I just want to follow up that so far I am EXTREMELY pleased with the responses from both TrueSmoker and Vaprlife. I am at work now and suspect by the time I get home Arno will have an answer to me as well. The fact everyone has responded so quickly and is willing to look into things speaks volumes about their credibility and customer service ethic. Also, I was pretty hot last night when I fired that post off and should have just posted about the various performance from the 801s. The Vapre 51 seems to be a fluke and I should have just handled that with the guys at TrueSmoker. Arno has been nothing short of.... Awesome. He has provided me with great customers service, and I am leaning towards the fact that they are just as vulnerable as the customers as to the quality of the 801s. It is sooo frustrating that we and the vendors are stuck in this situation. I am fully on board that we need someone in the states creating a solid reliable product. I would pay more for an Addy that consistently performs. I am going to go under the hood this weekend and see what I can see. Last thing, can anyone tell me if there is a way to identify the different 801s? Looks like some of them have a model or part number where the battery hooks up, but with my old eyes, I will need a magnifying glass to read it. Should I bother? Do those numbers mean anything? Big thanks once more to Vaprlife and Truesmoker, I hope people read through all this and see the results, which will likely make me a regular for all of these sites. Jeso, Thanks for the offer. I emailed TrueSmoker about the Vapre 51 after posting and they have offered to replace the questionable Vapre. I will be sending it back to them over the weekend. VERY VERY fast response time!! And are standing behind the product I will give the cleaning a go on my 801's and also take off the black bands to see if I can tell a difference in them. I can't say enough about this one addy, it just crushes everything else I have tried with e-cigs. Also, I think it is time I tried some mods. Anything I find with 2 holes will meet the drill this weekend. I am not sure if it is the air flow or the atomizer part that makes this one so good, but I will be finding out. I LOVE the VP1 and this addy. Thanks for opening my eyes to what vaping should be like. Also, big Kudos for TrueSmoker to respond so quick and to offer a replacement! That means a lot! Diggs

I just posted a big rant that kind of deals with this topic. I would have to say the performance of the 801 differs greatly on where you get it and what you get. I just got one (801) with my VP1 from Vaprlife that is stunning. I cannot believe the difference in this 801 and my other EIGHT 801 addys I own. I was just on the verge of asking why many like the 801. Prior to receiving this one atomizer, I thought the 901 was superior in vapor production. Not now. The 901 is great, they seem consistent and simple to work with. The 801s till now would show glimpses of greatness, like one good toke, but then followed by a very lame toke. This new one just rolls out the vapor every time as long as the power is good and the liquid is there. Heck, it even creates good vapor with the Johnson Creek Liquid which has been hit and miss for me. I received 2 addys with the VP1 and only one of the two produces vapor in mass. The toke resistance is very very different with this one and all the others I have as well. It is very easy to draw from it. Chris told me the good 4 hole 801 addys are like a straw. That is a very close description to this one that works so well, very simple to draw through. Also, this one wonder 801 will produce vapor clouds on an automatic battery, manual battery, USB PT or the VP1. The VP1 is really impressive. Sad to say my Vapre 51 which is the exact same thing wasn't impressive at all. Hoping to hear back from true smoker to get that resolved. Anyway, I have 2 901 kits, only tried one so far and the addy I have for it and the 2 batts have been pretty good. A bit short on life, but it was up until today the most consistent E-cig I had owned. But this 801 has shocked me to no end. I want more of these. If I can find them and a way to confirm what I am getting, I will get plenty. Diggs

I should have made my huge post here, but figured I would just make a new post with the same info. This area seems to get way more traffic and I would like some input from everyones experiences especially with 801 atomizers. If the reposting of all this info is against the rules, please delete it, or my other original post. Here it goes, it is a bit long. Well after about a month of vaping today I get completely blown away. I get 3 shipments delivered to my home today while at work. One is my VP1 from Vaprlife, which I wasn't that excited about after getting my Vapre 51 earlier in the week. I thought the Vapre and the VP2 units were the same, then after I get my Vapre 51, I see from the instructions it is from vaprlife and is a VP1 I tried out the Vapre 51 that came from truesmoker, and was really wondering WTF is all the rave about. It sucks! I am not getting vapor like I get from a regular automatic batt. I charged the batts overnight and find that one of them is just DOA and the other doesn't really last that much longer than using the same addy on a stock batt. I assumed the VP1 from vapor life would have the same output. I will say that Truesmoker included an extra addy, which seemed to be the low bridge aka 4 hole that Arno sells. I noticed it pulled easier, but not like a straw that I had seen mentioned here before. Well, it wasn't any different than the others I had, but was easier to draw on than the other 2 addys that came with it. Today, I break into the VP1 from Vaprlife and it has 4 batts in it!! wow, so I try to charge them and the light comes on green, hmmm, this is what the dead one did before. So I put another on, red then green. So I give one a go in the new VP1 with some Ruyan4 that came from Heaven-Gifts. Holy momma!!! It draws like a straw and I came close to choking for the first time ever with vapor production. This thing kicks like a mule I expected the exact same results as the Vapre 51 since they are identical units less the cool etching on the vapre. I try the other addy that came with it and it is hard to draw from and doesn't come close to vapor production. So I try some other flavors in this new addy and wow, great flavor and huge vapor until I try the "French Pipe" from Heaven Gifts. BLEH!!! It taste like rose pedal soup or something. NOW I can't get that flavor to go away after a good 2 hours of vaping through my only 801 that kicks bootay. So, what gives? I have 9, yes NINE 801 addys. 2 from Arno, and 3 from TrueSmoker, 2 from Vaprlife and 2 from Rocky Mountain Vapor and of these 9 addys only one really works well. I had about written off the 801 and declared the 901 the king of E-Cigs, but now..... I am just confused. So do you have to buy 10 addys to get one good one? I see all these vids and reviews from people and they exhale clouds of vapor. After a month, I finally find ONE addy that does just that. It does it on a standard batt, USB PT and the VP1. It simply is what Vaping should be like. So, how do you insure to get a good 801 addy with the smooth easy straw like draw and not this other $#!7 I have bought from the other vendors?? It is CRAP and I have a good $100 worth of JUNK sitting here. Also, I have tried the good addy on the Vapre 51, and it SUCKS *** still. I never do this, but I am very frustrated, so I invite some feedback from the vendors I am about to beat down. 1. The most expensive let down first. I have to wonder if the 510s I have are defective. They have never really produced now that I see what vapor production is like. They shipped fast and had good pricing and I never used their service, so I can't speak for that. But the lack of vapor is really concerning. This is speculation and unless I can test it against another known good 510, it will remain that way. However, I have yet to recommend a 510 and won't till I see one produce anything like the 901, which does pretty darn good. The two 801 addys and USB PT I got from here are garbage. They are very hard to draw through and the USB PT killed one addy because it just stayed on even with the button being up and not pressed. So, the 510s, Not sure about. The 801's I can say are crap as is their USB PT unit. ------- For the flip side. 1. VaprLife.com, I don't know whether to praise you or damn you The VP1 and one of the addys that came with it are simply amazing! The batt life seems good and the vapor production is just insane. It looks like what I see from Chris and Sean and Grim Green and the Fedora dude. Big puffy billowy clouds on exhale. A smooth easy draw from the addy and with lots of flavor. This 801 addy is simply the best purchase I have made to date. I would have been happy with just getting this addy and no VP1 just to see the difference in quality and performance. Now I feel like I have been cheated on every other E-cig purchase I have made, well over $200 in kits and addys. This addy has spoiled me and I want more. If you can promise me and deliver more of these, I would gladly pay more for them. HELL, I would pay double just not to have to buy 10 addys to get one good one. The VP1 unit you shipped me works great also! I LOVE THIS THING. It concerns me though that the Vapre 51 is so different even though the instructions even say VP1. I might have received a bad one, but the difference is night and day. I am curious if others find any differences. I will say you currently OWN my business for parts. I have noticed that the Penstyle/801 tips vary a lot when it comes to rigidity. Some of the tapered tips are flexible, while others are very stiff plastic. Anyway to tell what you are buying before you buy it? I can always send an email to the vendor, but curious if there is just a way to tell by part number or description. I would like to find the longer ones that come with the 801 for the 901 and 510 as well. I think I have some like what was linked to at DietSmokes and they aren't as long or thin as the ones that come with the 801. Diggs

Yeah, I have been trying for 2 weeks to get a USB PT from PS. I want the 801 version and an adapter so I can use it on my 901s as well. Which brings up some questions. If you have the 801 to 901 adapter for a PT, is there any reason you can't use 801 batts on the 901 using the same adapter? I would think this would also allow you to charge the 801 batts on a 901 charger also? Anyone tried this or have input? Thanks, Diggs

LOL, from your avatar I was expecting the loss to be from boxing. Ok, I have been wondering about something on cleaning addys for a while and I am just going to toss it out there. I owned a water pipe many years ago. Nope, it wasn't for tobacco use either. But it would get very nasty pretty quick. There was a product back in those days designed to clean water pipes / bongs called "Grunge Off". I have no idea if this product is still around, but it did what it was designed to do very very well. The only place you could find Grunge Off then was at shops that sold bongs and pipes and such. 1. Do they still make this stuff? 2. Has anyone tried it? 3. Did it work? 4. Would this be safe to use on an addy? With all that said, I think the denture tabs might be an easier way to go. And it's readily available. Think I will steal a few from my father and test it out this weekend. Diggs

I vape way more often than I smoked. I just love the taste. I do still sneak an analog from time to time, but I am good with that. 2-3 a week maybe and that is way better than a pack a day! Diggs

If you shop around a bit, you will find some liquids don't create much vapor. My purchase of Johnson Creek liquid seemed to have this problem. Before I was told I could vape in the office, I used the JC to sneak a vape now and then. It is very easy to hide the vapor exhale. I thought something was wrong with my 510 because I rarely exhaled any vapor with their liquid. I personally wouldn't mind the lack of vapor for those situations and use the JC liquids for that purpose still. Although, I have noticed that the JC liquid tends to vape much better in my 901 and 801. If JC would make their flavors stronger, I would still buy their product for stealth purposes. Although, now that I vape in my cube, I am getting flavor fatigue and can't really taste the flavor of the liquids I have at night. I taste it, but it is very very subdued. Diggs

I started at age 15. Purely peer pressure. I grew up in a small town and we rode bikes and motorcycles and would gather near the train tracks almost daily after school. Some started bringing cigs and we ALL stole them from our parents at the time. It was something to do and you did it to fit into the crowd. I am 43 and in the late 70's and early 80's smoking wasn't shunned nearly like it is today. Both of my parents smoked, all their friends did or didn't object to others smoking, it was just accepted by society. It was almost like everyone did it and was expected to do it. I started working for Winn Dixie at 16 and bought my first carton at 16. I remember my father approaching me when he found a carton in my car, but it wasn't a big deal. Basically he said "Don't let your mother know". Hell, I think she already did know. Society during those times had a huge influence. Also, 13 is about the time you really get some freedom from the parents and have the ability to make some very bad choices on your own. I knew what I was doing, I knew it was addictive and potentially deadly. I used to try to get my parents to quit before I started, so I obviously understood the side effects of smoking. There are several things I would change in my life, but I must say I very much admire Jeff, the one kid in our group of friends that never took a cig and really didn't take any abuse for not taking one. I wish now I would have followed his lead. And I think given a choice to change any part of my life, I might select that moment and turn down the cig. Diggs

Ok, I have watched it and let me just confirm. Did he like it? I have to say Dulcis is currently at the top of my list of liquids!!It is not as sweet as an RY4, but has a similar but better flavah. My Vapre 51 shipped Friday, can't wait to try it in that IF puresmoker would just get their USB PTs in stock, I would have one on the way. MAH rating is not a problem. As long as the battery will fit, it could be 36000mah and still work just fine. That would rock actually since it would last almost a lifetime, but I think it would be about the size of a bulls *** Diggs

Has anyone tried Juicy Vapors liquids? Is this what people refer to as Juicy Juice? I picked up a few flavors today, they have one of the nicest selections I have seen. Roasted Almond, Hazelnut and Amaretto are a few I am going to try. OH, and butternut rum sounded good, got one of those too. I have to say that Dulcis in my 901 is rockin today. I see more orders of VT liquids in the future. I also have a follow up on Vermont Vapor. They botched my order. I had ordered several sample size bottles and only one large bottle of tobacco, but I got one large bottle of mocha instead and it is only 5mg I emailed them last night around 10 PM and had a response before 11pm and a notice this morning the correction had been shipped. WOW! That is some quick service. No request for the incorrect bottle to be shipped back, no questions asked, just blam here ya go and we are very sorry. I have to say I hope they make more errors in the future Diggs

So So true!! I love being free of the tobacco. It took me a few weeks to hit that point, but now I am full on E-Cigs. I think if I was without E-cigs I would revert back to analogs, but I hope I never have to face that. I am in the lazy group also. I blow out the addy now and then, but not daily. Although I do need to read up on doing a full cleaning so I can get the old liquid and flavors out of the addy. I get hints of other flavors from liquids I had vaped before. Diggs

Great, I am enjoying the Dulcis myself. Funny the more I vape the more I find myself open to non tobacco flavors. You guys need a variant of the RY 4 and I agree on the larger bottles. I hope the biz kicks in for you. You have a very good product. I think I am going to have to try the Mentha. I tried the JC menthol and kinda liked it even though I disliked menthol analogs. I think the VT and the awesome vapor liquids are my favorites so far. AV has more flavors, but I am sure VT will have plenty. The Grape soda reviews were pretty good that I saw. Diggs

So, like I have mentioned in some other threads, I now have my E-cig in my mouth almost constantly at work. I do this with the 510 with the manaul batt so it doesn't kick in when I draw on it and sometimes I take the batt off so it is lighter and I don't have to hold it in my clinched teeth. My bossman just stopped by and said "it must be nice to be able to smoke in the office now with that Electronic thing?" I told him that I don't activate it in the office I just keep it in my mouth to help fight the habit. He says "Why don't you smoke it, its not smoke, there is no fire and no tobacco". I didn't argue and mentioned to him my concerns about the stigma attached to E-cigs due to analogs and the fact the new campus will be tobacco free. He said he will even take it to HR for me since he works with them all the time (management stuff) and see what their take is on it. Well, I am pleased to say the least. I am expecting HR to fully shut it down, but still for now I am golden to vape in my cube! He is extremely well respected here in our office and throughout the company so I have the right person representing my side of this. And he is so excited that I am not smoking analogs anymore. He said good, hopefully I can work with you now till retirement when I told him I had switched. The same guy refused to marry his wife till she quit the habit of analogs as well, which she did and they have been married for a good 10 years or so. He is anti smoking in a big way, doesn't lean on you about it, but is really pro vaping after seeing the changes it has brought to me. Anyway, I hope others run into similar experiences. With all the sillyness w/ the government/FDA/Antismoking groups, it is nice to see an everyday person can understand the benefits. Diggs

I got my VT Dulcis in day before yesterday and have been testing it out. I have kinda tainted all my addys it seems with other juices, so I need to study up on cleaning some this weekend so I can get an untainted taste on all this stuff I have bought. I have to say though after a couple of days of use, I like the dulcis. I am mixing it though to get a flavor I like even more. The Awesome Vapor RY 4 keeps pulling me in but it is too sweet. I have been mixing it with the Dulcis and that is pretty darn good. Although, as best I can tell the Dulcis stands on its own better than anything I have found so far. My Vermont Vapor order hasn't arrived yet, and I hope to see it today. Awesome vapor and Diet Smokes have had the fastest shipping to my location so far followed by Rocky Mountain vapor. Johnson Creek (JC) was very fast as well, but I had written off their liquid due to the lack of vapor production and lack of flavor, although it STILL has the best flavor I have found of any juices. But, I think I found a use for my JC liquids. I use it w/ my 510 when I want a stealth vape. I have a tendency to keep an ecig in my mouth at work all day now. If I put JC in it and take a drag it is basically invisible, but I get a little flavor and it curves my cravings to go down to the "Smoking area". I have a large order coming in from both Vermont Vapor and Heaven-Gifts (formerly Ryunan Direct). I also am waiting for my VP setup and my Vapre 51. I am trying to change my order to a VP1-901 with Vaprlife, but haven't gotten a response from them yet. Since the VP2 and the vapre 51 are practically identical, I figured I would try the smaller VP1. Well, I will continue to update what I find here. Hope others do as well. Like I mentioned before, the right juice is just as important as the right e-cig. Shocked more people don't participate in this thread. Diggs

I just tried and had a few odd things happen. The price on the site has a tendency to change in your cart to a higher price. Not all items do this, but I noticed some of the liquids priced at $5.40 when added to the cart would increase to $7.20 or so. Still, pretty darn cheap for 50ml. Minimum order is $30.00, so I added several items and tried to go through the checkout process. After providing all my info, at the end I had the option of paypal or a direct bank transaction . I don't have a problem with PayPal, use it all the time, but if you chose this method they tack on another 5% Still a very good price IF the liquid is any good at all. So I tried to do a paypal checkout and it routed me to what appears to be the German PayPal website. At that point I just closed my tab on the order and gave up. Would like to see how it goes for others. Diggs

Yep, Why settle? I found Vermont Vapor today, another USA based Juice provider. Got several sample flavors from them and a big bottle of their tobacco. I am low on juice I like, so I am hoping he Dulcis turns up tomorrow. I like the idea of supporting a USA company, but wont do it if their products are inferior. I need to start selling off my rejects on liquid. I have a lot of JC samples and big bottles and some awesome vapor 555 and I doubt they will ever get used. Tested all of them except for the large JC liquids since I know how they taste and vape. Searching for the right one is kinda fun, but it is getting into my wallet. Funny people taste different things from the same liquids. Diggs

I have yet to find THE liquid. I have the VT Dulcis on the way, and I am hoping it is the one. For flavor, I really like the JC original smoke juice, but I just can't deal with its lack of vapor and the subtle flavor. I just tried a few flavors from Awesome Vapor the the RY-4 is tasty, but not something I can do all the time. I have yet to find a nutty tobacco flavor that is similar to the JC smoke juice. I tried the 555 from Awesome Vapor, and it vapes great like all their liquids I have tried, but I didn't like the taste. I am surprised this thread isn't more active. I have found that most of the E-cigs work well when the right liquid is used. Yes, there are differences in their performance, but a poor vaping liquid in a good addy is just as bad as a poor performing addy with really good liquid IMO. Diggs

It would be ordered but their site is jacked up. Grimm did a follow up review and just loved the prodigy USB PT! Their site won't allow me to select adapters for it, so I sent an email letting them know of the problem and hope to order it this weekend. I would be very happy to get a USB PT for both my 901 and 801 that is on the way from Arno! I can't really describe how crappy the stock PTs are. This one looks solid and appear from the vids to really kick out some powah, which equals big vapor w/o having to deal with a battery. Thank you so much for the link to the vid. Diggs

Soon I will be able to put in an informed opinion here. I have an 801/901/VP2 and Vapre 51 all on order. I would like input on the big honkin USB PT from puresmoker. http://www.puresmoker.com/category_s/51.htm The one I have for my 801 SUCKS!! It works, but barely. Button gets locked down, timeout is fast and sometimes it just stays on constantly even with the LED off!! UGH, this thing really doesn't seem safe. Not sure how hot it would get before it just destroyed the addy on my 801, but I am keeping an eye on it. The one from puresmoker looks to be of great quality, but I would just like to know how well it works before I buy one. Funny coming from someone that just laid down a Benjamin on the Vapre that is really untested. Diggs
