  1. I totally get that and I don't disagree at all @smacksy. My apologies if it appeared I was in disagreement. I'd be more than happy to see additional sub-forums added. That being said, I may be in the minority, but I think additional sub-forums should come from requests/suggestions by us, the members of this forum. In other words, if it's requested, such as your "Cloud Chasers" request, I'm 100% in support because that shows an interest and other members may not be as willing to suggest the sub-forum for fear of their idea being shot down. But at the same time, I don't think @Christopher should simply start adding sub-forums just for the sake of adding sub-forums when they may not get any traffic. I may be wrong, but I think a couple of the reasons he asked for input from us in the first place is because he wants to expand the forum as a whole and he realizes there is a need for additional sub-forums if for no other reason than more organization.

  2. That's true. But then I imagine VT also wants it's own identity, not to just be a copycat of another forum.

  3. Just to clarify, I don't have an issue adding as many sub forum as requested. Prior to adding new sub forum, everything was sort of dumped into one general area. Now that we're adding a number of a sub forums (which will automatically update in Tapatalk) I just need to ensure all the topics from the old general sub forum are moved into their respective categories. (It's tedious) Allow me some time to do so with the rebuildable forum and then I'll continue on with the rest of the forum. (I'm bringing on 3-4 new moderators to help assist with the process)

  6. Some of this arrived via vape mail, some of it arrived via me walking into one of my local B&M's. I've been cashing out my loyalty points at various online and local shops...lol From left to right (sort of) Twisted Messes V2 RDA Lost Vape Triade DNA 200 (this thing is pretty darn nice!) My 3rd Sigelei Fuchai 213 (What can I say? I LOVE this little mod) This one is in pink (don't give me a hard time about it being pink!) Twisted Messes V1 airflow ring also in pink. The TM RDA it's on isn't new though. (Again...no hard time about the color! I have something I think will be pretty cool planned for Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October) Efest LUC V4 charger 30ml ANML Carnage 30ml Brood Redwoody 10 more Samsung 25R batteries (can never have enough batteries) 5 more cases for the above batteries (safety first)

  14. But you would need a SS TC mod too use SS in TC mode?? Im confused
    1 point
  15. I noticed that when winding coils the SS was easier to make nice coils for my RDTA's. I haven't tried TC but I'm thinking I'm going to start playing with it. Most of my mods handle SS in TC so it's an easy thing to try.

  17. Im gonna have to pickup a SS TC mod and give it a shot

  18. I've tried both and I my personal experience has been better flavor with SS. The SS is also less of a PITA to work with than the Ni in my opinion.

  19. This is a screenshot of my status in the Vaping Underground Forum..It was voted the best forum out there in 2015 by vapers like me and you..Since joining in 2014 I have over 5,000 posts..it's because of the many sub forums that adequately cover our vaping interests..moreover these sub forums are very easy to navigate, especially using Tapatalk...membership in this forum is huge, as it's #1.. ECF is big but loaded with touchy moderators who will ban you in a heartbeat ... Because so many people have been banned VUF has its own ECF refugee sub forum welcoming those banned members... Unlike ECF, there are very few rules at VUF.... (didn't mean to get off topic here, so I apologize.. [emoji12]) Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk

  21. I think it's a little bit of both. I've been doing this since 2008 and I've seen forums/people come and go. A little bit of identity is good otherwise the forum becomes just a hit and run tool rather than a community. Each one sort of has it's on personality (ECF is sort of the go to for the latest on rules, regs and personalities) Vapers Forum used to be a little more on the crazy side though it's become a graveyard since drew died, etc etc. At any rate, I run 18 forums through Chrisorah and generally have a good idea of what can be done but like to ask the members how they prefer it as each site I manage usually has it's own personality. At any rate we'll get to work on finishing the organization in the RB forum and will move to the others.

  22. I'm likely going to add many many new sub forums, the issue is, getting the current topics/posts into the new categories. It's a post by post process. It's as fun as watching grass grow.

  24. An alternative to the NEBox is the Cupti. Its similar to the Nebox, but only holds 5ml compared to the 10ml the Nebox tank holds, and it has a replaceable glass tank instead of a plastic tank. The only drawback is it uses CLOCC coils, but there is a RBA available for it. You said you may be getting a Toptank, and was concerned about leaking. I am currently using 2 Toptanks and have no leaking issues, and I never close the air when not in use.

  25. I use a NEBOX as my daily driver, and have since it came out. (I am not really sure if I recommend it though). It has terrible TC, so I run mine in wattage mode with the RBA. It holds 10 ml but has been known to leak. If the tank get too low, or orings are not sealing. The RBA also has to be wicked correctly, or it will leak too. It also has no airflow adjustment. I vape at 25 - 30 watts and one tank and one battery lasts nearly all day. I drive for a living too. I carry 4 charged batteries, plus the one in the mod. I also carry a charger and spare batteries with me. I have never had to use it. I have charged batteries in the motel at night.

    OTR Mod/tank Suggestions Please

Well, at 10W and 1.8 ohm battery I only have to charge it once every 4 - 5 days (sometimes 6) so I would think, even at 30W, you'll get a day or three before needing to recharge.

  27. If the landlord weren't your mother, I'd say vape what you wanted, when you wanted... it's not "smoke" and it's not a combustible cigarette... and vapor has yet to set off a smoke-detector (to my knowledge) anywhere... BUT, since it is your mom, I'd honor her wishes and go outside. If you HAD to stealth-vape, stick with a 20/80 PG/VG (low vapor) liquid in small tank (like an eGo battery and KPT3 mini or EVOD) and you'll not produce much vapor, if any, and the smell would be very limited to nothing more than a little spritz of air-freshener in the flavor you're vaping, so you'd need a fruit flavor? And, I hate to be harsh... but perhaps it's time to move out and get your own place, where you can do what you want, when you want?

  30. Patricia, personally, I've never had the problem with burnt lips with a SINGLE coil unless I was sub ohm, so I would stick to above 1 resistance, kanthal (nickel can't be used in wattage mode anyway, I don't know about nichrome - which is part nickel - or ceramic, and Clapton is usually sub ohm as well, from what I've seen? Now, with dual coils I have gotten the burnt lips much earlier. That's the thing about the Nautilus tank that I liked, it was bottom vertical coils rather than being dual coil. For me, it was all the power, none of the problems. Good luck.

  31. Hey all! So this is a problem I've had with a couple of different types of bottom coil clearomizers. After a few uses, the base portion where the atomizer coil is located will get stuck (making it really difficult to clean out between uses). I think it is because some of the juices will leak through, making it sticky. When that happens, usually the only way I'm able to unscrew it is with a good amount of effort and a pair of pliers, which often leads to some scratching.. Has anybody else run into this problem? Is there an easy / damage free way to get the base unstuck when it happens?
    1 point
  32. Try running some hot water over the base (after removing clearomizer from battery first ) then, if it's still not cooperating I'd use a couple of small pieces of rubber shelf liner to give you a better grip. In a pinch, wind a couple of rubber bands around the base of the clearomizer and the main tank. That should help?
