  1. The dual coil EVOD tanks are glass now. Found that out just a little bit ago. The single coil EVOD tanks are the plastic one. There may be some dual coil plastic EVODs, but all my searches say the Duals are glass.
  2. One other thing, do not tighten them down just tighten it till it stops. Most are used to the SS and other metals that you can crank down tight. Doing this with copper will lock it tight and is nearly impossible to take apart again.
  3. I agree that Areo base is better, but a pain to clean only for the fact of having to take the base off. I have blown mine out by opening it up all the way, wrapping it in a paper towel and just blowing into the top of the coil head. The excess fluid will go out the air hole into the paper towel. If that don't work I will take out the head and twist up a paper towel to dab the inside. It soaks up the excess really quickly.
  4. Hummm I have a large supply of beads and stuff. I should round them up.
  5. When you go outside and try and change the weather creating a few clouds.
  6. The only time I would dry burn with a wick is if it is SS Mesh or Silica. If you are using any other wicking pull the wick and DB then re wick. I have had times where my cotton wick is so gunked up that I have burned it off. It is better than damaging the coil trying to pull it out.
  7. Welcome. Lots of good info and helpful people here.
  8. What Tam said and I will add... Could be that your coil is not tightened down all the way. A loose coil head will leak. Make sure it is tightened down into the base.
  9. I like it Iheart, definitely sets it apart from the rest and gives it a personal feel.
  10. Yep, don't really matter, so long as your battery fits as it should.
  11. Are you using organic cotton? if so, you may be getting a slight dry hit. This happens when you roll the cotton to tight. If not, get some, it will have a slight after taste for the first couple draws, but will fade quickly.
  12. Yes I have, I use 30ga for my standard coils and a 18ga blunt needle. The only difference is I use cotton for the wick so I can replace it more easily after I pull the old one out and dry burn it. Doing this makes it like a fresh coil. I also heat compress the coil like you would for a micro and use 8-9 wraps for a 2.0 to 1.8 ohm coil. Here is a wrap list I started and am still working on for ohm ranges KPT Micro Coil on a 18ga Blunt Needle 5 wraps = 1.2-3 6 wraps = 1.4-5 7 wraps = 1.6-7 8 wraps = 1.8-9* 9 wraps = 2.0-1* 10 wraps = 2.2-3* 11 wraps = 2.4-5 12 wraps = 2.6-7 13 wraps = 2.8-9 14 wraps = 3.0-1 Just some extra info you find helpful.
  13. Yep BeBop has it right. Some can last longer if stored properly. But, I would not vape anything over a year old. Once opened I wouldn't let it go more than 6-7 months. Air can also cause the Nic to discolor the juice. Best way to store it is in cool dark place. Placing it in the refrigerator is best for extended storage.
  14. Unless it has a lot of water in it, it will not freeze. The freezing point is around -20 to -50 depending on the water content. It will get really thick, but just let it warm to room temp and shake well it will be fine.
  15. Glad I looked first. Thanks for posting this I found it quite interesting. I may have to get some of the Japanese cotton. Like PBusardo, I'm a organic cotton user. I found his test to be an eye opener. I found hemp to be harsh and Rayon, just don't like the way it is made personally. After seeing how poorly the Organic cotton balls wicked, I knew there was going to be a change in my wicking.
  16. I don't think it is fair to bash or belittle anyone that sub ohms. Yes there are issues with kids doing this and that is a shame. There has always been issues with the attitude of Young Dumb and full of %^$. That will be the case no matter what it is. Go to Daytona Beach during spring break. I think there needs to be some tolerance here for those that do Sub Ohm and do it for the simple fact to stay of analogs. Yes Vaping is a touchy issue because of the FDA, but we all know that will not change. I remember when people making homemade Mods from flashlights were bashed for bringing on the wrath of the FDA and blah blah... Now look at what we have today, that is what has brought us to point of having Vamos, Provari's, Twist batteries, and so on. If it is not for you, that is fine.... If is then that should be fine too. If a person is good with a Twist battery and KPT pro 2 and it is what keeps them off analogs... More power to them. If a person needs more than that to stay off analogs, who are we to tell them they are wrong for doing so? Sub Ohming is only silly to those that don't feel the need. How boring would this world be if every one did the same thing because it was what a few people dictated to you that you could do. It is no different than the person that Bashes and belittles vaping as whole because they quit cold turkey. They think anyone that vapes is silly and weak minded. I did it why can't you attitudes are insensitive to others and narrow minded.
  17. Interesting.... I'll have to look into that. My digital microscope wouldn't get a good close up of it. Wish I still the one I got from a school sale years ago. Then I could really see what it is. Mold would make seance in why it only affected some batches and not others.
  18. I would assume so, because it does grow. I have no way of testing it to know for sure, so I don't vape it. I do not know how to prevent it yet, but I'm working on it. I have had some fruit that this doesn't happen with. What I mean by that is out of the same package of fruit I had one batch that did not do this and 2 that did. It may be a bacteria or some other form of growth that is in/on select pieces of fruit. This happened most often with the Lemons and Oranges more than any other fruit. I have only tested doing this with Citrus fruits so it may have some connection.
  19. Most are good, you just need to read the ingredients. Make sure they are not oil base. You also need to make sure that there are no preservatives. Some preservatives are toxic when vaporized. Good, Water Base Alcohol Base PG Base VG Base Bad Oil Base (Can coat the lungs) Any preservatives (Can be Toxic)
  20. Be very careful when working with raw fruit. I have done this with real fruit and it will cause a sludge that can not be filtered out. It is some kind of growth that will increase over time. I am not sure why this happens, but i does. It can look fine for about a week then you start to see it in the bottom of the bottle. Over a months time it can become quite thick at the bottom.
  21. Banana is one of those flavors that works better as an added flavor than as a straight flavor. I would agree it is just to much fo me on it's own. It also has to shaken very well because it will separate.
  22. I thought the only "Short Stem" were the original Pro 3 coils. they were out about a month and then Kanger went back to the longer stem. Interesting...
