Since the coil isn't a tc coil it won't let me change it to tc mode but this coil is working right so I guess it's all good just had a few bad coils. It still doesn't make sense why I can't use it on the mod it's made for. Thanks for all your help Bebop and Tam1 point

It wouldn't hurt. The updates have made the menus easier to navigate, and easier shortcuts so to speak. Plus if you are into temp control, they updated some of the settings for the different wires. That being said, if you like it fine, it ain't broke. lol You can try the upgrade and roll it back to see which you prefer.1 point -
