Welcome to the forum Austin. Very glad that you have decided to make the switch. The M401 is one of the older models on the market. I have not tried the M401 but it was very popular, at one time, before the 510 hit the scene. If you are looking for a model to just help you quit and really don't plan on taking it any further than that then the M401 would probably work for you. If it is a lifestyle change you want to make then I am going to suggest the Joye eGo. The eGo has a much longer battery life than the M401 stick battery. You should get 4-6 hours from one battery, depending on how much you will be vaping. With the eGo your atomizer and cartomizers options are endless it also includes the new tank system. The eGo uses the 510 model of atomizers and cartomizers. I have ordered from Litecig and dietsmokes. Both are good suppliers. I would email them and confirm that they will ship to Canada. I have not ordered from Truesmoker and I did try and go to the site today and it was unavailable. You may want to look around the forum a bit and check out the other suppliers here. Good luck.

I have moved this to the DIY area because of the mention of higher nic content. You can go ahead and continue to ask your questions here.

I have tried a few of the flavors from the line. I found the flavors to be very strong and aromatic. The fruit flavors were really sweet.

I really don't recommend cleaning either. It doesn't mean that I haven't tried. It just never had a good outcome.

Line drive with a bare hand! Pretty amazing. The little girl didn't even flinch. Wow!

Yes you can order 510 LR's to use on your Ego. You can probably use the mouthpiece that came with your kit. The LR's should come with an empty cartridge top. I would suggest buying a couple of extra drip tips for a 510. It is always nice to have more than one. With the LR you will experience more throat hit, warmer vape and maybe some loss of flavor.

I moved this into the DIY & e Liquid Forum for you. You have 5 posts now and should be able to post here. -
I have to agree some of the products are/were outstanding. But I hated being pushed to sign up. My boyfriend, at that time, made the commitment and all they wanted him to do was find others to come into the circle. I did attend one of those great big convention meetings and it was just down right scary. Be patient. That idea to earn a little extra cash will appear when you least expect it.

Hello QT. Very glad to see you again and that all is well.

PG = Propylene Glycol - the most common additive in e liquid. This is found in most medications, like asthma inhalers, beauty products and it is also found in food. It produces a good vapor and flavor. VG = Vegetable Glycerin - again another common additive in e liquid. Also found in many products. It produces a bit more vapor than PG but can kill the flavor sometimes. You will find e liquid mixed with either 100% PG or VG. Some suppliers will also combo the two together. Like 70% PG/30% VG mix.

Does sound like a dry atty. You said you debridged the atty but did you by chance remove the wick too? If you left the wick behind that could be your burnt taste. Just checking.

Direct dripping allows you to switch up flavors more quickly, like if you wanted to test flavors before filling a cartomizer or cartridge. It also produces much better vapor when compared to using a cartridge. The only downside is that you really shouldn't drip and drive, better to use a cartomizer. You want to use 2-3 drops and you should get anywhere from 5-10 draws before needing to add more drops. If you are going to try direct dripping, I suggest getting a drip tip. It is a mouth piece with a large bore hole that you can add the drops without having to remove the mouth piece (empty cartridge/no filler). This video will help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h14QDp4v3O4&feature=player_embedded

The Janty Stick was made for the 801 penstyle atomizer. The 801/302 atomizer is a nice atomizer. You will need an 801 to 510 adapter to use the 510 cartomizer. I am pretty sure a standard adapter will not fit or work. There was an adapter created specifically for this model that was much longer in length. I am not sure where to get one.

It really depends on how strong the flavor is. A liquid with menthol could take a few burns to get it out. You can also stick a piece of napkin, tissue or paper towel in the atomizer and blow it out while using what one might call a dry burn. It is a lot easier to burn off flavors from an atomizer then trying to get it out of a cartomizer. You might have to drip several times to finally get the flavor. But it is a lot less waste then filling a cartomizer or having to wait 24hrs or more for a carto to dry.
-
Sometimes you just get a bad carto. It happens. The only other explanation is that it was too dry or you didn't let sit long enough after adding your liquid.
-
Using cartomizers is probably not the best route for testing out a flavor. A good old atomizer with a direct drip comes in handy for testing flavors. I hope you find your "go to" flavors soon. Good luck.

I don't clean my atomizers or cartomizers. I might blow out an atomizer or let it drain overnight if I used some bad juice. When I was new, I started out boiling and cleaning. Eventually I learned I was spending more time agonizing over the cleaning than really enjoying vaping. I find it easier to just start with a fresh carto and leave the fuss behind. It equate it to trying to revive a broken lighter.

The PigCig looks like the Ego. So I am guessing that it works the same. You don't have to use the cone. Not only is it for aesthetics but it will also tighten up the draw. It also keeps the atomizer warmer. There has been several cone debates. It is a personal preference whether or not to use the cone. Sometimes I use it and sometimes I don't. Depends on my mood.

Not that I can relate to vaping. It is spring and allergies could be the culprit.

The liquid ends up down on the atomizer. You might get "juiced" if you over drip. It is a good idea to hit the button on the battery and when you hear the atomizer or cartomizer crackle then put the tip in your mouth for the draw. Another suggestion is to blow across the top of the tip, like a making a pop bottle whistle, it will push the liquid to the atomizer. You should only use 2-3 drops when dripping. You get about 7-10 draws before having to re-drip. You will know when to re-drip when the vapor drops and/or the flavor. If you vape a lot and find dripping to be a pain, you should try the Boge cartomizer. Drip trips work well on these too.
