Possible clogged up KPT2?
Compenstine replied to spydre's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
The rubber grommet at the bottom where the connection pin fits into the coil head is compressing and cutting off the air flow. I had this happen once and just changing out the coil did the trick. Not sure why the new coil is also doing it. Try pulling the connection pin out a bit and reattaching it to your unit. -
That's where buying over time and having a rotation comes in. If you have a rotation routine going you can have some steeping while your vaping what has been steeped. When a bottle is steeped and ready to vape is when you order a new bottle so your having it steep while your enjoying the one that is ready to go.

Like has been said, Blend away just make sure you use your math or a juice calculator to know what the nic level will be. Otherwise the sky is the limit with DIY juice.
-
Don't guess at Nic levels when mixing!!!!!! You can go to a drug store or Wally world and get some USP Glycerin and cut with that but it will cut the flavor. You need to let it steep for around 5 days for that flavor not to taste so muted. But, that will cut the flavor in half to get to 12mg and not be worth the trouble. Is your 6 meg the same flavor or just a tobacco flavor? 2 parts 6mg to 1 part 24mg will give you 12mg 1 part 24mg to 1 part 6mg (50/50) will give you 15mg.

The Vamo will take a smaller battery, The SID will not unless you spend extra for the conversion tube.
-
Oh and if you go with the Vamo I recommend 18650 button tops
-
It is long yes, but the SID seems to feel fatter in my hand. Funny part is there is only a 1mm difference between the two. SID being the fatter unit. The Vamo is about 1/2in taller than SID.
-
You are right I stand corrected. I just re-looked at the Data sheet. I'm not sure where I thought the 12 went sub ohm but heh pays to read this stuff when I'm not so tired. I really don't see how the watts could be that big of issue. Just saying. For someone that was realllllly wanting to cloud chase I could, but for me anyway, it wouldn't matter that much that it only went to 11.5 watts.
-
I like the way the Vamo feels in my hand no issues with tanks not fitting just right. Treads are cleaner, Feels like a more durable unit, All my batts fit in the tube. The SID has issues with any of the Efeast over 1500mah. drops connection frequently, made of aluminum so it seems less durable. Some tanks move back an forth in the threads. Seems to give less vapor than the Vamo on the same setting.

Your welcome glad to help

Don't wash your coils in Dawn dishliquid

I just don't like the thought of those chems being on my atty. I'll stick with Alcohol if need and dry burning. After all it's not set of dentures or a E-bubblecig . LOL -
I got my SID from LiteEcig they have a color choice $45.95. Having said that, I also have a Vamo 5 and like it more than the SID.

I looked up the Shark Tank it is a Kanger Pro 2 tank clone. It uses that same coil heads and works the same. So, the coil unscrews out of the base and as you stated you have changed it before. 1: Take the coil out of the base. At the bottom of the coil you will see a red rubber grommet, pull the pin out just a hair. don't pull it all the way out just a hair. 2; Clean the the threads inside of the base and on the coil head. 3: Put the coil back in the base, make sure when you put the coil back in that it is snug and not loose. If the coil is loose it can drop connection to the battery. 4: Clean all the threads on the tank and your device with a paper towel 5: Reattach the Tank to your device, this should eliminate any connection problems. As your battery gets low on charge it will give you less vapor. Make sure you have a fresh battery in our device. (A faulty coil can act the same way) If this fixes the problem Great! If Not, it may be that your battery is not making good connection inside the device. Take out the Battery clean all the connections (Pencil erasers work well for cleaning these connections) reassemble and try again. If that doesn't work Replace the coil with a new one. Some coil heads even a brand new one can be faulty. If all of this still don't fix the issue I'm at a loss as to what to do next. My guess at that point is that the controller board may be faulty and that can not be fixed.
-
ok, what are you using for a atomizer... tank? Could be connection issue. but still sounds like a faulty coil. Can you set the display to show resistance? Also try swapping out batteries.

Fast Tech has a huge selection of drip tips, just don't expect fast delivery. Normal time is about 3-4 weeks.

TEMCo has a big sale going 50% off all Kanthal & Nicro wire I grabbed some. Nichrome Wire 32 Gauge RW0028 - 100 FT 0.29oz Series 60 Resistance AWG Flat Ribbon Kanthal Wire RW0324 - 0.5 x 0.1 mm (0.197 x 0.004 in) 100 FT 0.36oz Series A-1 Resistance Kanthal Wire 32 Gauge RW0099 - 500 FT 1.24oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG Kanthal Wire 30 Gauge RW0109 - 500 FT 1.93oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG Kanthal Wire 28 Gauge RW0120 - 500 FT 3.07oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG -
I used the 112s for dripping and stove piped it. My favorite setup back then was a 112 bat and a 510 or 901 atty.
-
When was the last time you changed the coil?
-
Welcome Tam, When I saw the sale I knew people would want to know. Yeah get some practice in first you'll build better coils in the long run that way and find that after a while you have little waste. Edit This is what I grabbed, should be enough to keep me in coils for a few years LOL Nichrome Wire 32 Gauge RW0028 - 100 FT 0.29oz Series 60 Resistance AWG Flat Ribbon Kanthal Wire RW0324 - 0.5 x 0.1 mm (0.197 x 0.004 in) 100 FT 0.36oz Series A-1 Resistance Kanthal Wire 32 Gauge RW0099 - 500 FT 1.24oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG Kanthal Wire 30 Gauge RW0109 - 500 FT 1.93oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG Kanthal Wire 28 Gauge RW0120 - 500 FT 3.07oz Series A-1 Resistance AWG

Yes the 28 is better for micros. I just built a coil 12 wraps twisted 28 gauge it is 1.1ohms
-
Yes but unless your palnning on doing some fancy builds, micro coils and such, I would go with a 500 foot 30 gauge and only 100 to 250 feet of the 28ga. 30 and 32 ga work best in the pro tanks. The 28 is a little thick and you need a good 12 wraps to get your resistance right. Coils that size won't fit in a Pro Tank.
