  1. If we could only figure out how to use the VP/PT in the shower, life would be grand!
  2. Someone enroll that girl in a geography and public speaking classes!
  3. Take your time it can be a hard transition for some people. I have been using e-cigs since August and I myself have slipped up and smoked a analog on occasion. We won't judge you and try not to be so hard on yourself. I hope that you are able to return your Blu and give the 510 a try. Good luck and stick with it.
  4. This answers my question. Updated news link He hid them in his underpants near his testicles so they wouldn't be detected. I wonder if this will be a push for the TSA to use the virtual strip search scanners?
  5. On Snopes.com, this story is listed as "undetermined". It doesn't matter if it is true or not. This story is hilarious! Thanks for posting it!
  6. How did this guy get on the plane with fire crackers and a possible bomb in the first place?
  7. Thanks for sharing your shopping story. Did you really vape the whole time in Best Buy? That was a pretty bold move. As for your dad being depressed from his stroke, I completely understand what you and your family is going through. My father had a stroke 2 years ago. Physically he came out okay but he didn't escape the cognitive part of it. My dad quit smoking the day he had his stroke. He also has gone through bouts of depression. It really is hard. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your father. I am glad your dad is making the switch and that he enjoys his 510 starter kit.
  8. I have witnessed people on group plans abuse insurance. I am a healthy individual and I maybe see the doctor about 2x a year. One is usually for a cold/flu and the other is for an x-ray. (I usually get injured at least once a year playing softball.) The last group plan I had was horrible. I got hit by a poorly thrown softball. So I went to the doctor for an x-ray to make sure that I didn't break my ankle. Turned out to be a very deep bone bruise. But my insurance coverage was going to refuse the payment of my visit because they thought it was the fault of another person. This really burns me. I was paying for this coverage every week out of my paycheck and I had a set schedule for co-pays on certain procedures. I barely ever used my health care plan, unlike some of the other fools I worked with. I never hated paying for insurance as much as I hated this certain plan that my employer provided. Before my parents closed our shop we had Kaiser as our health provider. Not once did I ever have a problem with them and I always felt that I as getting my moneys worth from them. I have no insurance coverage now and I really don't know what I would do if something catastrophic were to happen to me. This is why I didn't play ball this year. I am very thrilled about being forced to carry coverage. The health insurance industry and health care costs are way out of control, I do truly believe this. But I don't think this bill is going to solve any of the problems. The only thing it will do is cost the American people more money and cause a heartache for small business.
  9. It is okay. You can stay up on that soap box. Thanks for teaching your kids good manners. I think manners are becoming a "lost art." This includes you ddavelarsen, thanks for teaching your granddaughter. I am sure she will appreciate it when she is older.
  10. Good for you! It will be worth the wait. Jason is a good guy thanks for supporting him.
  11. I have heard that before. It is funny and makes me laugh every time. It is about time a school stood up for themselves. Today when I was in the grocery I had an experience with a child and I got a big thank you from the produce manager. The child was playing with the cantaloupe and it was looking like he was about to knock them all on the floor. I turned to the child and asked "where his your mother", he eyes got extremely large and he turned and scurried away. The manager thanked me because she was on the other side and didn't know what he was up to. She did hear what I said and she may use that in the future. There were kids all over the store and they were just running rampant. The rule was, when I was small and my mom would take us to the store, we had to have one hand on the cart at all times. I know it is the holiday and the parents are busy, but come on try setting some ground rules.
  12. NavyLight welcome to our forum! We are all glad that you found us. Everyone is really nice here and we all try to answer any questions you might have. As Brian stated someone here will answer your question about the 808. I have a 510, 801 and a VP PT. I really like them all. Good luck with your father in law.
  13. I guess the best way to explain it too him is the comparison with using a lighter or use a match to light up an analog. I will read your other post.
  14. I wouldn't worry about the vapor part. Just keep your liquids, atomizers and carts away from pets and children.
  15. The TSA is very unusual. I can't judge them because I really don't know how they are trained to be looking for suspected items. But this experience I had led me to believe they aren't actually that bright. I had on a pair of slip on Doc Martien sandals while flying out of Denver. They made me take them off and they actually picked them up and inspected them. Okay, I get it, thick soles and they weigh a ton. But neither person had on gloves when they picked up my shoes to inspect them. I wonder how many times they put their fingers in their mouths after ward? Have a safe trip. I hope your experience goes smoothly. Let us know how it went for you through security.
  16. I agree about this forum I learn something new everyday. I am a plug paranoid freak! I unplug anything that I might think start a fire. I unplug my coffee pot, tea kettle, small radios and all my ecig stuff before I leave my home. I think my paranoia started with my folks. When I was younger, my parents used to wire lamps and changed out damaged plug connectors etc. My dad would then have me plug it in the wall to test it. I guess that is why my hair is so curly now! @dylnne - Sorry about the accident with your Protege. I am so glad you caught it before any one or thing was seriously hurt! I hope they get it fixed for you.
  17. What they are saying is that they are change the filler or fluval every couple weeks. You still have to the fill the cartridges with juice on a regular basis or until the unit stops producing vapor. A filled cart will not last 2 weeks. I don't use the cartridge filler. I pull that out and I direct drip a couple drops onto the atomizer. There is a video about direct dripping. Welcome to the forum. I haven't run across you yet. We are all friendly and anxious to answer questions. Link to Vapor Talk Videos
  18. Welcome Lordvapor! I am glad it is all working out well for you. Order the Dulcis, it is really wonderful.

    Joyful

Welcome Dylnne and congratulations! Every time I see the topic heading for this thread (Joyful), I keep expecting to find a Christmas Carol going on in here.
  20. The 510 is called a Joye 510. It looks and feels similar to the current ecig you have right now. You are using a Blu? The 510 has a great throat hit and creates good vapor. The Spade is a battery modification for the 510 atomizer. It is not made by Joye. It has a longer battery life than the regular 510 batteries that come with a kit. There are several mods on the market that offer extended batter life, and add a little more power to the atomizer. Take a look here Ecig models. There are pictures of all the different basic models. It does not include the mods like the Spade.
  21. Bad memories are coming back to me now! This is a good example to tell the client you don't want any referrals.
