  2. This should be in the news area but I found it important enough to post here. Costco and Target are already selling the E Smoke online and Walgreens is next up. Walgreens also plans to sell the NJOY in stores in the near future...! http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/ ... y0124.html This is going to be great especially if we run out of liquid and need a quick refill. The NJOY carts will work seamlessly with the PeeWee/RN4081. A little pricey but I hope NJOY works to change this in time

  3. Since Blucavvy got the thread going in "Bump when you buy something new", I thought it would be good to get a thread going on what we receive in vape mail. I'll start here. Just got three of the four custom HH.357 hybrid spec atomizers I sent back to Hanna to clean/repair. The fourth was beyond help so it was discarded. They're just like brand new again! On Monday I'll be shipping out two more of these for similar treatment. I probably wouldn't need to do this but I insist on using the dark, sweet juices so they gunk up faster and don't clean out as well. Great customer service has Avid Vaper. So, what did you get in YOUR vapemail today?

  4. I'm guessing this is the right place since I think it's the hardware. I have a 1000mah ego and a vivi nova tank using a 2.4 ohm atty. Sometimes when I exhale it burns really bad and lasts whenever I exhale the next couple breaths of air. It also burns my tongue in the same way sometimes. I noticed this especially with my first hit this morning. It doesn't always happen though.

  5. I've read some posts where people say that higher levels of nicotine make them sleepy. Can someone please explain to me how that works? I thought nicotine was a stimulant...??

  6. Thought this would be a good thread to give us an idea of what we all use and what new stuff we all try. Last night i bought a 30ml of TVR Ginger's RY4, and for my free 3ml i picked Strawberry Cheesecake. Both at 18mg and 75/25 vg/pg. Love TVR juice, still the best i've ever tried, and they're prices (which are amazing) and the fact that it's 100% sourced and manufactured in America is awesome.

    Coloured Clouds

Nope. If I were you I would reflect colored lights at the cloud. my quick answer, without a terrible amount of thought, is that in order to produce color the vapor would have to contain particles. And that's not good. Vapor is essentially liquid that is atomized - it's a true cloud. It looks white because of natural reflection of light off tiny "water" particles. In order for the cloud to appear red, for example, you have to beam it with red light, or, it has to have particle matter that reflects red light only from white light. You don't want anything to do with inhaling particles of matter like that. Not just a bad idea, but possibly fatal if it's even feasible.

Hi Comp, Not singling you out, I`m sorry you came to that conclusion, a bit premature on your part maybe? But in all honesty, that is your prerogative. I really don`t know how you would take it personally, but that is beyond my control. I tend to abbreviate, that`s just me. I am NOT JUDGING people, that`s your opinion only and I wont own that. I AM however JUDGING actions. You like Vaping in public places? Even in dedicated lounges? Well, every anti-vaper now has the power of the internet to prove to others why you should not have that freedom. To be able to tell you not to, to pass laws prohibiting you to do so, to even pass laws making the ownership of such devices completely ILLEGAL if they get enough dumbass`s to believe their argument. All in the name of public safety they`ll say. The internet never forgets, and now the radical self righteous know it all`s have the ability to pull this up and show it to all the "Unbelievers"! FOREVER! You think we are the only people talking about this specific case? Each and EVERY time this happens (and it can only happen more if this is encouraged), the anti vaping agenda will get a little more proof that they should be in control, you want that? A little more proof that anyone even having such a device on their person while in a public space is a serious danger to all the other nose led sheeple. Realize that even with the bestest most fantastic gold plated clergy blessed battery, it can be inherently dangerous. And to encourage young adults who in some case`s may even be children to do this is counterproductive to the rest of us vapors. I am not against cloud chasing, we all like to see that big cloud, but to ENCOURAGE an inherent dangerous activity in a "competition" setting, just for "balls" sake, well, Iv made my argument. Final comment. I`v personally been treated like a child beating scumbag because I chose to vape instead of smoke, encouraging this "competing" attitude will only ensure that I`m treated even worst. I`ll stick by my logic. And no harm no foal buddy, :?) Best, Randall

Ummmm You referring to me? A lot of people call me Comp here... BTW Yes I do CC from time to time so that makes me a Dumbass? I think it is lame to insult and Judge all for the stupidity of a few. ------------------------ "Though the explosion occurred during a cloud competition, the mod that blew up was not owned by any of the competitors in the contest." "the rest of the evening was hushed and subdued as conversations focused on the importance of safety" "(added 08/20/14) A NOTE FROM THE SHOW ORGANIZER: Please note that as a precaution; we, the event organizers decided to cancel the second cloud comp that was scheduled for Sunday. In light of what happened on Saturday, we used the time to have a battery safety class. It was very well received and I believe better attention was paid due to the events of Saturday evening. The entire rest of the day’s give aways focused on encouraging people to ditch bad/unsafe batteries. Many exhibitors stepped up with valuable prizes for surrendering bad batteries." -------------------------------- Those that do this and ignore the safety precautions are not too bright, that I agree on. The ones that think this is toy for amusement are the ones that should think twice about those around them. This is why when new people come on the forum we emphasize safety! Most friends I have that do these competitions are extremely safety conscious. It is the few that don't do the home work and follow ohms law that blow their face off and can harm others around them. I'm glad no one got hurt and hope this person learned a valuable lesson. Seems the people running the event were also doing the wise thing and teaching safety. Maybe what these events should have is a class in safety at every event, spot lighting things like this to show how dangerous it can be. Also add the old standby warning "This can be dangerous and should not be attempted without proper training."

You know, as a dedicated vapor that loves the hobby, I would encourage anyone and everyone to frown on cloud comps. Make then the bane of the vaping world. Oh ya, you cloud comp? What a dumbass! Lost any teeth lately? They are simply childish. Its like handing out dynamite to children then telling them to have some sort of competition with it. Its all very subjective anyways, and in no way does it improve the public opinion of the vaping community. Especially when this happens, and it will always happen when you are trying to control a stick of potential dynamite. Just saying is all, :?)

The only reports I have seen about Texas are a some eGo's that blew when charging. Most were people charging them to long or not using the charger that came with the battery. Do you have a link? If so please post it.

I couldnt agree more with this Chris. It is a disturbing trend to see some of the questions that are asked. I do not chime in because I have vaped for about a year and a half now and never even considered anything I have to build or rebuild because its not in my forte' of skills lol. It really should be an activity practiced by the top few % of vapers that have an honest and true understanding of it. Like I have said many times, the misuse of Mechs and batteries by noobs not ready for advanced PVs are in my opinion the single biggest threat to the future legality of vaping.

A good reason to choose IMR over Li-ion batteries. IMR will vent and the chance of exploding is slim if your mod has proper venting in place.

What ohm coils do I want?

Going to order some coils for my EVOD tanks, but which ohms do I want? They list 1.8, 2.2, and 2.5. What role does resistance play?

  33. I agree , and also if my nic level is too high ,I have some vanilla and cherry that were high nic 100 pg I bought a bottle a vg at cvs and diluted them totally did the trick. I diluted 2 parts eliquid to 1 part v glycerin.

  34. Again by the time you are old enough to vape if you had a PG allergy you would know it already. I think PG allergy is kind of like ADHD....way too quickly diagnosed. Anytime I see this I ask how much fluids have you taken in? You are most likely dehydrated if you haven't upped your "good fluid" intake. I had sore throat, heartburn, and many other side effects at first and all were solved by drinking more water.

    E juice burning my throat

Also, are you eating anything or drinking anything while you are vaping or just before. I have noticed unpleasant effects on the mouth and tongue if vaping directly after consuming juice, coffee, salsa, etc...but it depends on the juice flavor.
    1 point
  36. This could be caused by several things. Are you getting juice in your mouth? Just a little bit of unvaporized juice in your mouth can cause a burning sensation. Also, what pg/vg ratio are you using? Some people have an allergic reaction to pg and have to switch to an all vg e-juice. Finally, depending on how the burn feels, it could be the resistance on your atomizer is causing the smoke to get too hot, although I can't imagine it getting hot enough to burn you for several breaths afterwards.

  37. Hey all! So this is a problem I've had with a couple of different types of bottom coil clearomizers. After a few uses, the base portion where the atomizer coil is located will get stuck (making it really difficult to clean out between uses). I think it is because some of the juices will leak through, making it sticky. When that happens, usually the only way I'm able to unscrew it is with a good amount of effort and a pair of pliers, which often leads to some scratching.. Has anybody else run into this problem? Is there an easy / damage free way to get the base unstuck when it happens?

  38. resistance plays a factor with voltage. what type of device are you using? for me, i use a standard 3.7v ego mostly, and when i pair that with a 1.8ohm carto/clearo etc.... it gives me a warm (not hot), thick vapor. generally the easy way to look at it is, the lower the resistance the warmer the vapor will be. so take for instance a 3ohm carto, you would want to pair that with more of like a 5v device. less than 2 ohms right around 4v is good right around 3 ohms 5 volts is good right around 4 ohms 6 volts is good that's certainly not the case for everyone but it's an easy to remember scale. if you want a warm, thick vapor that's a rudimentary scale. if you want a cooler vape it would look more like less than 2 ohms right around 4.5 volts right around 3 ohms 5.5-6 volts etc.....
    1 point
  39. Try running some hot water over the base (after removing clearomizer from battery first ) then, if it's still not cooperating I'd use a couple of small pieces of rubber shelf liner to give you a better grip. In a pinch, wind a couple of rubber bands around the base of the clearomizer and the main tank. That should help?

  43. Sorry if this is rehashing old things here but I believe in being concise. Who are the best 100% VG liquid suppliers? To me it seems like most people blend. Or most people at least prefer PG. I think I have come to the conclusion that I am not a PG person at all. It tastes funny to me. In fact when I vape PG liquid no matter what flavor it all kinda tastes the same to me. At least the aftertaste is the same. VG seems better to me, little to no aftertaste and clearer flavor and more vapor. It kinda boggles my mind that so many people seem to like PG and remark on how much better it tastes. Does anyone else feel this way? So who are your favorites?
    1 point
  44. So an Ohm is a measurement of resistance. So, that means if I want the low resistance ones I get the lower nubmer right? buy the 2 Ohm rather than the 3 Ohm. Why would someone want a bigger resistance? wouldn't it be like sucking on an empty carto? or would I not notice a difference? I'm using my eGo with the standard battery 650mAh - I think. Whatever the kit came with.
    1 point
  45. I have no clue what they came with, they are thin. Thinner than my cartomizers. If they are standard, is that why I find it hard to draw on it sometimes? Can I just order low resistance atomizers that fit 510's? Is that why I have to order a drip tip too? Mine came with a 'mouth piece' as part of the atomizer...no cartridge. shrug
    1 point
  46. I prefer LR atomizers on my eGo's the flavor and throat hit is miles better (for me) Like Mcquinn said, it does drain the battery faster. I get a good 6 hours or so out of it even using LR attys. Standard would be any where from 2.2-2.8ohms. 2.2 is sort of low, but I've seen them sold as "standard" resistance. 3.0 and higher is meant to be used vaping with a higher voltage device, and your eGo is around 3.7. I would stay away from the higher resistance atomizers. 1.5 ohm is what I use, which is your basic LR atomizer. 2.0 ohms will be very similar but not drain your battery quite as quick. Your kit came with standard atomizers, unless you requested LR. Probably around 2.5ohms, depending on the brand.
    1 point
  47. The lower ohms or using higher voltage than 3.9 makes the element get hotter. That makes vapor quicker and more abundant .It also changes the flavor of some liquids .It will cause you use liquid a little faster as you will vaporise more of it quicker so topping off or dripping will be more frequent.I perxonally don't care for it .Deang liquid which I prefer seems to be best vaped at standard resistance at 3.9 volts. It is like liquid flavors a personal preference.Low resistance will also drain your batteries quicker .
