  1. Please forgive me for this question if you know better... but I have to make sure. You know the cartos on the inside are disposable, and instead of buying a new tank, you can just replace the carto on the inside, right? I read what you are saying as you threw out the tank because you destroyed the carto, and I just want to make sure that isn't the case.... How are you filling the tank? Where did you buy the tank? Can you provide a link? What you are describing should not be happening at all, and everything points to the carto being the problem, and not the tank or the Lavatube...
  2. I think Ginger's is the brand name of Vapor Room juices
  3. If that's the case, I don't WANT to see it...
  4. It's definitely not the Lavatube - nothing about how it functions has anything to do with the amount of juice that soaks in the carto in a tank. So rest easy - your unit is fine. If you are using a tank carto, you shouldn't be getting so much juice in the carto that it is that saturated. At least, not in my experience. When you look inside the carto, does the filler look absolutely soaked, or is it mostly white? Are you punching the cartos yourself? If so, how "little" are the holes? Are you using a tip on the carto of any kind? Are you using the XL cartos? A little extra space at the top should help with the liquid spitting up in your mouth. Sorry to ask so many questions, just trying to figure out the actual source of the problem.
  5. Oh, I understand how that works - I definitely don't blame the vendor. I just think it is silly. MAPs are important - vendors are understandably unhappy if other vendors undercut them, and don't want to invest in an inventory if people will buy it elsewhere. But that price should be set at a reasonable level - and with vaping gear, sometimes that isn't the case for kits.
  6. Thanks for the info. With no coupon, I went to White Stag and built my own kit. I spent enough for free shipping. I got 2 batteries (with caps, I presume) 1 tank atomizer 1 LEO Mini USB Retractable charging cable 1 5 pack of tank cartridges 1 5 pack of DCCs 1.5ohm Total cost - $88.75 If you take out the extra battery and the cartos, the total cost would have been $46.80 - over $10 cheaper, and all I am missing is the wall adaptor. I've got no idea why the kits are so expensive when you can piece them together like this at a discount...
  7. Forget your honeymoon, my vaping needs are more important! Thanks for the help man.
  8. Yup! Any word on a coupon code? I've decided to make my own "kit" but if I can save a few bucks, you bet I will...
  9. You are going to have to give me a link to the Sterling Vapor battery you are seeing, because when I pull up the site, they show $25.
  10. You mistake - I want ONE cap . I would just use a normal USB cable to charge the thing, yes, but I kind of do at least want to try the tank atty, in addition to the cartos. Plus if they are $25 at Sterling, and $25 at White Stag, and only the latter has the cap, I'll get the cap tossed in! Now I am trying to figure out if they have some kind of coupon code before I purchase.... Never bought from them before.
  11. Just kidding - I'm actually a little aroused. But you did ask...
  12. Huzzah! I am really torn. I keep going back and forth between getting one of these, or just buying a new battery. So $59.99 is the MAP huh? Damn that's high...
  13. I decided that I can't worry about this - as much as I wanted to. I realize that as little as I am actually home, if I wanted to charge my batteries, it was going to have to be unattended. And why pull them out when you are sleeping? How many people actually sit there and watch their charger for hours until it is done? I pop mine in the charger, and go do things in another room. How am I going to notice something is amiss that way? I'm getting close to "outrage" at this point. If you don't want government regulation, prove you can handle it. We should know exactly what caused these explosions, and know what the manufacturers are doing about it. Do we still not know what kind of mod the first guy had? Why not? Is anyone even trying to find out? I'm actually pretty angry about this at this point. The silence on the matter is deafening.
  14. That's not bad at all. Now we need to see the replacement tanks and tank atty prices
  15. I think Bob hit it on the head. If you can't afford the Ipro, get a Lavatube. But if you can afford it, you will love an Ipro.
  16. I will echo the love of the drip shield - that thing never, ever leaks.
  17. I'm not a big fan of the battery coming with the cover... I really wouldn't need any more than 2 of those. Maybe a great promotion at first, but I have little doubt I'd be using cartos on that eventually, rendering the cap obsolete. I'd love to check this thing out, but at $60, I think I am going to wait...
  18. And right there lies the problem. I am most likely to drip at my desk - where I am working on something. When I am at my desk working on something, I chain vape. Hell, I chain vape most of the time, but there it is particularly bad. Looks like I need to buy another damned atty. Damn it!
  19. The only REAL problem I am having is the temperature. The juice in the mouth? If I am careful, I can avoid that. The rest is just dripping, save the heat. It scared the hell out of me when my IPro heated up like that. Made me feel better when I realized it was just the atty, but hell - I don't even get to add more drops before the drip shield is too hot to touch. I got some good draws when dripping. Like 1/4 of the time, it was a fantastic vape. Maybe if I do it more, I will figure out if I am doing something wrong to raise that up a bit. I am pretty sure dripping won't become my main method, but I like options. Which is why I am so determined to make this work despite how bad it has been
  20. I keep saying that! I made a mistake getting the 1.8 ohm I think. Not sure why I bought that. At least the atty didn't fry out on the 3rd hit this time!
  21. Question on the dripping - is the atty supposed to get so damned hot? I can only vape for a couple of minutes before the drip tip is too hot to touch my mouth. And that's even on the 3.7 volt device. And the metal drip shield is equally burning.
  22. Drip shields work - I can say that much. Inside there is a leaky mess, but nothing gets out.
  23. No way I am giving up the 510-510 connector - I need that for the MDCCs to fit on the IPro! One of the attys might find their way in the Mystery box, though I think it is good to have one on hand, to try out new flavors. We will see in my taste changes in the next couple days.
  24. Or fill a carto tank with water, keeping an old used carto in there to maintain the gap in the middle. pull the old carto out when frozen, then insert an unpunched 510 carto. The water will melt, but the tank should hold the water. Might not be the best thing for your seals or for carto longevity, but it could work. It also begs the question - at what temperature does juice freeze?
