Hmmm... Maybe I SHOULD get over being camera shy and start putting the "big guys" to shame on YouTube. I follow a lot of them and respect their reviews (and what many are doing for advocacy), but I have always found many of the reviews lacking in that they don't go into the nitty-gritty details of every function of every device they review. It's usually a "yeah, I like it. It produces clouds for days" for devices or "you'll like the flavor" for juices. No explanations of the ins and outs or the subtle nuances of different flavors. Hmmm...2 points -
@Rixter Have you tried the drip tips with the screens in them? I picked one up and it's my favorite I use it on my Avocado which spits like crazy if I don't get the settings for the juice right. I love it, the only down side is once and a while if I chain vape it gets wet and I have to blow it out into a paper towel to dry it out then problem solved.1 point

First, I like the internal spiral fin design which not only spirals your vapor into your mouth for smoother airflow but also blocks spit-back from devices that are prone to do that. Second, it's minimalistic in design...looks like a smooth cylinder on top of your tank. They're strictly MTL, though. There's a little bit too much restriction for the DLers IMO.1 point

Make my own Flavorings
Compenstine reacted to FXRich for a topic
I have used non PG flavoring from Olive Nation, their website recommends not to use it for vaping, (it is probably just for liability reasons) use at your own risk. It has a water/alcohol base, so when vaping it you will get more sizzle, and spit back at higher watts, and you will also need to use a little more flavor. Try to stay away from flavors with Triacetin in them, it will separate from VG,1 point -
Hi, I'm new to this forum, been vaping about 18 months and there is no doubt it has saved my life. Former smoker for over 4 decades, of which several were spent managing/buying for a prosperous independent smoke-shop chain in Pittsburgh, PA. I plunged into vaping headfirst after a friend of mine recommended it to me and haven't looked back since. I have become an enthusiast and advocate, make my own liquids, and find relaxation in the hobby. My health has drastically improved since I quit smoking and through vaping have also lost a considerable amount of weight. It's been all good except for the latest FDA intrusion which threatens not only the hobby but more importantly offering a legitimate less harmful way of getting others off cigarettes. That's my short version intro, hopefully this forum is less cliquey, genuinely friendly, and more mature than some of my other previous forum experiences. -Cheers1 point

Ohm = the resistance level of the coil (coil heats up to heat the juice into vapor / the lower the resistance (ohm number), the hotter it is and faster it heats up the eliquid). Watts/wattage and volts/voltage = how much power your battery is putting to heat up your coil. The higher the number here, the hotter it gets. If you don't want to make any drastic changes from what you're using now, I'd go with a variable voltage Vision Spinner or Evod pen style battery. It's exactly like what you're using now except the bottom can be turned so you can turn the power up or down. This will give you more control over how you vape. Some juices like fruits will like a lower, cooler temperature while other flavors like bakery (pies, cakes, etc.) usually like it a little hotter. Just a thought.1 point

That's how big the bottle is. They come in 10ML size, 30ML, 60ML and other popular sizes. So that's a fairly large bottle. If you like it great! If you hate it, well you'll have a lot left over1 point -
I placed an order on his website about 1.5 months ago and I have not heard or received anything. That is completely not like him.1 point

Personally I'm getting tired of the government telling me what's best for me. I can make my own decisions on what's best for me, I don't need a bunch of politicians in DC telling me how to live my life. I also know a society needs a certain number of laws, but right now I believe we have too many laws that infringe on our freedoms.1 point

Thanks to you when I went into the local B&M today and was looking at mods I looked at this mod.Killing time, The sales guy said it was great and I said it's not for me because I told him that it didn't turn on and off and he thought I was nuts until he popped batteries into it and tried it out. I told him to read your review to get the low down on the mod.1 point

Coil killing dark juice
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
I forgot to mention the new Top-EVOD tanks... they still fit the Ego-style batteries, slightly larger, top-fill, and are Pyrex glass, so you can vape fruits and mints without worrying about cracking the plastic tank. Also, if you like what you are using, you can thin your juice.... a few drops of PG (or distilled water) in the tank (then shake well) will dilute it and thin it out nicely without altering the flavor too much (if at all). Pure PG can be bought online or at most any pharmacy, and distilled water is available by the gallons at any grocery.1 point -

You can switch to a hotter coil... say a 1.5 Ohm? Or, better yet, switch to a slightly different tank. The T3D is a work-horse, but still as single-coil, and a small one at that. The Kanger ProTank Mini 3 is the same size, and uses a dual-coil... which are available in many different resistances... 0.8, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8, 2.0... and will give you more variety in coils, while still keeping with the same eGo-style 3.7V battery. Upgrading to a Variable Voltage eGo battery will give you more control too. Furthermore, it might be time to upgrade to more modern mods (variable Wattage)? You can still run them low power... which I like to point out... just because your car can do 100mph, doesn't mean you HAVE to do that pulling out of the driveway You can run a 200W mod at 10W... no laws will be broken, lol. Also, newer tank designs far out-pace the older T3D designs!1 point -
Coil killing dark juice
Tam reacted to Earthling789 for a topic
I've got a couple of really dark juices too... and yeah, they rip through coils, compared to my clearer or very light juices But, I've found that if I use dark juices only with my RTA's, and like @Tam stay above 1.2 Ohms with my builds... I can usually get a week or more before I have to re-wick and clean the coil. The coil itself can hold out 4-6 weeks if I dry-burn and re-wick about once a week. If I use a pre-built coil... my 1.5 Ohm coils (12-15W) can last about 10-days on average (if I can re-wick them, I can get about 3 weeks before tossing them or fully rebuilding them). Lower resistance coils don't last as long with dark juices....1 point -

Bebop: Shortly after I placed an order with S-V, I noticed on my "first" hacked account I had charges for $2, $9, then over $150 that I had no idea who the companies were let alone what was ordered. The 2nd (account) time, I had ordered, within 3 days, there were charges of close to $1000 on the account. The financial companies cancelled the cards and issued new ones. I won't take a chance on that happening again.1 point

Christopher Id be more than happy to get all my vaping stuff from V/T f the inventory/prices were close to your competition. This is the first vaping site when I started vaping and the site and its members gave me the greatest help to get me where I am today. Im a firm believer in keeping things in house and with family/friends . That being said I know its business and V/T has to make money I dont mind spending a "few" dollars more to support V/T But $20-30 Is too rich for me. Like others have said if you can stock more stuff and better pricing Id be happy to give you all of me vaping business1 point

Welcome to Vapor Talk Lee! My OWN opinion is that we're a LOT more friendly and not at all cliquey around here, but I'm biased. When I joined not quite 18 months ago I perused this and several other forums. This is what I was looking for...a group of people who, for the most part, are more concerned with vaping for health reasons than than they were with comparing who can blow the biggest cloud. You'll find hobbyists here as well, though. DIYers, coil builders, collectors...heck, we even have one guy around here whose personal hobby is helping other people spend money on vape gear. I won't mention his name.1 point -
Where to find true stainless kanger coils?
Christopher reacted to Bebop for a topic
Wow. I just checked. The boxes clearly state "stainless steel" but the coils themselves are stamped NC. good to know1 point
