LMAO How dare you use them for their intended purpose.

Tam: I'm sure you can find the KGD cheaper. I just wanted to use the home sites for both items. If you order more than 1 bag it can save money because the shipping stays the same up to a point. Earthling: You can still do that and I will update it.

I recently purchased some MUJI cotton pads. From the photos on the Internet, I could see little difference between them. Thanks to our own Tam, she graciously sent me some Authentic Kho Gen Do (KGD) pads to compare with what I had bought. There is a lot fuss about the KGD pads and how much better they are than organic cotton balls. There are reasons for why they are better. There is truth in that fact that the pads do wick better. Pbusardos test results: Now lets get down to brass tacks. What you will be looking at are images from my Celestron Microscope. These are images of both pads taken side by side. I will not reveal which one is which until some discussion is made. I also want to repeat Pbusardo's wicking test with both brands. Lets start with the price: From KGD Store per 60ct bag Price: $12.00 + shipping (vis UPS Ground only) $16.42 Total $28.42 From MUJI Store per 120ct bag Price: $4.95 + shipping (via Fed-x only) $5.95 Total $10.90 As you can see the MUJI pads are much less and you do get more for your money. The question is, are the KGD worth the higher price in the end. Do the KGD have a more superior wicking capability than the less expensive MUJI brand. Pad Size: KGD 3 1/8" x 2 3/8" MUJI 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" Thickness: KGD 3/16" MUJI 1/4" Color: (Same) KGD Off white with brown specks MUIJ Off white with brown specks Both pads have a layer on one side that is noticeably thicker or more rigid than the other. For this test I will refer to that as the top. The other side is less rigid and the fibers are not as tight, this side I will refer as the bottom. Both can be separated from the pad leaving the soft inner fibers exposed. This is the image of the top of both pads set side by side: More Magnification This is the image of the bottom of both pads set side by side: This is the image of both edges set side by side: This is the image of both pads inside showing the alinement of the fibers: It is very hard to tell them apart until the last image. Seems to me the fibers in one pad are more straight than the other. After seeing this, I want to test if this has any bearing on how they wick. It is said that the pads wick better because the fibers run more parallel with each other. This is unlike your standard organic cotton ball where the fibers are all different directions. I will be doing this test over the next few days. I'm going to do mine a little differently than Pbusardo did his. I will be using small glass vials and can not immerse them all at the exact same time. I will however be taking pics at set intervals of 1 hour from the time I start each test. I will be testing each with 100% vg, 100%pg, and a 50/50 blend to see the difference in the wicking of all 3. I will post those results in this thread when they are completed.

In the car... XPV with my Kayfun When Working... I work at home so I use my XPV with what ever tank an flavor I feel like at the moment.Sometimes grab the Mech with the TOBH .5ohm Watching TV... Same ^^^^ Local Bar-Resturant & Movies... When I go to a movie or crowded place is when I take my EVOD with a Iclear 16, so I can be more discrete. There are some restaurants and bars here where I'm at that it don't matter and I can use what ever setup I feel like taking. They are very Vape friendly. -

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

When your talking refund from the Gov. it is not usually in a timely manner. I don't loose anything by waiting my friend. I think Fasttech is faster than the Gov. and that's saying something. LMAO -

Ever hear the old saying "A watched pot never boils." It will come and in the mean time, your Juice is aging nicely and will be ready to vape the day you get it. -
Been watching M*A*S*H most of the night.

This is what happens with Emulsions and Essential oils. These are not good for making E-Liquids and can actually be bad for your lungs. -

Oh I get it there are a lot of gullible people out there. If it is presented the right way... yeah people will believe it. Sad to say, but my X-wife was one of them. There was one time coming back from visiting her family she made the statement "I don't understand why it takes longer to get home than it does to get to my Moms." Her Mom lived South West of where we lived. I told her "That is because it is all down hill on the way there and all up hill on the way back." Well about three weeks later when I wasn't around she brought it up to my folks. She was insisting that it was true. LMAO. She got mad because my Mom and Dad could not keep a strait face and laughed their a^& off. Then they explained it to her that I was just joking. My X was not happy and I heard about it for weeks after that. -

That's what I'm doing with my Akuma, I love a nice patina myself. When I bought it How it looks now

It will not take that long to do it naturally just by handling it. There are ways of forcing it, but I personally do not like the results in most cases.

I don't think it popped from having the air cut off. It is possible that you had a bad coil. I have had brand new Kanger coils pop on the first draw. When it comes to coils, Kanger has a poor track record in QC. I have taken several new coils apart and have seen the coil touching the side of the head casing. This is a pic of one I took apart, brad new out of the blister pack. You can see the coil is almost touching the side of the casing'

Some juices last longer than others...
Compenstine replied to JohnnyFog's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
It may be that the Suicide Bunny is more satisfying you than the others. Is the Nic content the same? Make some DIY at a higher VG level and match the consistency of the SB as best you can and see if it vapes any slower... -

*Shakes Head, WTF is wrong with these people? (Rhetorical) -
Heat will degrade nicotine and sunlight is the worst. Heating liquid is not a new concept and is used to quick age it. This is what you did when you heated it. There is fine line when you start heating fluid and it can give it a burnt taste. Sounds like your ok and did nothing but a quick aging on the fluid in your tank.
