  1. Did you mean to point to a specific battery? The janty V2 I had took 10440s. I used blue ones but the gray ones (protected?) were a little fat and a little long but managed to work. Also the V2 was an 801 fitting so are there 801 LR cartos? I see these... http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.974 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.30788 http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.36026 not sure if this is helping or not. I think its the unprotected blue ones but can't be sure. edit to add searching seems to agree its not protected. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/jantyworld/59837-janty-stick-v3-video-review-parked-1-5-10-a.html They are a tight fit but have used protected in the V2. In fact I have 6 or so I got from dealextreme for my spade if interested, spade needs a repair I haven't gotten to. PM me.
  2. With some smokers they cough like crazy, I usually switch out to regular cartos on an ego or 510 and then they say its nice. Weird, my sister was visiting and I was convinced she didn't inhale cigarettes but she did. But she was only coughing a little on the ego/regular carto. Could not take a 510 atty. Forgot to mention it was a tobacco flavor from wordup at 11mg. Too much nic and they might cough as well. If I had 0 I would have mixed it and tried that.
  3. Didn't someone else have a problem that required a lot of tinkering? Doesn't seem the same but... http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7013-dead-new-attys/
  4. Should it be "made" to actually be DOA first? ;-)
  5. Yeah - I saw folks talking about the issues with the CDC as well. You really can slice and dice all these stats almost in any way and both sides do. In regards to the video, hopefully you've all learned a valuable lesson. I never made it all the way through, but I hope the little bas-ard didn't shoot him in the a--... ;-) I laugh out loud almost every time I see it.
  6. Bottom line is they have much more experience punching holes in people through whatever means are at hand. And again, you are probably the exception to the majority of holders out there, though there are many cops who think they can do it, and either stumble at that moment or regret it ever after. Someone who is sure of it kind of worries me, all this stuff seems like folks trying to talk themselves into it. Also, not sure about the crime rate stat, the pro and anti groups are really good at spinning the numbers so I pretty much ignore all of them except for the CDC numbers. I think violent deaths from guns is lower in rural areas where ownership is higher though, I forget if that was violent or accidental. But if you look at the rankings by country, US is pretty sad, up there with belarus and other barely livable countries. Maybe its where I live, but I tend not to go places where I think I might need one, after that, I'll take the roll of the dice they don't come to me. So I didn't want to have to do this...but here is a little clip of what can go wrong when carrying...please pay attention
  7. Not a must, there are a bunch of ways to fill, I'll find posts here and there, I know there is one in the how to section of the store, I use my patented lazy method (I'll find my post a little later on). There are three types of cartos so far, far low resistance (1.6 ohms or so, regular (2.9 to as high as 3.3 I think), and medium 2.4 to 2.6. The low is terrible for me on 3.7, really harsh but maybe that's me. Medium seems pretty nice and the regular is just too cool especially as I'm 0 nic and get no TH from the juice. I would think only regulars should go on a 5V. When I find the dripping posts I'll put a pointer here. My method Store
  8. 1 part 24 -is- (1 * 24) -is- 24 1 part 6 -is- (1 * 6) -is- 6 final strength = (24 + 6) / 2 -is- 30/2 -is- 15 so using algebra amount (a1) of strength 1 (s1) and amount (a2) of strength 2 (s2) final strength = ((a1 * s1) + (a2 * s2)) / (a1 + a2) (always do whats in the inside parens first. So if you like is a little weaker and went two parts of 6 ((1 * 24) + (2 * 6)) / (1 + 2) - which is- ((24) + (12)) / (3) -which is- (36) / (3) -which is- 12 I think
  9. I definitely understand the points that amount to "walk softly and carry a big stick". But I'd like to think its more about cops carrying than people. I think last time I looked places like England were no better off or even maybe worse without an armed police force. That would have to suck being a LEO without a weapon and running across someone packing. Here's the statement I hate... The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable. Unfortunately this is very true but the entire assumption is with this truly lethal weapon can and will make reasonable judgments about when and how to use it. That is a giant leap of faith and puts me and mine in jeopardy from the 80 year old who's packing. Anyway, just being a devil's advocate...
  10. I usually look to madvapes for that or batteryjunction. http://www.madvapes.com/Li-Ion-Chargers_c_38.html http://www.madvapes.com/Protected-Trustfire-14500-Battery-900-mAH_p_2471.html
  11. Schiz - I have a collection of low, medium and regular resistance cartos if you want to give them a try. Also some blank medium resistance 901 cartos (Vapor4Life premium) cartos. PM me if interested, only warning is do not juice all the way up only to find you don't like cause they take a lot. Are you ego and a 5V? The cartos supposedly are really good on a 5V, shouldn't use the lower resistance on the 5V, harsh and you'll pop em. Let me know, I have no use for them and am hitting the PO tomorrow.

    My Bad.

The poor defenseless wee ones, how could we forget.
  13. I'd rather hit the gas than take a stance and put my family in jeopardy. I think you guys get my point. Its never as simple a situation as people make it out to be. I do understand the points, but most people I trust to carry a weapon probably, in spite of all the bravado, won't use it (and that's a good thing). Its the folks who think they are in the right with a hair trigger I worry about. Kill them all and let god sort it out!! ;-)
  14. The only flaw is when the car full of drunks or gang bangers have guns as well, I would hardly call that equal footing. I think they are much more experienced and willing to use them and willing to lose the lives of those around them by engaging in a gun fight.
  15. You can start with DIY kits. I think TotallyWicked has them and some other places, DIY flavorshack, others will chime in.
  16. I have those, they are nice. Also nice are the ones at createvapor http://www.createvapor.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=5&products_id=42 and I bought a bunch from super t... http://www.supertmanufacturing.com/id72.html I got the aluminum polished which is beautiful but my staple are the wide mouth regular delrin tips. I'm not quite a huge fan of the o-ring metal ones more for anything because it provides a tight seal and I do like removing the tips to drip when I can. My eyesight is not so good. I will probably try the aluminum this weekend camping. The metal ones were getting hot with low res attys and I think the aluminum will be better.
  17. Kind of answered here: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/7062-mega-cartos/page__view__findpost__p__63655 I would try a few of their others at $2.95...
  18. I like menthol without the tobacco flavor, my wife likes a hint of tobacco. Best one for her so far was the Nuport from vapor4life. 5ml bottles at $2.95 but they are out of 0mg, low and high is what they have. They have cartos as welland something called premium cartos which are 901 fittings and a lower resistance than a regular carto.
  19. Cartos are great for trips, driving, etc. I don't use, but trying to get the wife into them so she doesn't have to mess around on business trips, parties, etc. I am pretty loyal to the 510LRs at TW. Though I'm going to put in an order for the 901 LRs from createvapor once I load the gift card back up.
  20. If you only need once in a while I would get the slower charger that can be used with 510s as well. Having said that, if you are prone to waiting to the last minute, then the quick charger is the way to go. Both are around $8-$10. Also, I had a discussion a while back about using regular chargers on an ego. http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/forum/topic/6723-charging-the-egotornado-with-a-regualr-510-charger/ The mains adapter is at TotallyWicked and lets you charge on a regular 510 wall type charger.
  21. You're talking about attys or cartos? LR Cartos I hate and taste burnt. I've never had an issue with an LR atty, keep it wet but not flooded and they are very nice.
  22. Trying to get the wife to do cartos, wide mouth drip tips al lthe way. Makes it easy to keep it topped off as well. I always drip some in the next day as I hear nothing is worse than a carto going dry.
