  1. Hey DV - I love LR attys, if you like flavor, visit NeRo9k's site at createvapor.com for low res 901 attys and get a 510 adapter. Mmmmm. It simulates the 5V experience, as mentioned, do not use low res with higher volts. I also recommend trying the 1.8, 2.0 and 2.5 resistance cartos on the ego. I hated the 1.6s but having good luck with these. The can be found at nhaler.com, electronicstix.com and cloads of vapor was one place for the 2.5s. Finally, people rave about the buzz, not sure where to get but variable voltage, so dial it in where you like.
  2. I think there is always a lot of confusion in regards to batteries. If you read the link I posted, I believe the best advice for Lion batteries,at least for laptops, is to drain and recharge periodically. There is actual circuitry in them that needs to be "recalibrated" once in a while. I always run through a few cycles when setting up someone's laptop.
  3. Although lithium-ion is memory-free in terms of performance deterioration, batteries with fuel gauges exhibit what engineers refer to as "digital memory". Here is the reason: Short discharges with subsequent recharges do not provide the periodic calibration needed to synchronize the fuel gauge with the battery's state-of-charge. A deliberate full discharge and recharge every 30 charges corrects this problem. Letting the battery run down to the cut-off point in the equipment will do this. If ignored, the fuel gauge will become increasingly less accurate. (Read more in 'Choosing the right battery for portable computing', Part Two.) http://www.batteryuniversity.com/parttwo-34.htm
  4. Nope, part of that something he is fond of saying?
  5. My vape is 40% VT Mentha, 40% Johnson Creek Arctic Menthol and 20% VT Dulcis.
  6. Brain slips a gear and stores the memory as long term, distant even though it is just happening/happened. Feels like you've done it/been there before.
  7. I always believed we should endeavor to eschew obfuscation, but that's simple ole me.
  8. I think another trick with cartomizers is to refill before you get a bad taste indicating they are empty. Rumor has it the bad taste is REALLY bad and once you get it, the carto is lost forever. I top off every now and then. I also dump them rather quickly as the taste start to get lost after a while, its slow so you don't really notice until you fill and use a new one.
  9. Nice choice, now you have some backups in the form of 510s in case something nasty and unplanned happens...
  10. I'll add to this thread to say none of us know what's in the juices or hardware we get. I don't know these folks at all making even the USA made juices, they have a clean room, are they ill, angry? Every few years a report comes out about lead in kids toys, pet food poisoned, infant milk tainted, so I don't mean to scare anyone but its one reason I would love the FDA to be involved (if done correctly). FWIW - I buy from the VT store (Chinese), and Johnson Creek (they are US and have a clean room). If you really want to do it, I would research DIY. This way you can buy the ingredients yourself and have a better idea of what you are getting. Then the ingredients are probably under FDA purview. I wouldn't normally suggest it but without nic, it actually make sense. Handling concentrated nicotine is dangerous.
  11. Sounds like battery issue to me, possibly the charger is not working well if all three are having an issue...you are charging them correctly and successfully?
  12. Knowing I'm capable of (some might say I enjoy) being the devil's advocate, whatcha think about this? http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/real-estate/tennessee-fire-ignites-national-debate-on-public-services/19665148/?icid=sphere_copyright ...on September 29, when the sixteen-year-old resident of Obion county, Tennessee left the fire unattended while he took a shower. When he returned, a nearby shed was aflame. Despite his efforts to stop the fire with a garden hose, it soon spread to his grandparents' home. Lance's grandfather, Gene Cranick, called the nearby South Fulton fire department to request assistance. But, despite his increasingly frenzied calls and his offer to pay for help, the fire department refused to send trucks to the scene: apparently, Cranick hadn't paid his yearly fire subscription, a $75 fee that some rural residents in Obion have to pay in order to get fire department service. As a result, firefighters left his house to burn. Eventually, the fire department responded to the calls for distress -- when the fire spread to a neighbor's property. Unlike Cranick, the neighbor had paid his fee, so the firemen sprayed down his lawn. Afterward, they watched as Cranick's house was destroyed. In addition to burning all the family's possessions, the fire also claimed the lives of the Cranick's three dogs and one cat. A Nationwide Response For commentators on both the left and right, the Cranick conflagration was a sterling example of the effects of a pay-as-you-go model of government services. Radio and television commentator Glenn Beck was quick to jump into the fray, siding with the fire department: "Those who are just on raw feeling are not going to understand...If you don't pay the $75, then that hurts the fire department. They can't use those resources and you would be sponging off of your neighbor's $75...This is important for America to have this kind of debate, because, A, this is the kind of stuff that is going to happen. We are going to start to have to have these kinds of things." I had to include Glenn ****'s comments (did I spell that wrong?). Now we don't know all the details, nor do I think I really care. But "raw emotions aside", these guys actually pulled up outside, watched it burn as they poured water on the neighbor's lawn to make sure they didn't have a fire. Three dogs and a cat are dead, I have no idea if they knew whether or not people were in there, and all for the sake of closing a budget gap. How much you think the lawsuit would be worth if they made had made a mistake and not realized the homeowner did pay? Also, not for nothing, but $75 a person does not cover the cost of the fire dept as noted. They tried to charge people $500 after the fact but could only collect 50% of the fee so they went for the subscription. My point is it is subsidized by taxes, and if these people pay any part of those taxes, shouldn't they get a little water at least? ;-)
  13. I still have them but only for my knuckle headed friends who still smoke (on the deck). I hate cleaning them out after a party.
  14. I would think the juice would be somewhat less of an issue with a cartomizer. Having said that, I actually got an automatic 510 for a friend and I was amazed how it kept coming on and off with the slightest breeze or motion. Also, there are little tricks to e-cigs like holding the button down for a second or so to heat it up before hitting that are lost with the automatics.
  15. I couldn't disagree more; what a hallmark sentiment, like every vote counts!!! First, I think since I pay taxes and am a citizen I have every right to b----. In fact, no matter who you voted for in the last election I think I have a right to make fun of you for voting as well!! ;-) Are you really saying I have to choose the lessor of two blowhards to have a right to complain? I was just talking to someone last night who only votes republican no matter what. I mentioned that means if the candidate really doesn't even have to have a plan or stated policies? Yup. So what are you really voting for then, the basic tenets of the party's national committee? Weird. He actually was going to storm out when I said GWB was not only the stupidest president alive, but might just be the stupidest human alive. Okay, I meant to get a reaction with that, it quieted down after I said Ronny wasn't that bright either, difference was (IMO) Ronny put some pretty smart people around him, GWB had is poker buddy cronies, he let Cheney run that show. I thought Ronny was great, point of this was this person was convinced I was a bleeding heart liberal if I criticized GWB, its all or nothing to him!! Wife was cracking up I was being described as a liberal, she gets me.
  16. Well its still a tax, just a "use tax". Makes a lot of sense.
  17. I am always on wordup for juices for my friends or pointing people over there. But they do not have much of a selection of 0mg.
  18. We wouldn't even have to discuss it if the state and federal governments had a shred of fiscal responsibility. There was nothing inherently wrong with the tax breaks that took place in the 80s other than the fact there was still a pretty big deficit. We actually went to a surplus near the end of the century for a few years, and my point is, we are on a path of true destruction. The bailouts, quantitative easing (second round coming up), the continued reckless spending and the federal budget will be a shambles. Much of it (IMO) has to be laid at the feet of the folks who believed greed is good. Get rid of those pesky rules that prevent wall street from making money out of nothing. Make the SEC a joke that does nothing because the argument goes, if you put another billion dollars in a hedge fund managers pocket, everybody wins. Most of those rule changes were coming from ex-goldman sachs people or those who were in bed with them. And they're still around making these "suggestions" to the governemnt. Larry Summers was Robert Rubin's boy, Geithner, Paulson recently, the list goes on. Funny thing is it seems the most amount of damage by these thieves occurs under the democratic watch (at least when a dem is president) though the bailouts started at the end of GWB's term. I really hated those, they would blow up a couple of companies, feed the remains to GS and JPM at a very nice price, then bail them all out. Too big to fail? Anytime someone says we live in a capitalist environment I shudder. Ummm - what were we talking about? ;-)
  19. Propaganda? You left out one little point, according to the numbers I see, the top 50% pay 97% of the taxes in 2008 and they also made 87% of reported adjusted gross income. So boohoo they paid a little more than the lower 50%, but they also made a ton more than them as well. That's the point. Yes - the time frames you start with is when Reagan undid the rates that were high. The propaganda is ignoring, right or wrong, the really high rates (91%) the rich were paying before hand and using the mid 80s as a starting point.
  20. Nope and nope!! Now I have to go find it, those are definitely nicer!!
