It's all about the Ohms. If the ohms are below 1.2 it will not fire. If it is a True short it may be that the tanks coil is shorting out and your friend is in need of a better multimeter.

Ok so this is a little early but I figured I would get the topic started. This will be a DNA 30 MOD and matching Stand project. For those already showing interest in the MOD I'll be doing, here is a sneak peak at the wood I will be using. This is 1st Gen Mahogany. The camera is dated late 20s early 30s (honestly don't remember the exact date) I will post the exact date later as I find the piece that it is on. Original Camera as it is, This is only 1 of 4 pieces to this camera. Originally it was used in a print shop to make copies. So Yes, it is an original Xerox LOL. The Camera is only valued at about $200 as a camera The wood is worth Way more than the camera so I have no problem using it for this project. This is a section that I lightly sanded and gave it a coat of Linseed oil to protect it. This is the original finish also with some Linseed oil to bring out the grain and sheen. This picture does not really do it Justice! I hope to start working on this very soon, I'm just waiting for the weather to warm up so I can use my shop in comfort. LOL I have most of the parts and will be starting it even though I'm still looking for everything I need.

And... for every pair ordered now before my shipment of plastic cases come in, you will get a free storage case for each pair. Your choice of red, blue, or yellow sent to when they arrive. That reminds me I need to add that option. -
I started turning gray at 16 by the time I was 30ish I was full on salt and pepper LOL.

It could very well be a legit Sony and just defective.

I use a dremel and a pair of hemos.

I'm loving them. They are a pain to twist but one you get the knack down it is not so bad. For a KPT build, Frigging Awesome even at 1.2ohms

Please post a pic of the battery and show where it is getting darkened.

Rebuilt this on my IGO W4. This is the same wire that was on my Trident in the twisted coil thread. I just unwrapped it and recoiled it for the IGO. I did not like the way I had to set up on the Trident after busting the post. It was not acting right either. Trident is now in the scrap parts bin.

Welcome to VT you will find a lot of helpful people here. Been doing DIY for over 4 years now.

Takes about 5-8 draws and the bland goes away in my KPT builds. 1-2 draws in my RDA builds.

Need advice - want high end VV/VW Mod

That is a nice looking Mod! -
Yeap this is where I ordered mine from to do the rebuilt coils. It seems to be the problem with a tight draw. When that rubber gets to hot it will weaken and plug the air holes.

Unless you have actually had a B&M store, any store not just vaping, you don't understand all the expense involved. This is one reason why I went with a Web Site and not a store front expense are less, but they are not eliminated.

Haven't tried a KPT yet. They kinda look like they may be chromed. I did this on a chromed mod and it was a big mistake. -
It is, back in the day (4 years ago) this what was done before we had all these nice mods we have now. All the Tube mods we use today have there roots in Flashlight mods.

Head to the site I posted they have them
-
Yes they are and I know a source for those from my other hobby of micro robotics Mouser Electronics

The Fluke comes with leads for that, but I could add alligator clip leads that would work
