Once the government does something its hard for them to admit that they made a mistake, and undo it. The best known example is the 18th amendment (prohibition), which had to be undone by the 21st amendment, the only Constitutional amendment ever repealed. I don't look for Congress to do anything because the current POTUS will probably veto it anyway. Just my opinion. If it were not for the Family Smoking Prevention and Tobacco Control Act, passed in 2009 the FDA would not have any control over tobacco products, and we would not have these new FDA regulations.

  4. Over-cooking the juice usually makes it taste like crap... as for making it "harmful"... it shouldn't affect the chemistry, even if you boiled it... other than oxygenating the nicotine, which causes it to break-down (lower) and become bitter. I''m also sure your juice turned very dark. Some flavors (especially natural fruit flavors) will become rancid if they've been overheated as well...even leaving them in a hot car for a day will make them intolerable to vape. Hopefully it wasn't a big batch... but if it were me, I'd toss it because the flavor will most likely be bad, the dark color will shorten coil-life, and the nicotine will be lower and have a bitter taste.

I work in law enforcement. Over the years I have been in courtrooms many times when I have heard a defense attorney object to a statement made by a witness and ask for that statement to be struck from the official court record. When this happens, the attorney generally states specifically what wording they want removed from the record and the judge repeats it to the court reporter when making the official order to strike the statement. The vast majority of the time the statements being objected to/struck are irrelevant to the case and really have no bearing on it, but every once in a while a statement made by a witness, whether warranted or not, can influence a jury's decision to convict or not convict. In those particular cases I have always found it interesting that the reason the defense attorney wants a particular part of a statement struck is so the jury won't officially "remember" it, but by repeating the statement and then having a judge repeat the statement while issuing the order to strike the statement it usually ends up burning that statement into the memories of the jury. While the struck statement cannot be used in determining guilt, it ends up serving as a subliminal message of sorts. What does this have to do with the FDA regulations? Subliminal messages. I was chatting with a fellow vaper here at work today about the regs and where we see things going. We are both in agreement that vendors not being able to promote vaping as a safer, healthier, less dangerous alternative to smoking is ridiculous. So we came up with the following text that a shop owner could potentially post in the window of their shop (or even inside the shop). It probably wouldn't fly very far, but it still might be fun to test the waters a bit.

  7. When I'm at home I generally vape a single mod/tank/juice setup. At the moment I'm vaping my Fuchai 213 with TFV8. Work days or when I'm out and about is an entirely different story. I usually have 2 regulated mods with me when I leave the house, and I have been accused of overkill with the extras I carry with me on a daily basis. In my defense I am on the go a lot during my work days and I have a long commute, so I'd rather be safe than sorry. In addition to whatever regulated box mods I decide to use each day I usually have at least two extra tanks (sometimes 3), two needle tip bottles filled with juice for refilling, 2 to 4 additional 30ml bottles of juice, 2 to 4 extra batteries, at least one mech mod (sometimes two) with an RDA on each one, my coil kit, 26 gauge kanthal and cotton. As if that isn't enough, I also have two 11000 mAh battery packs that are normaly reserved for cell phone charging. It just so happens they are very effective at charging batteries in mods as well. 12. BTW, steeping in the microwave isn't necessary... but it is "fast", lol... Floating the bottles in a warm water bath is also acceptable for accelerating the steeping process... but it is less about the heat and more about mixing... heating excites the molecules causing them to move, thus mixing the flavors through Physics, rather than physical exertion. Thorough mixing when you're making them... using a vibration table, sonic cleaner, or magnetic stirrer works wonders for making a better blend. I find (when I don't use my magnetic mixer) leaving the cap off, and putting them into an area that is warm (on a shelf above the stove, or in a room that gets a little warmer than the rest) works far better than "cooking" the juice... slow aging and daily shaking makes for a far better flavor, and depending on the juice, it will only take 2-10 days to fully "evolve" the flavor.

    DYI-OOPS question Help please

Another way to "speed steep" your juice that's a little easier is to take a bottle of hot water (not boiling), and put your bottle of juice into it. Put the hot water into a Pyrex bowl and set it on the counter. This way, you really can't over cook/steep the juice because the water will cool on its own. If you need to, you can dump the cooled water and refill with hot water and repeat as necessary.

  15. Welcome to the dark side [emoji1] Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk That finish on your RX2/3 looks much nicer than the pics from Wismec all the sites have. Is it really that nice or is it the lighting from the flash? I just ordered a red RX2/3 earlier today. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk

  18. Dipping my toes into the sub ohm pool. Got an Evic VT2 mini and a Cubis tank. I didn't want to spend "too much" until I knew if sub-ohming was something I'd like or not. Guess I'll see in the next few weeks.
