  1. Thanx Brian - At work so brought it up briefly but will have to check it out later. Looks like I'll have to have multiple pairs of glasses on to work the atty. And it'll have to be after my latest projects, trying to repair my 6 year old RPTV to use with XBOX 360 and finally setting up my 4.5TB Raid 5 server.
  2. If you have a full cart that does not sound normal. It sounds like the wick on the atty is just not reaching the the juice in the cart or it is dead. 1) What kind of filler is in the cart? 2) How old is the atty? 3) How did you try cleaning the atty?
  3. Excellent, I can't stress enough not to use combofix unless its directed by someone who knows what they are doing, stick with the three I recommended (realt Malwarebytes and SAS, spybot is really a cleaner). Combofix is awesome, but destructive at times. Also, Ccleaner as mentioned is a great tool for cleaning up temp files, internet files, etc. Again, settings should be looked at carefully, will not get you in trouble, but if you wipe out certain things like history and recently typed URLs, you are telling the browser to forget where you were in the past and lots of folks depend on that. At least killing temporary internet files (which can be done from the internet options tab) should be done to keep your browser spinning along. As long as I'm enumerating tools, if you have kids or parents that occasionally need help, a great free tool called teamviewer lets you easily connect remotely to another machine. Just install on both machines (choosing free private use options). The troubled machine will get an ID and pswd on left side oof screen that they give you. You type the ID on the right, then the pswd then you see the screen on the remote machine. Cool. When installing, don't choose start with windows. It's a pig so you don't want it running all the time. I do that when I know I'll be cleaning the machine, rebooting and cleaning some more. Then I set it off when done. If you do that you need to assign a permanent pswd that you will remember.
  4. Glad to hear your good. The three scanners I recommend are malewarebytes, superantispyware and spybot. They fix most anything, I really recommend you get all three down and every once in a while run them to maintain things (when you get a chance). As far as firefox goes, just download it, install it and when it asks about importing your bookmarks, etc., just pick IE and it should end up copying everything over. You'll might have to install (when prompted) some plugins like flashplayer, acrobat etc., but it should lead you through it. Here's some info, the download button is on the left. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/switch.html In rare cases, some web pages may not work as well or even at all with firefox. So the good news is, nothing is affected with IE, just go ahead and bring that up and do what you need to do. I would say 99.99% of main stream apps work with Firefox. If you install Firefox, you can click the button that says don't make it your default browser. This way when you click on a link, it will still bring up IE to view. Once you get comfortable with firefox, you can go into the tools button, options and make firefox the default. Don't like, when you bring up IE, it'll be peeved its not the default anymore and beg for you to make it the default again. Browser wars. ;-) Any specific questions PM or post here if generally useful.
  5. Well therein lies the problem, the GW folks are getting in trouble more and more for "flawed/fudged" data. I know I'm not a weather/geologic person but I do know things can appear different for many different reasons, in other words, global warming causing colder conditions, the cold weather maybe is just cyclical and maybe would have been colder without GW? Point is, I don't know, but I do know some folks are saying when we do know it will be too late, if that's true, its scary. What does appear true is both camps are more politically oriented than scientific, so I guess wwe'll find out one way or the other in a couple of dozen years, gulp.
  6. So its wrapped around the wick in the atty? I'll have to go and look at some now...
  7. A word of warning, mega batts don't work "out of the box" in a standard PCC. I see you were looking at possibly picking them up.
  8. Most of this is answered. As far as a unit, you could go standard 510 and have a couple of batts handy, or a spade with an extra battery handy. Bottom line is if you're venturing away from the homestead, you should have your primary device and a backup in case something goes wrong. So in the beginning I had several 510s built and ready to go. A PCC for charging on the go and a bottle of juice and an extra battery and atty (or two). manual batteries prevent an issue of leakage from the aty into the battery. I like manuals because you can actually start it cooking before drawing. Wordupecig has a sampler and many flavors including lights, camel, marlboro, etc. I can not attest to how light they taste, I am a menthol freak. http://www.shop.wordupecig.com/e-lquid-Variety-Pack-e-lquid-Variety-Pack.htm Carts are usually round tips.
  9. As long as it's not a contest, I'm betting I can take you in that one!!!
  10. Cart cart cart (PTB), dripping is for those crazy kids! What is the stringy fiber wick?
  11. LOL!!! Props for a great sense of humor.
  12. Yuppers - That's my preference, I get them in bulk at TW...
  13. I'm proud to be in that little group you just singled out. And in his defense, Brian did say he looked the other way. I can only speak for my household, and I'm sure you can wash a mean dish, real spit shine and all as can my wife. My issue, at my house, is no matter how many times it's explained, the art of loading a dishwasher seems to be a lost one (if I didn't know better, purposefully so there's one less chore). Actually, my son is catching on so...hmmmmm ;-) Wait, wasn't the original complaint that we're all in our barco loungers relaxing? How did us saying we don't all do that end up getting us in trouble anyway? Wow - this is just like my house after all. ;-)

  15. Getting O/T I know, but I am known as the dishwasher nazi in my house. If it's not loaded my way, I unload and reload, prevents rewashing. Also, no one is allowed to wash my clothes either. Apparently emptying pockets is deemed optional by everyone but me, as is checking them before throwing the clothes into the washer. What a great combination as my dress shirts get washed with lipstick, chocolate, etc. So its a matter of necessity, not sharing.
  16. VT Mentha is my choice mixed with Johnson Creek Arctic Menthol (somesimes JC choco mint). Wife likes Janty Polar Mint, mixed with JC Arctic and Ecopure menthol (from Innovapor).
  17. The nastier ones can hide from that, then its on to combofix which is awesome, but...drastic.
  18. It's actually multiple lawsuits waiting to happen for that reason. Place where I picked it up suggested exactly that, the people going in are at serious risk for getting a snootful of shot or worse. "In the State of Florida (and many other states), if you do this while someone is present in their home, you are presumed to be acting with the intent to do great bodily harm or worse, and the occupant(s) are authorized under the Castle Doctrine to use deadly force to stop you." from: http://market-ticker.denninger.net/archives/1963-Mistaken-Foreclosure-Or-Felony-Criminal-Conduct.html
  19. I order lots of electronic equipment, definitely feel your pain but I know people who make the mistake of paying extra for the shipping, only to find out it takes a week for the supplier to get it out the door!! Ouch baby, very ouch. At least with these guys you know its going out the door really quick.
  20. I know you weren't asking but I got 50. Throwaways for juice lending...
  21. http://www.tampabay.com/news/business/realestate/bank-of-america-forecloses-on-house-that-couple-had-paid-cash-for/1072632 Bofa did this in spite of warning they had the wrong house. Hopefully they pay through the nose...wait, then they'll want more free money from us...
