    iStick Power Nano

Picked up an iStick Power Nano kit from the VT store a week or so ago for my wife, as she thinks even the iStick 40 is too big for her hands. The Nano is about as big around, and about 75% as tall. Only the top 1/3 of the tank and drip tip make it taller than the bare iStick 40, it's pretty compact. I filled it with my favorite 70vg/30pg juice (gotta try it before I turn it over to the missus), and used the factory installed .75 ohm coil. I started out at 10 watts and over several tanks settled in at 14 watts. Good flavor and a decent cloud, but not enough to obscure the TV while chain vaping it. No dry hits, the juice holes in the coil are quite large. The airflow is in my opinion a bit on the restrictive side for DL even wide open, but it is possible. Think somewhere between the full open and mid setting of the subtank mini. I haven't messed with any of the different settings, just used it in watt mode. The battery lasts through 3 tanks give or take with the .75 ohm coil at 14 watts. I haven't tried the .3 ohm coil that comes in the package sealed in it's own blister pack, and probably won't for a while, the missus has discovered the Nano and refuses to give it back. Overall it's a good little unit. In wattage mode it just plain works and so far has no little quirks. Also as far as I can see it works exactly like the full size 80 watt iPower.

  2. so I'm putting this here because I'm soon to get a Griffin 25 plus rta. now my boyfriend has made me two coils, kanthal a1,24 guage. six wraps each, it's what he uses in his griffin, but he saw the 25 plus, and thought it would be easier for me. it took him all of and I'm not kidding two minutes. so I have the coils made up and he gave me plenty of organic cotton. with this build it clocks in at .3.....any advice before I take the plunge? I'm getting the coil master v3 kit as well.

  4. My better half has finally learned the "don't ask, don't tell" policy I have implemented regarding my vape equipment. The one time she has asked in recent memory was the best, though. . HER: Geez! How much vape stuff do you have? ME: You know better than to ask such a silly question when you really don't want to know. HER: You're probably right, but where did you get that shiny one? (she pointed to one of my mech mods) ME: YOU bought it for me for Father's Day in 2015! HER: I did? ME: Yep. I still have the box with the note you wrote attached to it that says, "don't friggin blow yourself up". True story

  9. Hahaha... I've leaned to keep my vape gear in my office, and my fiance' has leaned to ignore any new packages She does, however, roll her eyes often when she sees a "new" mod or tank... but often it is a mod she's just not seen "lately", or a new set of different colored o-rings, not a new tank... I honestly haven't bought that much new stuff in the past year... I swear! She did mention casually that she'd need a WHITE mod for the wedding in June... Little does she know she has a white 75W Topbox Kit sitting on the shelf in my office (tank cleaned and ready to use), just waiting for mother's day to give it to her...

    okay y'all

My advice - don't let yourself get locked in on the 24 gauge, 6 wrap dual at .3 ohms. Wire is cheap. Experiment with different gauges, different id's (inside diameters), different wrap numbers, etc. You may find you like a dual 7 wrap with 26 gauge around the 3mm coil jig which would clock in at about .5 ohms or you may find you like a dual 5 wrap with 24 gauge around the 2.5mm coil jig, which would clock in at about .2 ohms. Have fun and experiment. Watch a lot of videos, pay attention to instruction and make sure you only work when direct adult supervision is present.

  12. No, a different coil wouldn't make a tighter draw. Some tanks are very airy and more conducive to what's called direct to lung type of inhaling while most new vapers prefer mouth to lung (inhale into the mouth first, then inhale into lungs) like they did with their cigarettes. Those who use MTL (mouth to lung) type of draw typically like a tighter draw. A different tank that's known for tighter draws or MTL style of vaping might work better for you. What might work with the drip tip you currently have on your tank is to change how you put your mouth on the mouthpiece. Don't put your mouth around the tip, but a little more like if you take a sip from a bottle of soda. That can restrict airflow without making you look funny.

@Walt if you dont have the spring/ballbearing in there the airflow will not lock/stay in place it will spin freely

@Walt the spring/ball bearing is what makes the airflow ring lock on place

No doubt. Ten cents per ml sounds good to me. Now ten bucks for the batch sounds beyond amazing. The DIY juice gig is definitely inciting. Been watching videos and scoping out starter kits. I have a lot of consternation regarding flavoring. I can envision brewing up some God awful concoction that would end up being Draino.

  22. On either coast a firearm will have people sitting in corners playing with yoyos and petting ponies. Anywhere in the center states you're pretty much ok.

  26. My track record in regard to converting others is at a dead zero. My wife just says no and my oldest daughter has serious reservations. Her best friend and business partner is a pharmacist and she wants confirmation that vaping is perfectly healthy. To me that is a bizarre requirement, but I don't challenge it. Neither of them smoke enough to be have a great impact on their health. Sometimes attraction is better than promotion.
