Harsh throat hit at low nicotine levels?
BirdDog replied to Popsicle's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
I have actually tried this. A suggestion from some random member in video chat a few years back. I had bottles of VT Clove and Mentha. Both flavors were really good, but not an all day vape for me. This was before tanks and direct drip was the go to. A couple drops of Clove with a drop of Mentha. It was pretty good. I was impressed. Nice throat hit without the big burn. The mentha added a bit of sweet flavor while killing the clove from reminding me of Easter Ham. -
I stopped keeping track a long time ago.

Harsh throat hit at low nicotine levels?
BirdDog replied to Popsicle's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
Yes, I am still here. The other option is to turn up the voltage on the Lavatube. Create a bit more warmer vape. Some fruity flavors can be pretty mild. I picked on up the other day at 11mg and it had no throat hit. Nice flavor though. -

Welcome back. Good to see you again. Upping the PG will help. Pick some flavors that have a splash of menthol in them. I picked up a few of the fruity flavors, from Pink Spot, that have a small splash. Not bad, gives good throat hit. The Vapor Talk store is now carrying Pink Spot. What devices are you using now? -
A bit "risque" isn't it? LMAO! I want to add that I would have tested them after I filled it but the adapter I had was for an 801 to 901. The only battery I have that takes the 801 is the VPPT. It hits at 5 volts and I didn't want to run the risk of burning them out.

I don't remember. She gets the cartridges from Walmart. It is not a Blu, something with an "E". Envy maybe? She gave me some of her empty cartridges and I filled them with some liquid. I had to use the condom method. When I tried to take the top off, it had some weird blocking that wouldn't let me top it off. I am not even sure what it was. KR808 or 901? It seemed to fit on the 901 adapter I had in storage.

Actually, I was quite amazed at the draw I took off of Bunny's. Nice throat hit and produced some good vapor. Of course it had been about 4 hours since I had my own vape and the draw hit the cutoff. So at that point, anything would have been satisfying.

My Bunny friend, she was a real Bunny in the late 70's, uses the good old stick batteries. I turned her on to vaping. The small stick batteries (autos) work for her. I am not going to argue. She had a problem recently and I took a draw off her ecig to help her. The memories... It was weird to hold such a small thing in my hands and I have to admit, my fingers kept trying to push that imaginary manual button.

Patient like a cat. Just wants to play with it longer.

Well that all depends on where you live. You can vape in some public places and you can't in others. The theater probably isn't a good idea. I have vaped in a theater but it was basically empty at the time. I have also vaped in stores, a couple bars and some small restaurants. Airports and planes are mostly off limits, you will have to go the smoking areas. Hotel rooms and cruise ship cabins can be a bit touchy but only for the smoke alarms. There have been past reports of people setting them off. There is kind of an unwritten rule that vapers try and follow. You just have to be aware of your surroundings. If you are in a bar or restaurant, ask first if you are unsure. Don't argue if it is not allowed and educate when you can. Learning the art of stealth vaping will help you out in those places you can't vape. I really don't mind going out to the smoking areas if needed. I get to talk to others that might be interested and it gets me away from uptight people.

I started with a 510 kit and a couple bottles of Dekang liquid. I already new the cartridges weren't going to work but tried it anyways. The cartridge frustration lasted about 2 hours before I moved into 2 hours of figuring out how to direct drip. Tanks didn't exist then and neither did big batteries. I was so excited and confused that I was trying to drip into the small hole in the bottom. When I finally figured it out, it was on to the learning curve of how much to drip in the atomizer. I had 2 bottles of liquid, can't remember the flavors, but one tasted like dirty sweat socks. I only had half a pack of cigs left and that was it. After about a week, I ordered the 801 pen style. Holy crap! It will be 5 years in August.

I have been vaping for about 2 months now....
BirdDog replied to Enochx's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
You may have smoked lights, but you were smoking almost 2 packs a day. Light version style cigarettes do not mean less nicotine. Several factors affect how much nicotine your body took in. How large of a draw, time between inhale/exhale and the amount of cigarettes smoked in a day. I agree with Tam and Troy. Vape what works for you. It is okay that you are using 24mg to start out. You may find you start vaping less than you were smoking. When you feel you are ready take the next step down. It is okay to mix up your mg levels during the day too. You might need 24 mg earlier in the day but find that something lower works better towards the evening. Good luck and welcome to the forum. -
How long till you needed to replace your battery?
BirdDog replied to fishguy1123's topic in General Vaping Discussion
As I get older, my days and years run together. The original eGo batteries are actually older than 2 years. Probably closer to 3 years. I also have a eGo PT, the larger version (1000?), closer to the 2 years old. The thing will not die. I didn't use it as a PT much, it made my computer act strangely. I also had the same experience that you had not too long ago with an Evod tank. Awesome! I have an old box of LR cartos that I will be using with that battery. As a side note, I cracked my first tank today. Pretty sure it wasn't the fault of the current liquid. Can't remember what I had in there last. I have a feeling it was due to dropping. Really had to take a good look at it, almost thought a cat hair ended up in the tank. But a milestone in itself! -
looking for that special peanut butter

Peanut butter flavor is one you don't hear much about. Interesting. I am imaging sticky mouth as a side effect. Peanut butter and banana might make a good combo. -

I still have my original eGo batteries. Still hold a charge and work well. Those are at least 2 years old. Now that I said that, one will probably die. lol -

Lots of juice and some small supplies from the Vapor Talk Store. -
If only the ball gag came with flavors I could consider this as satisfaction.
