... I picked up my first e-cigarette. It was an eGo 650 mAh topped off with a CE4 that was quickly replaced the next week with a T2 (short wick) that had just come out. Four days after that, I gave up the analogs altogether. Fast forward six months and I discovered Vapor Talk. The friendly and knowledgeable folks here helped my new found obsession grow. More friendly folks also worked hard to help me spend my money on new shiny things. With all the support and fun on Vapor Talk, four years have passed. I want to thank you all for making the journey so much fun!

  2. The FDA mentioned it will have a "task force" set in place to enforce these regulations. But more important is that states now have the right (again we're still going through all of this documentation) to not only enforce currently regulations but to enforce their own regulations. You mentioned how will this affect Vapor Talk and it's community and I can say that we will not, within the law, stifle or suppress conversation. The greatest right we have in this country is the right to free speech. Though most are unaware on the forum, we've had many cease and desist orders. One of them was actually from a well known candy company. (They asked us to remove three topics or face a lawsuit) my reply letter which is certified is actually up in my office with the rest. My response in legal jargon basically said "kiss my ***." (We were in the right) additionally we'd not only counter sue financially but would add a rider requesting partial payment in candy. (It's actually a pretty hilarious go between) This was before I sold Vapor Talk to The Whitney Group. Now to answer you questions about Vapor Talk. There are many big changes coming for VT as a company. (Many of you might have noted I've been absent for a couple of years outside of website maintenance) After a generous offer, I recently took back a large controlling stock in the company and am now sitting on the board. Additionally we're signing a multimillion dollar venture to push Vapor Talk globally (Two sister companies are opening in Asia and Europe) Furthermore we're releasing US created and mixed e-liquids 6 weeks from now +-. (That's about all I can mention before the PR release. The lawyers get antsy when I post. I was lovingly told not to be like the T Mobile CEO. I took that as a compliment) While many companies have gone up the popular chain and back down, we've been quietly working behind the scenes. It's taken a year of painstaking work after watching Vapor Talk struggle after leaving, but I can assure you - It feels like old times again with the regulation, we've been expecting this for quite time. I might not be this most filtered board member a company has ever brought back but let's be honest, the United States wasn't founded on following the rules. As someone who was British born, I like to think I'm keeping the tradition going. I hope and feel most vapers are on board. Vaping has always been the wild west industry and while we support proper, reasonable regulation, this recent release is total corporate backed horse****. Vapor Talk is your platform for communication on this and we're not going to sit back while the FDA pushes vapers back to traditional tobacco.

  5. I have a Kanger 120w TC with 2 LG HG2 batteries in it, I don't swap the batteries, but they will last me 4 - 5 days, because I use my other mods more. If I were to use it exclusively I'm sure it would last all day.

You're welcome Congrats on 4-yrs, Tam... Without you (and a few others) here when I joined Vapor Talk, I would not have learned all I have, and would probably still be killing myself slowly with analogs!

  7. It will take awhile I agree. Most of the vape hardware comes from China, Customs can stop a lot of that, but not all of it. And a lot can happen in 2 years, Its not up to local law enforcement to enforce Federal law, so much of it won't be enforced. Local cops probably will put it on the bottom of their priority list, and the feds don't have the manpower to search out every mom and pop operation, they have better things to do too I hope. I think the new FDA rules might not be enforced except at the border, and we all know how well the border is protected. To make things short I don't think much will change at all, besides Congress will have to fund the new vape police, and I don't see that happening any time soon. I looked it up, The FDA currently has 180 agents for enforcing FDA regulations.

  9. But, even 0 nic flavors are mentioned in the deeming regs and must be registered. They must be labeled as "Tobacco Products" even though there is no tobacco in them or any part of it derived from the tobacco plant. Even bottles used for the storage of |E-Liquid" are covered in these regs.

  10. @Compenstine See the quote below of what will happen in 90 days. You still have 2 years before you need to file and pay. Who is to say what will happen in 2 years. I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. The date the FDA choose was Feb 2007. Which we all know are the dreaded closed battery system. This is the whole point of HR 2058 and Cole-Bishop Amendment. This will give congress the ability to change that date. Hopefully something for the better. They are going to try and shoot for it to be changed to the year 2016.

  11. Well put @Christopher.... we will prevail... I've been through the Deeming, and it makes my head spin. The FDA is basically setting up these regulations like the Patent Office, where you must file your brief, do your studies, prove your relevance, and still can get told "no". @FXRich you are correct. Big Tobacco had their hands in setting the date, and in setting restrictions on "sealed" units. This effectively puts the likes of BLU and Vuze as the the only viable products. Juice manufacturers will spend millions jumping through hoops to get their liquids approved, but will have zero market if the only products available cannot be refilled.... It is a ban via regulation, yes... Personally, I thought of another avenue to sting the FDA with... Isn't there a regulation from the EPA which refers to battery waste, chemical waste, etc.? All these disposable cigalikes will surely cause some environmental disaster, right? I mean, rechargeable mods/batteries and refillable tanks should surely be praised by the Green movement....

Welcome to Vapor Talk. Unfortunately, we've heard similar reports about Ms. T's Bakery site all too often before. I'd contact your credit card company to see if you can't get your money back that way. From other people who have had problems with Mrs. T's, they couldn't get their issues resolved otherwise. Check our Supplier Reviews area for some suggestions to reputable vendors: http://www.vaportalk.com/forum/forum/303-supplier-reviews/ As you're new to the forum you won't be able to post there yet. Make three more posts and you'll be able to move around freely. We had to do this to keep spammers out.
