I looked around at the suppliers that I would trust to order from and I actually have found that the VaporTalk store has a really good deal. By the time I added in a bottle of juice, with the other suppliers, it all worked out to the same price (includes shipping and any other discounts). With the free shipping (purchase over $55) and the 10% discount, you can't beat it and you would be getting a genuine Joy Ego, not a knock off. While you make your decision, I am going to add a couple other things that you should buy with your kit. 2 bottles of juice (one comes with the VT Ego), and either an extra atomizer or a pack of cartomizers.

I am surprised that your health insurance is applying this policy. I wonder how this will fit into the new government healthcare bill. Part of that bill states that you can not be turned down for insurance if you have pre-existing conditions. Wouldn't smoking or nicotine dependency be a pre-existing condition? As for your question about how long nicotine stays in your system, I truly do not know the answer. Somewhere on this forum a member posted that nicotine has a half life and will leave your system in 1 to 2 hours after your last cigarette. However, I do not think this applies to continine because it is a by product of nicotine left over in the body. See this link My link I found it with a quick google search. Maybe this will shed some light on your question. You may want to do a google search for a detox solution. I found a couple sites, but I will not post them here on the forum. I am going to suggest, if you decide to DIY, to get gloves and eye protection if you will be using nic to mix. Very important, protect yourself and your household.

I shake it, curse at it and then hurl it against a wall. You guys are much more patient than I am.

For safety I am going to suggest a box of disposable gloves and protective eye wear. Wash you hands before and after you mix. Also clean the counter surface after you mix.

I have posted this link before, but for some of the new people, you might like to see it. This is the UFO Stalker site by MUFON. This has mappings of current reports of UFO's. If you click on the icons, it will pull up a description and sometimes you get lucky and some will have photos. You can also move the map about to see what is reported in other countries. Not much is reported from other countries, but every so often there is a hit. I forgot that I had this booked marked. It updates continuously. I welcomed you in your other post. I see that you had a bit of a hard time getting going because of a faulty model. I am glad that you found us and that you have purchased the Ego. You should be much happier. Yes, I like vaping much better than smoking.

Cartomizers are usually sold separately from the Ego kit. What should come with your kit is, at least, 2 regular 510 atomizers. A regular atomizer is 2 pieces, the atomizer and the cartridge/mouth piece. The regular atomizers are used for direct dripping or you can use the cartridges that come with them. You do not need a drip tip for direct dripping. It just makes it more easier, the lazy vaper way. If you are going to drip with a regular 510 atomizer, you will remove the stuffing/filler from the mouthpiece/cartridge. Add 2 drops to the atomizer and replace the mouth piece. Cartomizers are different than the regular 510 atomizer. It is a cartridge and atomizer in one unit. Go to the How to section of the forum. There are some nice videos there. Welcome to the forum! The Ego would be a good choice to start with. The Ego uses a 510 atomizer. The 510 produces really good vapor. I do have the Ego and am very happy. I mostly use a regular 510 atomizer (with drip tip for direct dripping) or a 510 cartomizer. The 302 atomizer is a pen style atomizer. It is longer and wider than the 510. That doesn't mean it holds more liquid than the 510, it is just a different style. The 302 also produces very nice vapor and IMO better flavor. The 302 will not fit on the Ego. You will need a 510 to 302/801 atomizer adapter for it to fit on the Ego battery. I am not sure if there is 510 to 302/801 adapter. I am sure someone else will be able to answer that question. I usually go the opposite direction, fitting a 510 on a 302/801 fitting. If you plan on going the direct drip route, I suggest you get a drip tip. The drip tips have a wide bore hole that allows you to drip the liquid on the atomizer without having to remove the mouth piece. For liquid choices, because you smoke about 1-2 packs a day, I would go with a bit higher level. I am going to suggest 16/18 mg. I smoked about what you did and that seem to fit me well. I have tried some stuff a bit higher and it really made me goofy. Also, get a few different flavors. Maybe a tobacco flavor, something fruity and something in between. Tobacco flavors really don't mimic the flavor of a real cigarette. IMO tobacco flavors have a nutty flavor. I am sure others will be stopping by to give you more information. Good luck and welcome!

I have not tried the LRs. I tend to stick with with my 5v PVs. But with all the chatter about the LRs I am game to give them a go. My Ego is looking a bit lonely lately and I would like to put it back into the rotation. That little "pop" has made me jump a couple times. Most of the time I toss out the atomizer/cartomizer before it gets to the popping point, but sometimes it just sneaks up on you.

From the first video to this last, I have had an overwhelming feeling to pinch someone's butt. Oh gawd, I can't believe I just said that!

I know how you feel. I lost 2 atomizers yesterday, an 801 and a 901. There was that little "pop" death sound they make and then nothing. They weren't LR's but the pain is still the same when any atomizer has run it's course.

The "crust bomb" - I like that!

You want to drip 2-3 drops on the atomizer. I use 2 drops when dripping. Another thing that helps is putting the drops in the atomizer along the side, don't drip directly on the bridge. Some people prefer to remove the bridge and the filament (white strings under the bridge) for dripping. I don't suggest this, I find it leaks more when this is done. You should get about 5-10 draws from the drops. Try not to tip the PV with the atomizer down. It is best to keep the atomizer elevated. If the atomizers gets tipped upside down or it lays horizontal for awhile you can get liquid in the cart and it will end up in your mouth. Don't give up, it takes a little practice. edit - I also wanted to add that condensation will happen in the cart and that might be what you are experiencing. If you let it build up, you can get the liquid in your mouth.

I am familiar with night skydiving. I live very close to an airport that does skydiving all day and every once in awhile they will do a night jump. Usually after the parachute opens you will still see a trail or tail of light streaming from the diver. So I am a bit perplexed by this. Still not sure what to make of the NY sighting. But I am siding with the balloon idea.

The filler in the carts can be a pain. Most people give up and go with direct dripping. The drip tips do not have filler, they have a wide bore hole that allows you to drip on the atomizer without the hassle of removing the cart. See this section My link, there is a video there that talks about direct dripping. If dripping is not for you, you may want to pick up some cartomizers. They are a cart/atomizer all in one unit. There is also another video in that same section that talks about cartomizers.

This could be a long shot. But pay attention when you are taking a draw from the PV. It could be possible that you are swallowing some of the intake and making air bubbles in the tummy, which would cause the burping.

I haven't had much luck with the 302. I struggle with the draw and I have complaints about leaking. I have some old style low bridge 801's and I still prefer those to the 302. Sad, I know. But like we tell all the new people, it all comes down to personal preference. You won't know if it will work for you until you try it.
