  1. I had a similar issue using the VP/PT with my computer. I didn't lose any ports, the OS just has some safety mechanism built in to protect them. What I did to solve the problem was get a usb hub with a separate power supply. Works like a charm. I can't believe all the stuff I can plug in now.
  2. I kind of like the cone too. I finally got my feet wet and tried some LR cartomizers. Nice, but for some silly reason the cone doesn't fit real well over the carto. Hmmmm.....
  3. Congratulations on getting your kit. Let us know if you have any questions. Enjoy!
  4. Glad to see that you are back TSM! We missed you. Hope to see you chat in again and again!

  7. Juice flavor can be different for everyone. What one person likes someone else may absolutely hate. I have not tried the butterscotch, so I don't have an opinion on the flavor. I see that you have been vaping for a few days now. Your flavor preferences will change the longer you vape. When I first started I got a bottle of juice that tasted like stale beer. I shelved it and after a few weeks, I gave it a try again. The flavor had completely changed. I would suggest waiting a few weeks and giving it a go then. Just a suggestion.
  8. The cartomizer does work better than using the cartridges that come with a standard atomizer. The best way to use a standard atomizer is to direct drip. Back to your question. Take the cap off the cartomizer and look in the center. There will be a wire and a white tube/straw. That actually is a vent. It liquid gets inside the tube it will run out the bottom. You want to add your drops along the side of the cartomizer. The drops should hit the white filler not the tube. I hope that helps. You might want to watch this video. How to fill a 510 cartomizer
  9. That was a really good video. Thanks for making and posting it. This should get a sticky or be moved into the How do I section. I would hate to see this thread get lost.
  10. Really great video on the 901 atomizer.
  11. Thanks Brian. Sounds like we both have had different experiences with the operation and led indicators. I find this interesting. I am not all that upset about it, just a bit disappointed that I could make such a stupid mistake. It seems to be still working properly, just no green led. Very curious to test the voltage now. I may have to pm you on how to use the voltage meter when I find it. I think I have a good clue, but you never know once it ends up in my hands. It would be nice to have it restored to the original set up, but it didn't work before, so I can't justify spending the money to have it repaired unless I did something else to it. I will be interested to know what Vaprlife has to say. I just hope that I didn't do more damage than what I suspect has happened to it.
  12. This is completely my fault and could serve as a warning to others. I am also looking for some input from other owners about what happened to my Joker. I will be sending a message to Vaprlife on Monday when they re-open for the holidays. What I did was put the batteries in backwards. That was a complete idiot move on my part. It was dark, I was watching a movie and just not paying attention to what I was doing. The good news is that the safety option for putting in the batteries works! The sad part is I think the voltage indicator is broken. I have the original trade in model, with the green light and blue light voltage indicator. I could never get the silly thing to work anyways, even with the FV model. The batteries would just die out. I might every once in awhile get a little flash of the blue led right before it died. Most times it was like any other battery needing a re-charge, loss of vapor production. So this is what is happening now. It works but only the blue led lights up. It appears to still be adjustable. I have turned that little screw forwards and backwards and it all seems to be functioning and adjusting. I am pretty sure it is hitting higher than 5 volts because I had it really hitting hard *cough, cough*. I also compared it to the the VP/PT running at 5 volts. I don't have a volt meter, but will be raiding my dad tool box today. If I am not achieving higher than 5 volts, I will post that information later. This is what I have done to trouble shoot and possibly fix the problem. 1. Tried both sets of batteries with a full charge. 2. Cleaned all connectors, including the battery connectors and threads. 3. Extended the spring in the bottom. 4. Tried several different types atomizers, I have the 80l fitting, same identical results with 510. BTW it happened when using an 801 atty. 5. Center post is in good position. 6. As a last ditch effort, I put the batteries in backwards again, didn't help and didn't make it worse. From what I understand, Vaprlife, has now discontinued the voltage indicator option on the new models. The parts were too expensive. It is a good possibility that they might not be able to repair it. I won't know until I talk with them or if it is really worth the repair cost to repair the indicator. Any other thoughts or suggestions?
  13. Good job Lordvapor! Welcome to the one year club!
  14. From what I could gather it is a collaboration between Joye and Ovale. I will post the link to the ECF thread. Looks like a guy from Italy has one and has been sharing some information. From what I read, it looks like the atomizer is proprietary. I am not sure if it will work on the existing Ego battery. Something about it not being deep enough? There are some good pics later in that thread of the atomizer system. The cool part is that it has a on/off feature. You hit the button five times to turn it off and then five times to turn it on. Pretty cool. Ego Tank system This video was also in that thread. Sorry in Italian. I did a search and found no other review videos. At least you can get a good look at it.
  15. Thank you guys very much for your responses. I think I have a better understanding of what these little things are now.
  16. Anyone heard of or tried these yet? Drip-O-Mzers or another example Joye 510 Dripomizer To me they look like regular cartomizers with a drip tip. I did read a thread, from Nhaler, on the other forum and it still didn't make sense. What I think these are for is better flavor and can be filled more times than the regular cartomizers. Anyone?
  17. I am jealous. Big Boom! Looks like you had a good time.
  18. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you Snubber, everyone on the forum, Chris and the Vapor Talk staff.
  19. This very interesting. I watched this video afterwards and found this to very interesting also. Especially the comment about the languages going left to right or right to left.
  20. Deep breath now. Relax. It will be okay.
  21. UMA! STEP AWAY FROM THE LIGHT! THE LIGHT IS BAD!
  22. It is okay Uma. Don't worry about it. I posted a very long message about a year ago about having to put down a kitty. The support was amazing!
  23. I don't have the LR atomizers. But I have removed the wicks from the standard atomizers. It had its pros and cons. The cons outweighed the pros for me. I thought they leaked way too much after and it just made me frustrated. Like juice this really is a personal preference. You do run the risk of damaging the atomizer if you pull the wick.
