30 is a good size for most any coil as Proetus said. I bought 32,30,28 in both Kanthal and Nicro. I also grabbed some flat Kanthal to try that out. Proetus, what do you think of the Nicro wire...? Is it better than Kanthal or just don't make a difference....

All TEMCo Resistance wire is 50% off right now. I just put in my order. Stock up if you have the extra funds. This has been a service announcement from your local Save Some Bucks Foundation!

Done, the guy gets my vote hands down.

LOL I still have a crap load of Jurassic items from just 4 years ago. At least the 510, 901, 112 attys and batts still have a use, even if it is only me that will use them. LOL I took one of the 510 attys out the other day and mounted it on my SID. Being a 3,2 I cranked the crap out of it and it wasn't that bad. LOL

Just saying And I agree pluging a e-cig charger into your laptop is not going to blow your battery up.
-
You are right they don't generate amps they mostly have a rated constant output. It is the same with laptop power supplies and any other "converter". If you were touch 220volt line caring only 500ma you would more than likely survive. But if you were touch a 12 volt line carrying 50amps you would likely die. Same with electronics in general. Say you have a wart that reads output 500ma-1.5 amps then yes it will regulate the amps. Let me give a different example You have a laptop that requires 12vdc, at 4,2amps input. Your power supply blows out... Oh but you have one that has a plug that fits but it has an output of 12vdc at 9amps Oh yes it should work...Plug it turn on laptop and it will smoke and fry. Why, because you sent too many amps into it. Now say you have a power supply that runs at 15vdc but only puts out 3.9 amps. plug fits. You do the same... plug it in turn on your laptop and what happens? You surf the internet the rest of the night. We dealt with these issues all the time in the computer shop with laptops and finding a power supply to get someone up an working again. E-cigs are no different. Asus TF300 Series Pad Wall Wart output 15vdc at 1.2 amp

I understand what your saying Jeff but there is 1 piece of the equation missing. These chargers have an input of 5v (amps not shown) If you look at your wall plug or Wart it will also have an input output converting AC to DC. Volts and Amps Does it show the Amps or mA? Does the wall wart Output match the Input of your Ecig charger? I have two wall warts here 1 from my Tablet 1 from my Cell phone Cell Wart output 5v 1.5amps DC Tablet Wart output 15v 1.2amps Now plug in your E-Cig charger to these what would that do? If I plug in to the Cell wart (depending on the Amp input it can take not listed *Unknowen) not much. But if the amp output of this exceeds what the E-Cig chager can handle for input it will cause your E-cig charger to fail regardless of its output. If you plug it into the wart for the tablet at 15v you are already over taxing the input of your e c-cig charger, Now the big unknown what is the amp input for the E-cig charger? is 1.2amps to much? You don't know. if that is over the input rating of the e-cig charger it again fails all bets are off Go Boom. See what I'm saying? If you did not get a wall wart with your e-cig charger Don't just plug it into one because the plug fits..... Your unit was meant to be charged in a computer USB not a wall wart. Only use a wall wart if your E-cig came with one and only that wall wart... 99.9% of the e-cig USB chargers are made to charge in a computer USB outlet or the wall wart that came with it, not just any and every wall wart you may have.

Where a lot people go wrong is amps. They will plug an e-cig into say the wart for their cell phone, It's USB right?, cranking way to many amps into a e-cig batt and BOOM!

Question for somebody good at math...
Compenstine replied to HelloMiakoda's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I would agree, Here $65 for name brand $49 for the absolute lowest Generic. Per Pack at my 2 packs a day $15, could get 30ml of juice for that.... -

I can go thru 10ml in a day and a half, I would say that is poor estimate. But, I do chain vape and was only a 2 pack a day smoker. I would say a 10ml on averaged would only be equal to about 3 packs from my experience. -

It's not about not supporting American Venders. I can show receipts of how I have spent over 5-8 times as much with American venders than I have with the 3 orders I have received from fast tech. It is about saving some money on things that I have no problem waiting for. Some of which can't be bought from American vendors. My IGOs were, yes, bought from fast tech saving $50 over getting then from an American Vendor. That's not just a couple bucks. When I volume buy, I will compare prices just like any American Vendor does. If I want it yesterday and I need it that bad, I will be the first one to hit Sweet Vapes, LiteEcig, ..etc

I have noticed the coil loosening up a bit in the base from doing refills, I check that first now before pulling the pin out a tad. Not sure why it happens but just another thing to check.

I have the Gun Metal finish and it is also wearing off. I don't mind so much I do use it every where I go. I have also knocked off my desk a few times and just pick it up and vape on. I have noticed an issue with the flat top batteries in it, but a small magnet was all I needed to make it work flawlessly. Basically turns my flattops into button tops. These magnets were picked up at the auto parts store in the bargain bin 8pk for $1.00 about 6mm by 3mm. Almost the same sticking power of rare earth magnets.

Just so you know they recently posted that will no longer send things through HK post as this has been happening a lot as of late. They are now going through Singapore (sp) instead.

I have both the Vamo 5 and the SID. I must say I like Vamo better.

Welcome to VT I drove truck for 13 years, hurt my back and had to give it up. I miss being on the road. It gets in your blood. Who do drive for? I was Owner Operator running with FTI and Economy Transport. Just keep the dirty side down and hide your comic book

Unless she is the one in charge of ordering, then I would have to chalk it up to ignorance. Just giving the benefit of doubt. But, I must say I have seen a few web sites that try and pass off clones as the real deal. This when you knowing what you looking at goes a long way in getting what you want and getting duped. What is real bad is when a web site posts photos of the real deal and then send you a clone. Fast Tech is one place guilty of that. Look at the Chi You for example. They show a pic of the real ma-coy. when in fact is it a clone. They do though tell you it is a clone.
