pop in every now and again, but I'll no longer say things like "I'm back" or "I'll be more active" because I can't commit to that, in actions. Even though that's what I want to do at the time; people, family, business and just "things" get in the way of me making those statements a reality. It's not that I don't like Vapor Talk or that I don't care, I think y'all are are super guys, especially Chris and a few others that were real good friends during my time here. Of course as with any addiction, without support, the addicted generally fall back into their addiction. This I have done, I'm currently back up to two packs of analogues a day and have been since I stopped being so active on the forum. I can feel that it is going to be my detriment and it will put an end to me if it hasn't already. I keep saying "when things settle down", but they never do, whether good times or bad; customers, family and friends keep demanding my time, effort and energy. With all that said, I still want to get back into the swing of things on the forum, but I know I can't commit and my being here and still smoking is hypocritical. I know that y'all are going to say that that doesn't matter, but it does to me. It's just the way I'm made, I wouldn't drink in an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting and the same sentiment applies here. I make a periodic check on the topics and lurk in the background from time to time, but being a regular again will not happen anytime soon, if and when it does, I'm sure it will be awhile before my intentions are equal to my actions and I will actually do what I say I'll do. Just know that I am here in spirit. I thank Chris for providing this venue, the time and effort he has put into this endeavor is monumental. I know for a fact that the amount of effort and energy that Chris has put into this forum and the Vapor Talk Store or Forever Vapor far exceeds the amount of profit he has reaped. The hours spent verses the money earned is probably less than minimum wage. He has done this because he is committed to this cause and because he truly cares that people have a place to do what all they do here in the type of atmosphere that he has created. The Vapor Talk Forum is a very different forum from the others, a safe place for all and free of slander, attitudes and negative feelings toward it's members, everyone here has always seemed to want to help others and not hold them down. That is a mountainous feat to accomplish and he has assembled a great team to help him accomplish that task. I feel very fortunate, to have at one time, been part of that team, thank you Chris for the opportunity. I have a lot of fond memories while an active member here, especially the banter back and forth with Keenan, how I wish that hadn't ended. But people come and go and they move on to other things. I suspect Keenan is otherwise enjoying life in New York and spending good time with his family, hopefully he will return to Vapor Talk as I miss him the most. Who knows what tomorrow will bring, maybe I'll win the lottery and have the time to do what I want instead of my business dictating where I spend my time. So, to all the Vapor Talk members I say, enjoy your time here, and keep the faith vape!
  11. I switched from the VP2 to an eGo with a tank cartomizer. Works great! I like the regular resistance attomizers because the low res makes the vapor too hot for me and makes my tounge raw on the end.
  12. I'm glad to see that everything is normal with your daughter, I'm sure your doing a great job as a Dad. Just wait till she is 4 and manages to get a grilled cheese sandwich into the CD/DVD drive.
  13. That was great! However I have seen some Propylene Glycol manufacturers selling Kosher PG. If someone was actually billing their e-liquid as Kosher I'm sure that they are depending on the fact that the PG is Kosher and haven't had the final product blessed by a Rabi. Of course Kosher simply means "approved" and does not necessarily or always mean that it has been actually blessed by a Rabi. Muslims also eat some foods that follow the same rules as Kosher foods but not entirely, Jewish peoples do not eat shellfish whereas Muslim people do. I could go on but I think I've probably said too much as it is.
  14. I appreciate the "Welcome Back", I'll try not to ruin it after I get completely off the analogues this time.
  15. That was the first time I had ever done a video chat. After I signed off last night, I was thinking that I probably talked too much. I seemed like most people were waiting for the others to speak, so I just jumped in there. I hope I didn't make an a ss out of myself. But it was fun and I enjoyed meeting some of the newer members that I haven't met yet.
  16. Kinda brings a tear to my eye, I said KINDA!... I too started smoking analogues again along with the eCig, I'm such a maroon sometimes. I'll get back off of it soon. Even thought I have been away and busy dealing with all of the craziness, I missed the forum and the interaction with the members. Of course, according to Chris I'm not in the "awesomest" of members category anymore, but I guess I deserve that. Maybe I can make amends. Anyway It's good to be back...home, here on the VT forum, I missed you guys and I look forward to the coming year.
  17. I saw that review a few months back and I just wasn't that impressed, but I have thought about how to make an auto dripping e-Cig and I haven't come up with anything, so I guess Carlos is doing better than I am...
  18. I have to stick my two cents in here, about two weeks after I quit the analogues I noticed the smell of the carpet powder stuff my uses in the house, you know carpet fresh stuff, you sprinkle it on and vacuum it up...the funny thing is I smelled it from the drive way the first time I noticed it! I think I have a bionic nose now, I smell everything. One of the first thing I had to do was clean out the truck, wipe it down and I put an ozone-ator (ozone machine) in the truck for a week running to combat the funk of forty thousand years cigarettes.
  19. Oh, crap. I was fit to be tied last night by the time I went to bed. By the time I got someone to really help me on the phone with Suddenlink, I was sloshed. I had made all of these calls and gotten the runaround and I kept pouring wine into that glass and well, needless to say, I staggered to bed. I'm sure the guy thought I was a lush. I did discover a website that helps out a lot when trying to get around these voice activated/navigated menu systems that companies use now the web site is http://gethuman.com/ and it list telephone numbers of companies that are actually answered by real people and not a computerized menu system. I guess what started all of these computer and network problems was a little Christmas gift that I received, it's a WD TV LIVE. It's a real neat little box that you plug into your TV via an HDMI, Component or A/V cables and connect it to your network either via a wireless adapter or an Ethernet cable and it takes every photo, music file or video file that you have on your network and lets you view it on your TV. It also lets you log into YouTube and watch videos on the TV and it comes with connectivity to 365 Live and Pandora Internet Radio. It doesn't do NetFlix however, but I understand that there is a way to push NetFlix through your network to this device, i haven't delved into that yet. I bought a Linksys Wireless N USB Network Adapter for the is unit and it worked fine for a few days and then I guess things just got overloaded with network traffic. I have come to the realization that I will have to upgrade my linksys Wireless G routers to Wireless N if I am to continue with the setup that I have, or I'm going to have to run a bunch of Ethernet cables thru out the house. Since I have added that little number to the network, our cell phones don't work on the network anymore. Our cell phones will automatically log into the network and make VOIP calls when we are at home because of the reduced cell signal in the house since I added the radiant barrier roof. Today I got my wife's phone working on the network as it should but now mine is giving me an error message that indicates I'm using the wrong password on the WEP enabled router, it's the same password as always? In other news, we have found out that our old dog has heart worms and he is going to start treatments in a few weeks, we are keeping him calm and quiet in the spare bedroom until the steroids and antibiotics get him to a point where he is strong enough to take the arsenic treatments. I have had a few jobs kick off and I've got my guys working again and the old company that I used to work for years ago shut down and the owners daughter has come on board with my company in as a sales person. Funny thing is that I knew her before I met my wife and we dated a few times and my wife knows this. When I told my wife I was hiring her, it was evident she was jealous. She starts next week, I bet my wife will take a more active roll in the business from now on.....he he he!! I'm so mean! That is one way to get her off her a ss and back into the office!
  20. I am so flabbergasted with tech support I really don't know where to start. I have made two, hour long calls to TMobile to find out that it is my Internet provider that is slowing things up and after three calls to mostly dumba sses at Suddenlink, I find that the call centers are as limited in bandwidth as I am. If one more person asks me to reset my network, my story will end up on CSI or Criminal Minds.
  21. The "old" Bob Newhart show was "The Bob Newhart Show" where he played Dr. Robert "Bob" Hartley, the psychiatrist. The "new" Bob Newhart show was "Newhart" is where he played D ick Loudon. the owner of the inn in Vermont. In the new show he is also a writer and eventually becomes the host of "Vermot Today" a TV show, on the show. Confused yet? I am! It's kind of like the New Coke, Old Coke, Classic Coke commercial for Pepsi in the 80's.
  22. Yeees, it was Darell, I got it wrong, I was having a senior moment!
