  1. I had several teeth extracted a few years ago, and vaped without any issues afterwards, but I changed from mouth-to-lung airflow to a more open direct-to-lung airflow, which reduced the chances for getting a dry socket. As a side-note... a lot of dentists don't know the facts on vaping, and will tell you false info regarding how bad it is for your teeth. One of my favorites is that "PG is very bad for your teeth"... ummm... if it were bad for your teeth, it wouldn't be a chief ingredient in mouthwash and toothpaste, lol. Another biggie is "All those sweet flavors in vape are like sucking on sugar all day"... ummm... no, that is also false because while there are sweet flavors and sweeteners in some vape flavors, they are not nearly as bad as drinking a cola or eating a candy bar. Also, since I started vaping, my hygienist and dentist could not be happier with my check-ups. Vape does not stain my teeth like tobacco (or coffee) did, and my cleanings take 10 min! My dentist has also said my teeth and gums are healthier now than they were 5 years ago.

    Atlantis Mega

Bought a Mega off E-bay for 20 dollars and got it in 4 days. Filled it up with Mothers milk and was expecting this wonderful big hit. I dont think the holes were drilled on the inside of the air flow adjustment. Just sent it back today so I hope the one they send back works.

    charger blink?

It's been a while since I've charged one too, but I just plugged in one of my old back-up eGo batteries and it stayed red until charged, then blinked red/green a few times, before going to solid green, indicating full charge. If memory serves, a slow-blinking red means the battery is not making good contact with the charger or the battery is incapable of charging (defective). Try lifting the center pin of the battery by prying it up, slightly, with a small screwdriver and that may solve your problem. It could just be the battery is beyond it's life-cycle and won't charge again? Have you also tried a different charger?

    Cheap Kanger coils

I'm not sure I could get genuine's in at that price but I could probably locate something of similar quality Just an FYI I'm getting ready to fly out in a day so if I go MIA I'll see if I can't order these in the moment I return (If Evan in the warehouse doesn't beat me to it)

    charger blink?

It has been a while since I charged an eGo style battery. Thinking back, the last ones I charged did the same thing. It is normal, but if it makes you nervous, don't leave it unattended while charging.

  6. Nah, I don't get tired typing about what I love The PG and VG won't need to be placed into glass or smaller bottles, unless you just want to make them easier to store. I frequently store my PG and VG in the gallon or liter bottles they came in, and only separate them into smaller bottles once I open the seal on a gallon jug... not to mention, the mini-fridge I use in my office won't accommodate too many gallon jugs The gallons tend to go into the deep-freeze! I also do not pre-mix anything... it makes it much harder to factor and figure your mixes if you're pre-mixing PG/VG/Nicotine, because you're limiting yourself on the amount of flavorings you can use to achieve the 70/30 or 50/50 mixes you want, and run the risk of further diluting your nicotine to a lower level than you think it is (which might not be a bad thing). I leave everything separate until I'm ready to mix a juice to completion! Another reason I don't pre-mix VG/PG/Nicotine is that they have different shelf-lives, and I don't want to shorten the shelf-life of my PG by mixing VG with it... if that makes sense? PG has a shelf life at room temp of 10-15 years... in the freezer it will keep nearly forever. VG has a shelf life of 5-7 years at room temp... 10-30 years in the freezer... Nicotine has the lowest shelf life... 2-5 years if mixed with VG, and 4-7 years if mixed with PG (at room temp, with no air in the bottle)... Oxygen degrades it rapidly, but sealed in glass bottles as I mentioned above, placed in the freezer, and you'll get a decade (minimum) out of storage. Flavorings typically last anywhere from 2-10 years without freezing... but it depends on the flavor and if it is mixed with PG base, natural flavor, artificial flavor, alcohol content, etc.

  7. Most of my flavors are FW but the chocolate I use comes from TFA and is almost clear, and the coils last longer. I don't know how it compares to the dark chocolate but it does taste like chocolate to me. It seems like when I add a little TFA caramel to the mix it brings out the chocolate flavor a little more. I hope eventually I can find a lighter color coffee flavor, but probably not.

  8. I agree with Edna, we probably could use a subforum just for DIY recipes. I know that everyone has different tastes, and what may taste good to one person may not taste good to someone else. I mostly use Flavor West flavoring, and they will differ from other flavor makers, which people have to consider when mixing flavors.

  9. If you do vape and wind up with a dry socket use oil of clove soaked on cotton and put it in the socket. It stops the pain really fast. The eugenol is extremely effective. It also prevents infection. I had major oral surgery and that's what my surgeon gave me. I keep it on hand and have helped a few friends on weekends who couldn't get to the dentist until Monday with it. I'm not a doctor but do have a nursing degree so I'm not talking nonsense. Tam is right though, you want to wait until your clot is firmly established before sucking anything. You can get oil of clove at a health food store. It tastes really strong but you get used to it.

  10. Immediately following a root canal, I vaped and was fine. While I'm no health professional, in my experience, you do not want to be sucking on anything following a tooth extraction. When they take a tooth out, a clot forms in the socket where the tooth used to be. You do not want to be sucking on anything (vaping, smoking, a straw in a drink, etc.) because that could cause the clot to dislodge and come out. This is called a dry socket, and it's the worst pain you'll ever feel. It will make the pain of an abscess feel like nothing at all. You don't want to be doing that. Why not wait to meet with the dentist and see what she says first before coming to any conclusions?

  11. Storing pre-mixed juices is an issue... their life can be extended by putting them in the freezer, but your limitation on how long they'll last will be determined by when they were mixed and the quality of the PG/VG/flavorings used to mix them. They say juice has a shelf-life of 1-2 years because that is the "shelf-life" or "half-life" of the weakest ingredient (the Nicotine base). Putting them in the freezer will, at a minimum, double the shelf-life, and if they are full to the brim (no air in the bottle), they can be kept frozen for many years... possibly even decades! As FXRich said... DIY is a better way to go to extend the life of your juices... ingredients can be frozen and kept far longer than mixed liquids, and when you want to mix a batch, you can simply use smaller lots of your ingredients, while keeping the bulk frozen and free of air (Oxygen). I do the same thing with my Nicotine base... I break liter bottles into smaller 240-250ml bottles and use them one at a time so the remainder can stay Oxygen-free and frozen. One thing to mention is that Nicotine base in PG lasts (in the freezer or on the shelf) far longer than Nicotine base in VG, so unless you are looking to mix 75% or higher VG juices... buy your Nicotine base in PG, or at the very least 50/50 PG/VG blended base.

  12. I keep most of my nic base, PG, and VG in the freezer. It doesn't freeze solid, but gets really thick. I'm still using nic base that I got about 3 years ago, when I got it I broke 1 liter of 100mg base into 4 250 ml glass bottles, and stored most of it in the freezer. I use a 250 ml bottle to do my mixing with. Its just as clear as the day I put it in there, no noticeable oxidation yet. The nic base might be the only thing that will be hard to get, VG and PG will always be available. so will flavors. Right not I have 9 250 ml bottles of 100mg base in the freezer, besides the 250 ml bottle I mix with. I don't know how long already mixed juice would last, but I'm guessing at least several years if kept in the freezer, with as little air in the bottle as possible. I use 4mg juice so a 250 ml bottle of 100mg should make about 6250 ml of juice.
