VW/VV To Mechanical Mod Device Suggestions
Compenstine replied to hoodlums562's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Yes bass is good. If you want SS then get that, I did. I prefer real brass or SS. I will say the Gold ones are not solid brass, they are plated SS. I don't think they make a solid brass Magneto model. With brass you really need to be careful with the threads because of it being a softer metal. -
VW/VV To Mechanical Mod Device Suggestions

I have the same one a lot less, Magneto I have seen them on sale as low as $35. Google it and shop around. Edit: I have the SS model that I use and love it. I got it on sale for $44.95 around Christmas time from here. -
I'm in the same boat with a China order, but yeah I know it will get here. It was shipped out 1 day before everything shut down. Hit China Post and there it sits till after New Year. Oh Well, that's life.

How a..bout creating? I'm working on a base vanilla that if all goes well I'll be able to create some really creamy juice. The site and discount issues have me on edge, I figured I would calm nerves and create

I was always one of the nerds that actually excelled at chemistry. Back in my kid days you could buy chemistry sets and I had a few of them. lol Yeah Ammonia and Bleach is deadly. I think Troy can do what he needs to do He has been mixing a while. I would not suggest a beginner to get 100% nic If you don't want to mute a flavor you need as little added as possible to get the % you want. As far as a little home DIY: Working with 100% NIC, you need gloves. Basic common sense when mixing is required. Nicotine is the only thing that could cause you harm. It is why I test all my base NIC mixes and wear gloves. Recap everything thing as you go to avoid a spill. kitsune said it right, "just a few basic precautions and its not too tough." But most of all, just take some time and read up on what your working with before you start. If someone is doing home DIY they should use no more than a 36% NIC base. If your Vaping 12-6mg Use 18mg Nic Base. I'm Rambling

Yeah sounds like better pins than I had. The pic shows brass the one sent had aluminum. The pic I posted is a new pic as well. The old pic they had up was a of a real Chi You that has brass pins. LOL Said Clone in the heading, so I wasn't sure what I would get when I ordered. Nope, no tobacco juice yet, mind you is say Yet I have only found 2 tobacco flavors that are FDA approved for human consumption. I will start with those if I can get a good 555 out them I will.... Want to do an RY4 as well. Hope to have it open for juice sales sometime today (1/28). Link in Sig. VVVVVVV -
I would get some 100% 50/50 and use that for a cut. That way a little bit is all you need to add so you don't dilute the flavor.

Yes I did the one I posted a pic of from Fast teck -
The Fisherman's mod is awesome and so is the Ashland Tent Mod. 2 Mods I just have to have to play Morrowind. I created a Mod to go with the Fisherman's Mod that gave me a dock to park my ship. I called it the Lighthouse Mod. There is also a boat house wih a fish I called Barter Sauce that will transport you and has unlimited storage and gold. Just don't go in the water, it will kill you in one bite. LOL I have no idea if it is still out there for download.

Top and bottom caps. They are screws. It will make more sense when you have it in your hand. Just hope you don't get the clone that does not have the adjustable pins. -

Sounds cool I'm working on a build that goes outside the box and will not be a tube either. That's all I want to say about till it is built, then I'll show it off. If this turns out the way I have it planed out I will be building a limited edition run of them. -

Just a suggestion... When you get the Chi-You clone it has aluminum contacts and very poor conductivity. Hit the hardware store and grab some SS replacements. I would have got brass but they didn't have the size that fit. -

Just me, but I would get the original when it comes to the DNA 20. After all I have seen building computers I wouldn't do a clone on a PCB. -

Fast Tech has the Chi You clone, but you need to wait till the end of Feb. to order, Chinese New Year. It's ok has all the adjusting pins I hate the button switch as it sticks. 101vapes has the Turtle Ship Mod. Don't know about the quality. If your looking for a good Manual MOD look at the Magneto. It is Nice and has the magnetic switch for around the same price as both of the clones your looking at. -

Evolv has not had them available for months. I picked my DNA 20 at the House Of Vapor. I don't know of any vendor that has the DNA 30d for sale that isn't out of stock. -

The cost of these chips alone are as much as most standard VV/VW mods like the Vamo, SID..etc. You can't buy a Ferrari for the cost of of a Toyota. If you want a less expensive DNA 20 or 30 you would need to buy the chip and build one. Sorry but that is the only way. Doing a wood Mod would be the less expensive route. There are several people doing them and there are tutorials with parts lists available. -
Guy At Work Asked Me For A Lighter And....

I still need them around for lighting bonfires and the BBQ. I also need it to light my combo torch soldiering pen. To useful not to have one around. My problem is finding it when I need it. LOL -
I'm a flavor chaser, so long as I get as much vapor as I would smoke from an analog I'm happy. Most times now though my vapor is more than the smoke I would get from an analog.

Dropped my Vamo V3, now it's dead.
Compenstine replied to mydartswinger's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
After dropping my V5 a few times it is acting a little quirky. I have to sometimes click it 7 times to get it on. Also, I found that the seam had separated a bit not allowing the battery to make good contact. I could not get any flat top to work. I now use only button top batteries in it and that solved most of the problems. -
Like I said on another group, the spices are not a gimmick they are there for steeping and will only intensify the flavor over time.
