You can try the Joye 510 tank system. The Forever Vapor store carries the kit http://www.forevervapor.com/products/Joye-510-Tank.html. The other option would be the 510 kit with cartomizers. When he is ready for a longer battery life than you can persuade him to get the eGo.

Cartomizer Became Harder To Pull On?
BirdDog replied to bananabic's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I have experienced the cartomizers to gum up faster or get that tight draw a lot sooner when using a liquid with a higher content of VG. -
Can Lr Cartomizers Be Used On An Ego?
BirdDog replied to bananabic's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Yes, you can use them on the eGo batteries. I have used them both on the 650 mah and on the eGo tank PT battery. The LR's use more energy and will drain the power from the battery quicker than using a standard atomizer or cartomizer. -
I usually got about 1-11/2 hours out of my 510 batteries and maybe 2 hours from the 801 batteries.

I don't recommend cleaning your atomizers or cartomizers. It is a good idea to blow out your atomizer at least once a day and especially when changing up liquid flavors. The burning flavor you are experiencing can come from just wear and tear and it also could be from the wick. You can try removing the wick, but more than likely it will break the coil. Removing the wick is not a simple task and it can damage your atomizer. You should only remove the wick if you are direct dripping. There are videos showing how to de-wick an atomizer. Personally, I don't bother.

I use the drip tips on the atomizers for direct dripping and on my cartomizers to serve as a mouth piece.

I really liked the LR atomizers, but in the last week or so, I have given up on them and vaping at a higher voltage. I am back to the standard and finding a new enjoyment all over again. I have also used less juice since I went back to the standard and the flavor is much better. I will probably go back to the LR's when I grow tired of the standard again. lol

Not Quite A Noob, But Question About Usb Passthrough
BirdDog replied to hrsjunk's topic in New Vapers Forum
Welcome to the forum. I would go with the eGo pass through. I have the Thank pass through and am really happy with it. It is nice to be able to detach the cable and take it with me. -
I agree with Jeff. If there is leaking around the button then the battery is faulty. Contact the supplier you purchased them from.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on wanting to make the switch. Because you smoke a pack a day, battery life will be important to you. The eGo will be your best choice. It will give you the options to try all the different style of 510 atomizers, cartomizers and tanks. It is the best well rounded model for a beginner. After looking around the forum a bit more, come back and ask more questions. We will be here to help you.

Vaping For A Little Bit Now And Loving It... Buuut
BirdDog replied to frosting's topic in New Vapers Forum
After a long day of vaping, eating food and all the other stuff we do, your taste buds just kinda get worn out. There really isn't anything you can do. You just notice it more now than you did when you were smoking. -
Can't say my cat every fought me for a cigarette. But what they would do to annoy me is knock over a full ashtray or they would sit really close to it and swish their tail making all the ashes fly all over. Very glad those days are over.

VV= V V Variable Voltage

Like the tobacco flavors you will not get that same menthol flavor from e-cigs. What is missing is all the burning of a traditional cigarette. Every menthol will taste different from every supplier. It will be a much cleaner smoke compared to a analog. The best I can describe the flavor of menthol is chewing gum without the burning of paper and all the nasty stuff that comes with it. You should be experimenting with other flavors. You will find that other flavors are really good and more satisfying than trying to replicate the cigarette taste. One of the most popular trends is to add that menthol flavor with fruit flavors. I was not a menthol smoker. But the best flavor I have tried for menthol was the Vapor Talk Mentha. Nice minty flavor with a kick.

Angel is correct. You can use 30% or greater vg with your Ego. But it really depends on what type of atomizer, cartomizer or tank you are using. If you are direct dripping with atomizer you shouldn't have any problem. If you are using a cartomizr you should be patient and allow it to soak in. I have used a 50/50 mix with a carto and hand good results. The tank on the other hand is a bit different. It does not wick well with the thicker e-liquids. I have one tank and have only used PG based liquids. It does work well with wicking the PG based liquids than the higher VG content liquids.

What Type Of Cartomizer Do You Use?
BirdDog replied to Christopher's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I wouldn't mind giving the duals a whirl. -
First off mods are custom made so it will be pretty hard to price shop the same mod with different suppliers. What you can do is pick what features you might like to have and look at different types of mods that offer those features. It will help us, help you, pick the right mod or at least point you in the right direction. What kind of features would you like? Higher voltage? Bottom button/switch? Variable Volt option that will allow you to experiment with different levels of vaping? Then there are the juice feeder mods. There are tons of options available.

I have noticed that the cartos are pretty wobbly in most of the devices I use them on. It also happens with some adapters I use for a few of my mods. In my opinion it is more of a cartomizer problem than a device connector problem. I am not experiencing any air flow issues like you have described. I have learned to just go with it. I am assuming you are talking about the silver bullet. It does have a 6 month warranty. If yours is still under warranty, I would contact the supplier and see what they have to say. Good luck.

I don't have this tank. How do the holes look in the cartomizer you are using? Did you buy the pre-punched cartos to use with it?
