  1. I have been following these for the last few days. Here is some more information about some of the videos. I read this blog on a daily about all things strange and weird. http://doubtfulnews.com/2012/01/mystery-sky-noise-reported-in-costa-rica/ Picked this blog up from the link above. Seems interesting. http://strangesoundsinthesky.com/
  2. Did you ship that car to go with you?
  3. 1969 Camaro or one of those new Mini Coopers.
  4. I have had luck with a 50/50 blend, not so much with the higher mixes. I also found that even at 50/50 the cartomizer clogs up faster and becomes unusable.
  5. I have the Megalodon or the "Don" for short. Nice mechanical mod. The special 5v battery is good, but the life sucks. I mostly use it with one RCR123 battery and a LR cartomizer. I like to use it in the small bullet size setup. A few weeks ago, I won the 5v Wow mod from Clouds of Vapor. I have been testing it out and quite surprised at the kick this mod puts out. Looks just like an eGo, even has the threads for the cone. It seems durable and looks nice. So far I am pretty happy and I think the price is pretty fair.
  6. We like our resident troll too! Woo Hoo on the 10k members! *cough skydiving *cough Happy Anniversary Vapor Talk!
  7. Cartomizers hold more liquid than a regular cartridge. 10 drops is not enough for an initial fill. Try adding more liquid and see if it works. If it doesn't work after that, it is either not making contact with your battery or you received a DOA cartomizer. It happens not much you can do about it. Try these videos for filling. The second video shows how to fill a KR808, but the same rules apply to filling a 510. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CeaqRV4PmzA&feature=player_embedded#!
  8. Nice story and a happy belated birthday! I hope the people you talked to really due make the switch.
  9. I voted for the White House for the same reasons!
  10. http://casaamedia.blogspot.com/2011/12/2011-butt-head-of-year-awards.html Take a peek and cast your vote for your favorite Butt Head!
  11. RY4 is a sweet caramel, vanilla and tobacco flavor. It used to be one of my favorites when I started vaping about 2 years ago. It is worth a try, you might enjoy it.
  12. Your sense of smell is the key to how you taste. As you continue to vape your sense of smell and taste will improve and continually change. When I first started, I hunted and hunted for the perfect vanilla flavor. It never happened for me. But my flavor choices are continually changing. I never could get into the fruity flavors until recently.
  13. PG does make for better flavor. I also have found that atties and cartos last longer when using PG based liquids versus VG based liquids. Vapor production is at the bottom of my needs list when it comes to vaping.
  14. Winter storm warning! A bit excited, but not really. I will still have to work in the morning. lol
  15. You could try blowing out the atomizer before switching up flavors. Take a paper towel or tissue and twist up the end. Stick it into the atomizer and blow gently through the battery connection end. You can also try a dry burn, but if you are not careful you can pop the coil or possibly cause the atomizer to have a permanent burn taste.
  16. I am not familiar with the kit you listed. So you will have to give us a report after giving it a go. The best advice I can give you right now is be patient. Making the switch has a small learning curve. Welcome to the forum.
  17. You need to drink more water or other fluids. Dryness is one side effect of vaping.
  18. I actually have that 5v battery from Jason. Nice battery, works great in the Don. It is not a true 5v battery. It is actually four 1.2v batteries stacked in a sleeve and it equals out to about 4.8v. I don't have a Silver Bullet, so I am not sure if it will fit in length. The battery is very slender and might wiggle around inside the SB.
  19. I thought it was an interesting unit. It did catch my eye. However the small battery would stop me from buying it.
  20. Happy Holidays and New Year to you Kevin.
  21. It either needs to snow again or all this dry crusty stuff needs to go. Looks like we might have a warm up for the weekend.
  22. If you are determined to use the oil based liquid, the only suggestion I have is to use an atomizer and direct drip. You might also want to try using the LR versions or a high voltage device. The LR will burn hotter than a standard atomizer and a higher voltage device will make the standard atomizer burn hotter. I don't think it is the coil getting clogged, I think it is the filler in the cartomizer becoming saturated in oil and doing the clogging. Also, using either of the suggestions above, could alter the flavor of your liquid and you might have to add more of the oil. This could prove to put you back at square one.
  23. Shipping from the Forever Vapor store has been changed to $5.99 for US customers.
  24. Welcome Matt. I agree with both McQuinn and Jeff. Start with the eGo kit. Most of the vaping veterans, that have the bigger battery mods, also still use our eGo batteries. They are great for taking out and around town. Much easier to carry around in a pocket, purse or bag. Losing an eGo battery setup is less painful than losing your big battery mod at an event.
  25. The outer threads on the eGo is for the cone. The original design of the cone was for aesthetics, to help curb some of the leaking from direct dripping and it also tightens up the draw a bit. Most of us don't use the cone to be honest. You can purchase the cone for a few dollars from just about any supplier that sells the eGo battery. The Forever Vapor store carries the cones in several colors. http://www.forevervapor.com/ego-cone-atomizer-cover/
