I did hear that someone tripped a smoke detector on a cruise ship once with vaping. So I wouldn't sit underneath the one in the room. Just my thoughts about vaping in a hotel. But I say go for it and have a good time!

I don't have or have ever used the Mega cartomizers. My best guess is that they are overfilled. I watched a few video reviews and after the first filling, using 2ml, the mega will only take about 1ml of fluid, not 2ml. You might want to watch this tutorial on how to fill them. The part I found very useful was the fact that fluid had to be removed after the first fill. So it really does not hold 2ml of liquid. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91tO4SiU6mM

Most of the liquid I get is pg. I have tried a few flavors lately that were a 50/50 mix and really liked it.

Joye manufactures the Ego and the Tornado. Tornado is just the name that TW calls it.

You might want to look or post in the DIY area.

What ecig are you using? Maybe it is time to step up to LR atomizers or cartomizers.

I consider myself a nonsmoker and when I am asked if I smoke, I say no. Some life insurance policies will require a physical or blood draw. If this is required it is possible it could detect the nicotine in your system and they might classify you as a smoker. If you do a search on the forum there has been lengthy discussion about this subject.

Welcome Fiber to the forum. Glad that you made the switch. There is a small learning curve when making the switch. It sounds like you have a pretty good handle on how this all works. I am not real sure about the automatic batteries for the Ego. Most automatic batteries are not sealed and dripping can harm the insides. However, the Ego battery is much better than the original stick batteries. Hopefully someone will be able to answer this question more clearly. A lack of vapor production from the atomizer is an indication that you will need to add a few more drops. You should be getting about 5-7 draws before needing to re-drip. I don't clean my atties, I am lazy and they are disposable. But to make them last a bit longer the best thing you can do is to blow them out at night. You can also twist up the end of a paper towel and stick it in the atomizer and turn it upside down to drain overnight. Works quite well. Apple Dapple is a nice smooth vape. Juice flavor is subjective and what you might like, I might hate. Because you have smoked for so long your taste buds will be re-adjusting themselves. You should notice an increase in taste and smell. Some flavors will be stronger than others. The bitter taste after 7-8 drags could indicate a dry atomizer. I do not have the tank system. It appears that people are really liking it and that it is simple enough to use even for a noob. The Vapor Talk store will have them in stock after the Chinese New Year is over. You should also try the cartomizers. Easy to fill and will let you go out and about without the worry of dripping. They are really affordable also. As for how long your bottle of juice will last that is hard to say. If you are vaping constantly probably not very long. On average, most people, will vape about 2-3ml a day. It is best if you always have more than one bottle of juice on hand. It is also cool to have other flavors to suit your taste when the mood arrives. I have a stash of liquid and I switch up my flavors all day.

There really is not reason to use them unless you want to. Having them as a back up is a good idea.

All parts made for the ecig are disposable. They are not meant to last a life time. The 3-4 days is mostly a recommendation for the cartomizers. Some members will use them longer. After so many refills the flavor will drop off and the filler might start to burn. Same goes with cartridges, you can only refill them so many times before the flavor starts to get weak or the filler gets worn out. You can go through the steps of cleaning or rinsing, but it is just easier to start with a new one IHMO.

The battery is making a crackling sound? Cartomizers will make a crackling sound. That is normal. I have had some cartos make a little more noise than others.

I am going to take a guess as to why the fillers and blue foam may start to be scarce. The new tank systems and various types cartomizers are replacing the use of the cartridge. Cartridges are becoming a thing of the past.

Looks like the blizzard missed us too. Not much snow, maybe 2 inches. But we did get the arctic freeze. Schools closed, warning everyone to stay inside and only go out when necessary. We have blue skies, just no warmth. Dog runs out, squats and runs right back in.

I had to actually look these up. There appears to be two different models. Do the batteries still charge? In the little research I did, it looks like the penstyle is a dse801 or a Joye 302. Both those atomizers should fit. Don't hold me to it though. Good luck.

The Ego and Tornado are the same product manufactured by Joye. The Riva is a knock off of the Ego/Tornado, but the same idea. Yes you can use your kr808's on them. You will need to get a battery to atomizer adapter.

I have never used the safecig. But from looking at a site that sells them it looks like what they call a cart is a cartomizer. I can't see what type of tip is on then end, soft rubber cap or the hard cap. Those can be re-filled. You will want to look at these videos on how to fill a cartomizer in the "How Do I" section of the forum. How do I fill a 510 cartomizer How do I fill a KR808 cartomizer Both these concepts should give you a good idea how to re-fill your cartomizer. Good Luck.

I noticed that too about the salt. I barely ever use salt anymore. However, pepper is still on overload. @thorne, I think your tastebuds are waking up. By chance were you drinking fruit juice or soda? That could explain the fruit flavor on your lips.

Have not experienced the Ego buttons sticking. But I did have the mega 510 or 520 batteries and the buttons seemed to stick all the time. I got into the habit of double hitting the button on those. I also got in the habit of unscrewing the atties when not in use.

You can use a pre-paid visa gift card. They work like a credit card. Banks will usually have them and I think you might even be able to get them at Walmart.
