Batteries That Are Different But The Same?
BirdDog replied to Popsicle's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I am just throwing this out there. I don't have the silver ones or the ones with the flames. In my search for batteries, I have noticed that some will have a nipple and some don't. Maybe you need a battery with a positive end that is flat. Just a guess. -
I personally do not clean my atomizers or cartomizers. I may blow out an atomizer when changing up a flavor, but that is really about it. 510 attys should last a good couple weeks or up to a month depending how they are used. On occasion you might get one that lasts only a few day or may be DOA. It is just the nature of an atomizer. You will know when your atomizer is dead when vapor production drops (could also be a low battery), the flavor tastes really off or burnt or the draw has become really hard. They will also just stop working with no warning. You can try all the cleaning methods that you will read to extend the life, but I find it to be a waste of time. The decision will be yours.

You can pre-fill them and take them with you. You will need to put the caps back on. I also suggest that you keep them in a plastic baggie, keep a napkin or tissue with you and still bring a bottle of liquid with you when you go out.

Moved to the General E-cig Discussion area. I have not found a supplier that carries LED covers or the buttons for the batteries. The only place I can think of that might carry items like that is MadVapes.

I have tried a couple options of the mix. I find the 50/50 to be a good mix. I will still pick 100% pg over vg if given the option. I am old school.

The Joye Ego was made to be used with a 510 atomizer. There is the original Joye 510 atomizer and there are the knock offs. You should not be experiencing any more juice burning than you would with the stick battery. The Ego is still a 3.7v device just like the standard 510 battery. The 650mah just means you will get longer vaping time between charges. If you were to use a 510 low resistance atomizer you would need to use more liquid. The LR atomizers run hotter and burn the juice more quickly. The LR's simulate vaping at a higher voltages. Hope this answered your question.

It sounds like you have tried just about everything to enjoy DD and that it is just not working for you. I have no other tips or tricks to offer you that you have not already tried. How you vape and what you use all breaks down to personal preference. If the cartomizers are working for you then I say stick with the cartomizers. Set aside the direct dripping for awhile and revisit it at a later time.

E-Liquid Explosion- Spot Of Bad Luck
BirdDog replied to LinksZelda21's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I would get a couple really small bottles to take with you when you go out. I don't know if you tried them, but cartomizers are really nice to use when out and about. Eliminates the need to drip every 5-7 draws. -
Please Pray For Our Dog And Our Family
BirdDog replied to Erika's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I am very sorry to hear that such a dear family member has become ill. I will think of you and your family during this time. -
VG will produce more vapor than PG. It could be a possibility that you might be allergic to PG.

I have used a 50/50 in a carto and had no problems. I don't bother with washing or boiling them. When I feel the carto has passed it time I toss it.

Funny how we gather information and the sources that it comes from. I am glad you heard something good it is a beautiful piece of work. I have wanted to try the juice box mods or some type of juice feeder but I have to admit that I am constantly switching up flavors throughout the day. This is probably why I can't track the amount of liquid I go through in a day. Lol

I guess what I meant by reservoir are the tank systems. You have the ego tanks and the MAP tanks from COV. There are a number of people that have been using the MAP on the Provari. A juice feeder would be the box mods with the bottles. Sorry for the confusion. I don't use any of the tanks and really don't have any interest to do so. I seem to be getting along just fine with atomizers and cartomizers at the the moment. A 5v produces more vapor, more throat hit and warm vape. There can be some flavor loss with weaker flavored liquids when going to a higher voltage. The Provari probably is going to be your best option if you want to experiment with different voltages. I have a Joker AV and I am pretty set at 5v. From what I am understanding about the box mods with the juice bottles (feeders) is the Reo Grande is the best of them right now. I have heard too many complaints about the Ali and leaking.

For direct dripping you can only use 2-3 drops and will get about 5-7 draws before having to re-drip for a standard atomizer. The LR's run much hotter and produce a warmer vapor. You will be dripping more with less draws. The atomizer needs to stay moist or you will get that nasty taste.

You can fill the 510 cartos the same way as you do the 808 or you can just add drops. You want it to look slushy. I usually will spin it in my hands for a minute or let them sit for about 15 minutes before firing them up. Give them another go and good luck. The silver ones are the recommended ones.

Well thank you Uma! I bought a new mod a few months back and have been really pleased. I made a whole list of what I wanted and it helped narrow it down. Size, shape, mechanical various batteries options and a 510 connection. I ended up getting the Megalodon or the Don for short. I have been quite pleased. The only problem I had was getting used to the bottom button, which turned out to be quite nice. Because this is mechanical it should last me a lifetime. No electronics to wear out or break.

These are the questions that you have to ask yourself. 1. Do you want a juice feeder or reservoir? 2. Are you looking for a longer battery life? 3. Are you wanting to try a higher voltage? 4. Will shape and size really matter? 5. Cost. How much do you want to spend? Think about these questions and this might help you make a decision on what you might want to try next or at least narrow it down.

Advice For My Father On When To Change Cartridges
BirdDog replied to SmokeSkins's topic in New Vapers Forum
I would have several pre-filled on hand and ready to switch out when needed. Instead of explaining it to him in days, I would explain to him when the vapor drops off or decreases to change the cartridge for a new one. Is it really a cartridge or cartomizer? I thought KR808's only used a cartomizer. I don't know of a cartridge or cartomizer that will last 2 days before either being replaced or refilled. -

Not to worry. I have been here almost 2 years and I still have to ask where I should put something. -

Which cartomizers did you get? Do they have a silver bottom? You may want to try another in the pack, sometimes I find a dud. I use cartos when I go out and drip at home.
