@ Everyone - As m Irish Mother used to say, " a 'tousand 'tanks" @ stubear - I thought about taking the charger, but as I only have 1, my biggest fear is forgetting it at the hospital and being home with dead batts. @Vegas - Thats what they called it, "Bowel Obstruction", aka sleepy bowels. As for the tube thru the nose, heres something weird. I used to be an EMT, and have "intubated" many patients who were in cardiac arrest, no problem. But when the doc tries to stick a tounge depresser in MY mouth, oh no you dont ! Gag me to no end, just cant do it. And I KNOW I wont be able to watch them do it to my wife if it comes to that, I'll be out in the hall vaping away !

Hi Guys. Its Friday and I got a few free hours so I thought id give an update. First, I cant begin to tell you all, how GREAT it is to feel comfortable enough to share this info with so many people I have never even met. It is a solid testament to just HOW special Chris, and all of you guys on VT are to me and my family. Normally, I would start off with something like " I know you people probably dont care about this", but I know, you people actually do. And I cant thank you all enough. So, the update. I really hope Im not too graphic here.Yesterday, the Docs decided to NOT do surgery, but insead to place a tube through her nose to her stomach to try and drain the blockage. Today, they decided NOT to do that, but to just wait a day or two to see if that works. She has whats known as "sleeping bowel" something or other. She cant eat, or drink, ANYTHING.Everything she has eaten for the past week is still in her stomach. Shes bloated, and just generally uncomfortable as you could guess. Oh yeah, hungry and thirsty too. Shes in good spirits, as good as can be expected. So, While I guess Im glad there not doing surgery, I kind of wish they would do SOMETHING, instead of this waiting game. She has an I.V. and is in good hands, its just frustrating. On the upside, as I said before she never really took to vaping like I did. Well, now she has no choice. Im running back and forth with charged batts because I only bought enough for my habit with the 510. She's using m old Blu as well, but most of you know how reliable they are. And shes not , like me, too thrilled with the taste of Blus carts. I have been dripping the Dulcis on them for her, and Chris, you have another, PICKY, satisfied customer there. That seems to be her flavor of choice. Its a good thing I took to the Exotic Tobacco flavor, cause I still have 2 bottles of Dulcis for her. If she wanted my Exotic, well, Id really miss her. So there it is. I'll be on and off sporadically the rest of the day. Thanks again guys. Im man enough to say, I love you all !

Good video Smoke. A little skeptical about the vehicle though. There are many orgs out there like this one, and Im not really sure they accomplish much. Dont get me wrong, they have good intentions, and Im not trying to dis them in any way. I just think other than a place to vent, they dont serve much of a purpose. I dont believe there is ONE elected official at ANY level of Govt. that could care less abouth these groups, because these groups dont effect their pocketbook. Im going off on a tangent here, got a lot on my mind today, wifes having surgery, so I;ll stop here. I liked the video, well put together, great message, good find Smoke.

Travis, my thoughts and prayers are with this deputies family, and EVERY LEO, every day. I come from a family of LEO's, in fact, I am one of te FEW males who isnt one. My cousin was a NY State Trooper who lost his life in the same manner in 1981. You;re right, these guys do a thankless job, and evryone of them will tell you it is NOT for the money. My prayers go out to the family. And to those of you on VT who are not religous, have a good thought for them as well.

Dont worry Nana, Im sure no one took offense. Like you, I came across like I WANTED the new law, and I wasnt clear either. I am absolutely NOT in favor of new laws, but the way the topic was begun, I kinda thought it was an either or choice. And given our current status as second class citizens for being linked to the word "cigarette", I think it WOULD behoove us to have a law that covers our collective rear ends. Other than that, Id rather eliminate about a thousand useless laws that already exist.

My body has been a part of the axis of evil for many many years now. As for my dog, he;s a dachshund, and has about as much energy as a pillow. When theres food involved, hes a tornado, but other than that, I got him beat when Im sleeping. I dont understand it, how some people get all of their senses back while others dont. I think it was nana who said after 4 monthes she STILL doesnt have her tastebuds back. That was the first thing I noticed, before having more energy.

Hmmm, never had that happen. The after a meal vape took a while for me to get as good as the after a meal smoke was though. All of the "smoking rituals" actually took a while to get used to - first morning vape, after a meal vape- etc. But that went away with time, and now theyre ALL good. I think it was more mental than anything

Chris said - " I have a pack of baby wipes on my desk that I use to clean my units every day and clean up any liquid on the unit." Its taking ALL my strength to restrain myself here !! Anyway, back to topic, the 510 is notorious for leaking as well !

OK guys. when it rains it pours. Yesterday, my wife went to the E.R. again, for the last week she hasnt been able to eat or drink, sore throat, etc. etc.... turns out she has some kind of blockage and theyll be doing surgery tomorrow. REALLY, its not that serious ( at least thats the impression Im getting). So, Im gonna jump the gun here, cause I KNOW how great you all are, and thank you for your warm wishes before you even give them. BUT, this post is about while I was in the room with her. I vaped away like a flue blocked chiminy for the last 4 hours, and I GUESS they must be used to it, cause nobody even LOOKED at me funny. A couple of times, as I was letting out a billowing cloud of vapor, a nurse walked by and just smiled and said hello, not even a raised eyebrow.When the Dr. came in to consult, I kept vaping away. Nothing. Not even a question. How friggin COOL is that !! I dont know if Im happy that it was so well recieved, or dissapointed that I didnt get to explain it to everyone. Now, my wife still smokes, she didnt take to vaping like I did. She DOES on a rare occasion use my old Blu for half a day, then goes back to smoking. ( Gradually, I really think she WILL vape eventually, so Im not pushing it ). So when the nurse came in to re do her I.V., AS she was doing it I reached over and laid the Blu pack RIGHT next to my wife so she could vape if she wanted to, AND THE NURSE DIDNT EVEN FLINCH !!! I just dont know what to say. It was awesome !. So, Im home right now getting a few things for her, Ill be going back in an hour or so. I doubt Ill be on VT much today, but Ill keep you all updated when possible. I really feel good , almost like we have the medical community on our side. THATS a big plus as far as Im concerned. Talk to you guys later.

Now THAT is cool. I know you probably wont read this till after the show, but growing up in NYC, I practically LIVED at MSG back in the 70's. I saw Elton John and John Lennon (his LAST live appearance) in 74. Ive seen Elton about 12 times there actually. Also, Aerosmith, Jethro Tull, Bad Co., gosh, I cant remember all the shows. Womens roller derby, Ringling Bros Circus. MSG is a GREAT venue ! Make sure you head over to Mustang Sallys afterwards !

LOL ! Smokinghammer, I guess my rep precedes me. I can turn ANY topic into a political discussion. LOL ! BUT, I promise I wont here. Back to what you said, I would only add that Im more concerned not about a vaper blowing his horn, but his victim finding out it was caused by vaping, and starting a crusade as a result. In the end, I guess it doesnt matter either way, ANY bad reference to vaping will be devastating.

If we even REMOTELY want e cigs to be accepted, we have to come out of the gate with concessions already in hand. Do I think it SHOULD be illegal ? Short answer, no. I think it MUST be illegal to avoid any controversy that is BOUND to arise, because as much as I hate to admit it, there MUST be some irresponsible vapers out there who will abuse the privelage. And if, IF we ever get e cigs accepted, it will take ONE lawsuit as a result of that irresponsibility to have them taken away as quick as we got them. Our society of late is on a "punish the masses for the mistakes of a few" mode. While I dont agree with it, I would be willing to sacrifice it for the right to vape. Benjamin Franklin said - "Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." Unfortunately, Franklin's world was a little less complex than ours.
