I agree with Nana. I love my Ego. The only complaint I had with the 510 was the battery life (1-1/2 to 2 hour for the regular batt/ 3-4 hours with the mega batt). I am a heavy vapor and my Ego batts last about 8 hours.

Snubber, As you know I'm trying to collect them all! I do have a 901 (ordered when I got my first 510) and it's ok but with the auto batteries and lack of throat hit it is collecting dust in my collection of pvs. Not that the 901 is a bad unit but I certainly like the 510 atty better. Now just to get you going --I LOVE MY VP/PT!!!

I agree with Brian. Very nice unit. I have 2 as well. The only other one that has gotten a hold on me is the Ego. But the spade is the one I carry all day at work. The batteries are replaceable (as opposed to the ego, you have to replace the whole base). You can't go wrong with either.

Hello Missxenobia, It looks like an 801 penstyle. As for the company, I have not dealt with them but I think you might be able to get an 801 for a better price. Maybe even steer your friend towards a 510.

Hi Scarlette, All I can figure is that there is a break in period for the atty. You said yesterday you got great vapor and flavor and today not so much, Could it be that you flooded the atty? 4 drops in the spade is a bit much. I usually find 3 to be plenty. Try blowing out the atty ( disconnect from the battery and blow through the bottom into a paper towel) re-drip and see if that helps. If not check back in, I'm sure there will be more answers.

I would have to agree with Ray on this one. I've found that the 510 gives you a better (and warmer) throat hit and the 801 a little more flavor. You can also try madvapes.com for adaptors (don't know if they have a 510 to 801).

It's a tobacco flavor. I got some from Arno at awesomvapor.com---Kinda like a Virginia tobacco. Not bad, pretty good throat hit and nice flavor.

Hello Aelle, Try ordering a genuine joye 510 from the Vapor Talk store and you should have no problem. Usually if you are getting a mettalic taste, that means you don't have enough juice on the atomizer. Try that first and if that doesn't work--get a genuine joye product. Hey Bkrebbs and welcome to Vapor Talk. You can wash out the poly fill that came with your carts and then dry with a paper towel. I like to use fluval (the water polishing pads) for my carts when I do not direct drip. As far as the atty goes, I haven't burned one up yet. It seems like it is kinda hit & miss. Did you get a genuine joye? But 2 weeks does seem awfully short for an atty.
