Very interesting article on big business and the FDA. Makes me wonder what the tobacco industry and FDA are going to cook up now together. Maybe the FDA will push tobacco companies to chase after the e-cig manufactures. Then the FDA can slip in a back door and gain regulation over it.

In June, tobacco companies must tell the FDA their formulas for the first time, just as drugmakers have for decades. Manufacturers also will have to turn over any studies they've done on the effects of the ingredients. It's an early step for an agency just starting to flex muscles granted by a new law that took effect last June that gives it broad power to regulate tobacco far beyond the warnings now on packs, short of banning it outright. Welcome Tranquil! The 510 was a good choice. I have never thought of vaping other liquids. But I have to agree with Jeff it won't work.

Do you have a manual or automatic battery? If the battery is the automatic and you have flooded it a couple times, it is possible that juice has gotten into the battery. This will cause it to go bad. I don't know how to fix it. Try cleaning the connectors to the battery, atomizer and charger. You can get build up and that will affect how the charge is delivered.

Were you ever a smoker? Or our you someone that has never picked up a cigarette at all in your life time? I am not familiar with the Volcano product. But I do know there are people out there that like them. I would stay away from the Blu. If you are stuck on using the cartridges you could try the Vapor King from vapor4life. This is a two piece unit that uses a cartomizer, cartridge and atomizer are one piece. They also sell cartomizers with 0 nic. Your other option would be to buy a 510 kit and blank cartridges. The 510 is a 3 piece unit: battery, atomizer and cartridge. You get 2 atomizers and 2 batteries with your kit. You then can buy liquid at 0 nic and fill your own carts. Try Awesome vapor for this product. He has good juice too!

Don't feel guilty about naming other suppliers. Everyone likes to hear about experiences with other suppliers and the products. But please do not post another suppliers name or link under a supporting supplier or open suppliers private forum/threads.

I am so glad this is working for your dad. With him being such a heavy smoker for so long, 3 analogues a day are a good thing. I hope he keeps it up and eventually gives them up completely!

I don't know of anybody that has been using e-cigs for years. Most people report feeling healthy. Some people are allergic to PG in the liquids. This is an easy fix, you can switch to VG and that seems to solve the allergy problem.

If you just quit or are still smoking analogs, your taste buds are not functioning properly. It will take a few days for your taste buds to bounce back. In a few days you might notice a difference in flavor with the liquids you already have. Good places to buy juice are the VT store, Awesome Vapor and from Dietsmokes.

It probably will vary from policy to policy or carrier to carrier. My life insurance company told me that I had to be 1 year smoke free.

Step away from the Blu. You could buy a better kit at $40, like the 801, for a back up or secondary unit to your 510.

Try a search for the straw mod. I was going to post a link, but there are many discussions about the straw mod. I think that is the one you are looking for.

I use the 510 and the 801 on the VP/PT. I prefer the 510.
