  1. Hi Folks, The vaping world moves, mold and changes quickly. As such we're probably due from some add on sub forums, would sub forums do you believe or would you like added to the board?

  2. The best places to keep your PG, VG, Nicotine base, and flavorings is in the freezer, or at the very least, in the fridge. It is best to keep bottles as full as possible to prevent Oxygen degradation from occurring. Plastic bottles are okay, but I would invest in a few dozen amber or blue Boston Round bottles of varying sizes... 8oz down to 1oz, with cone-caps... as well as 1/2oz, 1oz, 2oz, and 4oz amber or blue Boston round bottles with dropper-caps for holding your mixed flavors. Plastic are fine, but glass is reusable . I would avoid Mason jars or anything large/fragile. Those Boston Round bottles are pretty tough and really hard to break! Here is what I do... I buy my Nicotine base in liter containers (when I can), and I transfer that directly into 2oz or 4oz amber glass Boston Round bottles (with cone-caps, not dropper caps). I fill them near to the brim, so the cone-cap can seal them tight without any excess air. Be careful when you do this, and use surgical gloves and work on a surface that can be cleaned easily just in case you spill anything. I do the same thing with my PG/VG, but I put those into 8oz bottles... because I use more of those, and Oxygen doesn't affect them nearly as much, so the bottles I'm currently working from stay on my shelf at room temp... nothing worse than trying to syringe-up frozen VG... it's like molasses in January, lol. Flavorings are also moved to glass Boston Round bottles, if they aren't already bought that way. I don't worry about moving those to smaller bottles... I just work from the 4oz bottles I buy them in, and they also stay in the freezer (for the ones I use less frequently), or the fridge (for my go-to flavors). As long as they are kept out of sunlight, and in a cool place, they will be fine for a couple of years, though. My go-to flavors typically get used in a few months, so I've never really worried about them going bad before I use them, and sometimes just leave those bottles on the shelf in my office... which is also where I do most of my mixing... because I have the space there, and it's quiet, cool, good lighting, and nobody bothers me there. I also have a bathroom 5' away, so I can quickly wash/shower away any catastrophic spills... Another thing... buy some stick-on labels... like the Avery-style in 1"x2" or 2"x3" so you can label the bottles with what is in them, as well as a date it was bottled. A date may seem odd, but you'd be amazed how handy it is to know which bottle has been neglected, so you can keep your stock rotated and fresh! The Avery labels can also be fed through a printer, so you can make labels more legible, too. And, on glass, the labels can be easily removed during cleaning of the bottle for re-use.

    Cheap Kanger coils

I agree completely, I'd like to see more US products available but the funny thing is, in the retail store for a while we carried a wide array of US products. (Not listed online) They naturally had higher prices because the cost is higher and I'd say 80% of the customers (except the diehard loyal US supporters) all opted for the Chinese brands as (at least these days) they offer a pretty dependable product. I think the whole PMTA ordeal has also likely killed off potential here in the US which is a sad, sad state of affairs. At any rate though I'll get these order in tonight, they should be here mid next week and while most of you are stocked up, the price should be reasonable for future orders. (and I'll get anything else in request fairly quick if I'm notified)

I don't mind spending a little more if it helps to support the forum, actually I would prefer to buy vape products made in the US, but I don't think there are any, not saying there's anything wrong with the Kanger stuff made in China, because they do make a good dependable product or I wouldn't be using their stuff exclusively. its just I would prefer to buy American made stuff. There was a rumor that the Hohm Slice is made in the US, but found out it was designed here and manufactured in China, same is true of Evolve. I did read somewhere, I can't remember where but rumor has it that the TC Kanger uses was designed by TI. I guess that's close enough.

  7. While I couldn't comment for sure without speaking to Robert I believe this would cover most of our bases.

  8. We actually have a really awesome lawyer and on forums, generally speaking we're liabless. It's a bit hard to explain but we've already had a few companies try to come after us (earlier on nothing recent) I'm sure it'll be fine. I'll get everything setup this evening so the DIY'ers can go to town

  9. @Earthling789 Amen to not buying analogs.. .I realized getting started would be expensive...but I never thought I'd be getting this into it. I'm having all kinds of fun...I enjoy the taste of things again and want to try them all....I think I've spent about $300 and I have to stop but I wanted to make sure that if the deeming cuts us off I had back ups.... so I jumped in the vape pool with both feet. Now I have to start behaving. But there's just so much cool stuff.....

I'm about to head out to China in a week. If these are the most popular coils on the forum at the moment let me know. I know Danny quite well (co-owner of Kanger tech) and I'll likely have a meeting with him in Beijing. I'll see if we can't get a bunch of these in. Actually in saying that, anytime the board wants something in on the cheap and in demand, post up in the VT sub forum and I'll see about getting the stuff in

My confirmation of shipping was received on July 2nd... but that just means they created a label. It may be weeks before it actually leaves mainland China, and my packages seem to be shipped to Panama, and then delivered by pack-mule to the US border in AZ where carrier pigeons fly it to the US Customs office in Chicago (where it will sit and rot for another week or two), before being released from hostage-status to the USPS for final delivery (about 3-days, whereas I can drive to Chicago in 6-hours).

  12. I don't use to many FW flavorings, but have noticed the chocolates they carry are very dark. Yes I would still go at least 20. If you want a lighter color Chocolate then you may want to try The Flavor Apprentice (TFA). When it comes to chocolate and coffee flavors are dark by nature. The Caramel from TFA is a med tan color. I think it has good flavor as well. The darker color flavors will burn out coils faster, but it is the flavor that really matters. You know when it has too much flavor if it has a chemical after taste.

  13. I'll toss you a bone Tug... As a rule do not go below 20% on any flavoring to start, except Tobacco flavors. On high VG mixes that rule changes to 25%.
